1 Dies sind die Kinder Israels: Ruben, Simeon, Levi, Juda, Isaschar, Sebulon, 2 Dan, Joseph, Benjamin, Naphthali, Gad, Asser.
3 Die Kinder Juda's sind: Ger, Onan, Sela. Die drei wurden ihm geboren von der Kanaanitin, der Tochter Suas. Ger aber, der erste Sohn Juda's, war böse vor dem HERRN; darum tötete er ihn. 4 Thamar aber, seine Schwiegertochter, gebar ihm Perez und Serah, daß aller Kinder Juda's waren fünf. 5 Die Kinder des Perez sind: Hezron und Hamul. 6 Die Kinder aber Serahs sind: Simri, Ethan, Heman, Chalkol, Dara. Diese alle sind fünf. 7 Die Kinder Charmis sind Achan, welcher Israel betrübte, da er sich am Verbannten vergriff. 8 Die Kinder Ethans sind: Asarja. 9 Die Kinder aber Hezrons, die ihm geboren, sind: Jerahmeel, Ram, Chalubai. 10 Ram aber zeugte Amminadab. Amminadab zeugte Nahesson, den Fürsten der Kinder Juda. 11 Nahesson zeugte Salma. Salma zeugte Boas. 12 Boas zeugte Obed. Obed zeugte Isai.
13 Isai zeugte seinen ersten Sohn Eliab; Abinadab, den zweiten; Simea, den dritten; 14 Nathanel, den vierten; Raddai, den fünften; 15 Ozem, den sechsten; David, den siebenten. 16 Und ihre Schwestern waren: Zeruja und Abigail. Die Kinder Zerujas sind Abisai, Joab, Asahael, die drei. 17 Abigail aber gebar Amasa. Der Vater aber Amasas war Jether, ein Ismaeliter.
18 Kaleb, der Sohn Hezrons, zeugte mit Asuba, seiner Frau, und mit Jerigoth; und dies sind derselben Kinder: Jeser, Sobab und Ardon. 19 Da aber Asuba starb, nahm Kaleb Ephrath; die gebar ihm Hur. 20 Hur zeugte Uri. Uri zeugte Bezaleel.
21 Darnach kam Hezron zu der Tochter Machirs, des Vaters Gileads, und er nahm sie, da er sechzig Jahre alt war; und sie gebar ihm Segub. 22 Segub aber zeugte Jair; der hatte dreiundzwanzig Städte im Lande Gilead. 23 Aber die Gessuriter und Syrer nahmen ihnen die Flecken Jairs, dazu Kenath mit seinen Ortschaften, sechzig Städte. Diese alle sind Kinder Machirs, des Vaters Gileads. 24 Nach dem Tode Hezrons in Kaleb Ephratha gebar Hezrons Weib Abia ihm Ashur, den Vater Thekoas.
25 Jerahmeel, der erste Sohn Hezrons, hatte Kinder: den ersten, Ram, Buna, Oren und Ozem und Ahia. 26 Und Jerahmeel hatte noch ein anderes Weib, die hieß Atara; die ist die Mutter Onams. 27 Die Kinder aber Rams, des ersten Sohnes Jerahmeels, sind: Maaz, Jamin und Eker. 28 Aber Onam hatte Kinder: Sammai und Jada. Die Kinder aber Sammais sind: Nadab und Abisur. 29 Das Weib aber Abisurs hieß Abihail, die gebar Achban und Molid. 30 Die Kinder aber Nadabs sind: Seled und Appaim; und Seled starb ohne Kinder. 31 Die Kinder Appaims sind: Jesai. Die Kinder Jesais sind: Sesan. Die Kinder Sesans sind: Ahelai. 32 Die Kinder aber Jadas, des Bruders Sammais, sind: Jether und Jonathan; Jether aber starb ohne Kinder. 33 Die Kinder aber Jonathans sind: Peleth und Sasa. Das sind die Kinder Jerahmeels.
34 Sesan aber hatte nicht Söhne, sondern Töchter. Und Sesan hatte einen ägyptischen Knecht, der hieß Jarha. 35 Und Sesan gab Jarha, seinem Knecht seine Tochter zum Weibe; die gebar ihm Atthai. 36 Atthai zeugte Nathan. Nathan zeugte Sabad. 37 Sabad zeugte Ephlal. Ephlal zeugte Obed. 38 Obed zeugte Jehu. Jehu zeugte Asarja. 39 Asarja zeugte Helez. Helez zeugte Eleasa. 40 Eleasa zeugte Sisemai. Sisemai zeugte Sallum. 41 Sallum zeugte Jekamja. Jekamja zeugte Elisama.
42 Die Kinder Kalebs, des Bruder Jerahmeels, sind: Mesa, sein erster Sohn, der ist der Vater Siphs, und die Kinder Maresas, des Vaters Hebrons. 43 Die Kinder aber Hebrons sind: Korah, Tappuah, Rekem und Sama. 44 Sama aber zeugte Raham, den Vater Jorkeams. Rekem zeugte Sammai. 45 Der Sohn aber Sammais hieß Maon, und Maon war der Vater Beth-Zurs. 46 Epha aber, das Kebsweib Kalebs, gebar Haran, Moza und Gases. Haran aber zeugte Gases. 47 Die Kinder aber Jahdais sind: Regem, Jotham, Gesan, Pelet, Epha und Saaph. 48 Aber Maacha, das Kebsweib Kalebs, gebar Seber und Thirhena 49 und gebar auch Saaph, den Vater Madmannas, und Sewa, den Vater Machbenas und den Vater Gibeas. Aber Achsa war Kalebs Tochter.
50 Dies waren die Kinder Kalebs: die Söhne Hurs, des ersten Sohn's von der Ephratha: Sobal, der Vater Kirjath-Jearims; 51 Salma, der Vater Bethlehems; Hareph, der Vater Bethgaders. 52 Und Sobal, der Vater Kirjath-Jearims, hatte Söhne: Haroe und die Hälfte der Manahthiter. 53 Die Freundschaften aber zu Kirjath-Jearim waren die Jethriter, Puthiter, Sumathiter und Misraiter. Von diesen sind ausgegangen die Zorathiter und Esthaoliter. 54 Die Kinder Salmas sind Bethlehem und die Netophathiter, Atharoth des Hauses Joabs und die Hälfte der Manahthiter, das sind die Zoraiter. 55 Und die Freundschaften der Schreiber, die zu Jabez wohnten, sind die Thireathiter, Simeathiter, Suchathiter. Das sind die Kiniter, die da gekommen sind von Hammath, dem Vater des Hauses Rechabs.

Israel’s Descendants
1 These were the sons of Israel:t
Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah;
Issachar and Zebulun;
2 Dan, Joseph, and Benjamin;
Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.
Judah’s Descendants
3 The sons of Judah:
Er, Onan, and Shelah. These three were born to him by Bathshua,t a Canaanite woman. Er, Judah’s firstborn, displeased the Lord, so the Lord killed him.t
4 Tamar, Judah’st daughter-in-law, bore to him Perez and Zerah. Judah had five sons in all.
5 The sons of Perez:
Hezron and Hamul.
6 The sons of Zerah:
Zimri, Ethan, Heman, Kalkol, Daras – five in all.
7 The sont of Carmi:
Achan,s who brought the disaster on Israel when he stole what was devoted to God.t
8 The sont of Ethan:
Azariah.
9 The sons born to Hezron:
Jerahmeel, Ram, and Caleb.t
Ram’s Descendants
10 Ram was the father of Amminadab, and Amminadab was the father of Nahshon, the tribal chief of Judah.11 Nahshon was the father of Salma,s and Salma was the father of Boaz.
12 Boaz was the father of Obed, and Obed was the father of Jesse.
13 Jesse was the father of Eliab, his firstborn; Abinadab was born second, Shimea third,14 Nethanel fourth, Raddai fifth,15 Ozem sixth, David seventh.16 Their sisters were Zeruiah and Abigail. Zeruiah’s three sons were Abshai,t Joab, and Asahel.
17 Abigail bore Amasa, whose father was Jether the Ishmaelite.
Caleb’s Descendants
18 Caleb son of Hezron fathered sons by his wife Azubah (also known as Jerioth).t Her sons were Jesher, Shobab, and Ardon.19 When Azubah died, Caleb marriedt Ephrath, who bore him Hur.
20 Hur was the father of Uri, and Uri was the father of Bezalel.
21 Laters Hezron had sexual relations witht the daughter of Makir, the father of Gilead. (He had marriedt her when he was sixty years old.) She bore him Segub.22 Segub was the father of Jair, who owned twenty-three cities in the land of Gilead.
23 (Geshur and Aram captured the towns of Jair,t along with Kenath and its sixty surrounding towns.) All these were descendants of Makir, the father of Gilead.
24 After Hezron’s death, Caleb had sexual relations with Ephrath, his father Hezron’s widow, and she bore to him Ashhur the father of Tekoa.t
Jerahmeel’s Descendants
25 The sons of Jerahmeel, Hezron’s firstborn, were Ram, the firstborn, Bunah, Oren, Ozem, and Ahijah.
26 Jerahmeel had another wife named Atarah; she was Onam’s mother.
27 The sons of Ram, Jerahmeel’s firstborn, were Maaz, Jamin, and Eker.
28 The sons of Onam were Shammai and Jada.
The sons of Shammai:
Nadab and Abishur.
29 Abishur’s wife was Abihail, who bore him Ahban and Molid.
30 The sons of Nadab:
Seled and Appaim. (Seled died without having sons.)
31 The sont of Appaim:
Ishi.
The son of Ishi:
Sheshan.
The son of Sheshan:
Ahlai.
32 The sons of Jada, Shammai’s brother:
Jether and Jonathan. (Jether died without having sons.)
33 The sons of Jonathan:
Peleth and Zaza.
These were the descendants of Jerahmeel.
34 Sheshan had no sons, only daughters. Sheshan had an Egyptian servant named Jarha.
35 Sheshan gave his daughter to his servant Jarha as a wife; she bore him Attai.
36 Attai was the father of Nathan, and Nathan was the father of Zabad.37 Zabad was the father of Ephlal, and Ephlal was the father of Obed.38 Obed was the father of Jehu, and Jehu was the father of Azariah.39 Azariah was the father of Helez, and Helez was the father of Eleasah.40 Eleasah was the father of Sismai, and Sismai was the father of Shallum.
41 Shallum was the father of Jekamiah, and Jekamiah was the father of Elishama.

43 The sons of Hebron:

45 Shammai’s son was Maon, who was the father of Beth-Zur.
46 Caleb’s concubines Ephah bore Haran, Moza, and Gazez. Haran was the father of Gazez.

52 The sons of Shobal, the father of Kiriath Jearim, were Haroeh, half of the Manahathites,t
53 the clans of Kiriath Jearim – the Ithrites, Puthites, Shumathites, and Mishraites. (The Zorathites and Eshtaolites descended from these groups.)t
54 The sons of Salma:
Bethlehem, the Netophathites, Atroth Beth-Joab, half the Manahathites, the Zorites,
55 and the clans of the scribest who lived in Jabez: the Tirathites, Shimeathites, and Sucathites. These are the Kenites who descendedt from Hammath, the father of Beth-Rechab.t
