1 Chronicles 3

1 Now these were the sons of David, that were born unto him in Hebron: the first-born, Amnon, of Ahinoam the Jezreelitess; the second, Daniel, of Abigail the Carmelitess;2 the third, Absalom the son of Maacah the daughter of Talmai king of Geshur; the fourth, Adonijah the son of Haggith;3 the fifth, Shephatiah of Abital; the sixth, Ithream by Eglah his wife:4 six were born unto him in Hebron; and there he reigned seven years and six months. And in Jerusalem he reigned thirty and three years;5 and these were born unto him in Jerusalem: Shimea, and Shobab, and Nathan, and Solomon, four, of Bath-shua the daughter of Ammiel;6 and Ibhar, and Elishama, and Eliphelet,7 and Nogah, and Nepheg, and Japhia,8 and Elishama, and Eliada, and Eliphelet, nine.9 All these were the sons of David, besides the sons of the concubines; and Tamar was their sister.

10 And Solomon’s son was Rehoboam, Abijah his son, Asa his son, Jehoshaphat his son,11 Joram his son, Ahaziah his son, Joash his son,12 Amaziah his son, Azariah his son, Jotham his son,13 Ahaz his son, Hezekiah his son, Manasseh his son,14 Amon his son, Josiah his son.15 And the sons of Josiah: the first-born Johanan, the second Jehoiakim, the third Zedekiah, the fourth Shallum.16 And the sons of Jehoiakim: Jeconiah his son, Zedekiah his son.17 And the sons of Jeconiah, the captive: Shealtiel his son,18 and Malchiram, and Pedaiah, and Shenazzar, Jekamiah, Hoshama, and Nedabiah.19 And the sons of Pedaiah: Zerubbabel, and Shimei. And the sons of Zerubbabel: Meshullam, and Hananiah; and Shelomith was their sister;20 and Hashubah, and Ohel, and Berechiah, and Hasadiah, Jushab-hesed, five.21 And the sons of Hananiah: Pelatiah, and Jeshaiah; the sons of Rephaiah, the sons of Arnan, the sons of Obadiah, the sons of Shecaniah.22 And the sons of Shecaniah: Shemaiah. And the sons of Shemaiah: Hattush, and Igal, and Bariah, and Neariah, and Shaphat, six.23 And the sons of Neariah: Elioenai, and Hizkiah, and Azrikam, three.24 And the sons of Elioenai: Hodaviah, and Eliashib, and Pelaiah, and Akkub, and Johanan, and Delaiah, and Anani, seven.

David’s Descendants

1 These were the sons of David who were born to him in Hebron:
The firstborn was Amnon, whose mother was Ahinoam from Jezreel;
the second was Daniel, whose mother was Abigail from Carmel;

2 the third was Absalom whose mother was Maacah, daughter of King Talmai of Geshur;
the fourth was Adonijah, whose mother was Haggith;

3 the fifth was Shephatiah, whose mother was Abital;
the sixth was Ithream, whose mother was Eglah.

4 These six were born to Davidt in Hebron, where he ruled for seven years and six months.
He ruled thirty-three years in Jerusalem.s

5 These were the sons born to him in Jerusalem:
Shimea,t Shobab, Nathan, and Solomon – the mother of these four was Bathshebat the daughter of Ammiel.t
6 The other nine were Ibhar, Elishua,t Elpelet,t7 Nogah, Nepheg, Japhia,

8 Elishama, Eliada, and Eliphelet.

9 These were all the sons of David, not counting the sons of his concubines.s Tamar was their sister.

Solomon’s Descendants

10 Solomon’s son was Rehoboam,
followed by Abijah his son,
Asa his son,
Jehoshaphat his son,

11 Jorams his son,
Ahaziah his son,
Joash his son,

12 Amaziah his son,
Azariah his son,
Jotham his son,

13 Ahaz his son,
Hezekiah his son,
Manasseh his son,

14 Amon his son,
Josiah his son.

15 The sons of Josiah:
Johanan was the firstborn; Jehoiakim was born second; Zedekiah third; and Shallum fourth.

16 The sons of Jehoiakim:
his son Jehoiachint and his son Zedekiah.

17 The sons of Jehoiachin the exile:t
Shealtiel his son,

18 Malkiram, Pedaiah, Shenazzar, Jekamiah, Hoshama, and Nedabiah.

19 The sons of Pedaiah:
Zerubbabel and Shimei.
The sons of Zerubbabel:
Meshullam and Hananiah. Shelomith was their sister.

20 The five others were Hashubah, Ohel, Berechiah, Hasadiah, and Jushab-Hesed.

21 The descendants of Hananiah:
Pelatiah, Jeshaiah, the sons of Rephaiah, of Arnan, of Obadiah, and of Shecaniah.

22 The descendants of Shecaniah:
Shemaiah and his sons: Hattush, Igal, Bariah, Neariah, and Shaphat – six in all.

23 The sons of Neariah:
Elioenai, Hizkiah, and Azrikam – three in all.

24 The sons of Elioenai:
Hodaviah, Eliashib, Pelaiah, Akkub, Johanan, Delaiah, and Anani – seven in all.
