ของประทานจากพระวิญญาณ
1 พี่น้องทั้งหลาย ข้าพเจ้าอยากให้ท่านเข้าใจเกี่ยวกับของประทานจากพระวิญญาณ 2 พวกท่านรู้แล้วว่าแต่ก่อนที่ยังเป็นคนต่างศาสนาอยู่นั้น พวกท่านถูกชักจูงและนำให้หลงไปนับถือรูปเคารพซึ่งพูดไม่ได้ ไม่ว่าจะด้วยทางใด 3 เพราะฉะนั้นข้าพเจ้าขอบอกให้ทราบว่า ไม่มีใครที่พูดโดยพระวิญญาณของพระเจ้าจะพูดว่า “ให้เยซูเป็นที่สาปแช่ง” และไม่มีใครสามารถพูดว่า “พระเยซูเป็นองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า” นอกจากจะพูดโดยพระวิญญาณบริสุทธิ์
4 ของประทานนั้นมีต่างๆ กัน แต่มีพระวิญญาณองค์เดียวกัน 5 การปรนนิบัติมีต่างๆ กัน แต่มีองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าองค์เดียวกัน 6 กิจกรรมมีต่างๆ กัน แต่มีพระเจ้าองค์เดียวกันเป็นต้นเหตุแห่งกิจกรรมทั้งหมดในทุกคน 7 การสำแดงของพระวิญญาณนั้น พระองค์ประทานแก่แต่ละคนเพื่อประโยชน์ร่วมกัน 8 พระเจ้าประทานโดยทางพระวิญญาณ ให้คนหนึ่งมีถ้อยคำของปัญญา และให้อีกคนหนึ่งมีถ้อยคำของความรู้ โดยพระวิญญาณองค์เดียวกัน 9 และให้อีกคนหนึ่งมีความเชื่อ โดยพระวิญญาณองค์เดียวกัน ให้อีกคนหนึ่งมีของประทานในการรักษาโรค โดยพระวิญญาณองค์เดียวกัน 10 ให้อีกคนหนึ่งทำการด้วยฤทธานุภาพ ให้อีกคนหนึ่งเผยพระวจนะ ให้อีกคนหนึ่งรู้จักสังเกตวิญญาณต่างๆ ให้อีกคนหนึ่งพูดภาษาแปลกๆ และให้อีกคนหนึ่งแปลภาษานั้นๆ ได้ 11 พระวิญญาณองค์เดียวกันทรงทำและจัดสรรสิ่งเหล่านี้ทั้งหมดแก่แต่ละคนตามชอบพระทัยพระองค์t
กายเดียวที่ประกอบด้วยหลายอวัยวะ
12 เพราะว่า เหมือนกับร่างกายเดียวที่มีหลายๆ อวัยวะ และอวัยวะทั้งหมดของร่างกายนั้นแม้จะมีหลายส่วนก็ยังเป็นร่างกายเดียว พระคริสต์ก็ทรงเป็นเช่นนั้นt 13 เพราะว่าไม่ว่าจะเป็นยิวหรือกรีก ทาสหรือเสรีชน เราได้รับบัพติศมาในtพระวิญญาณองค์เดียวเข้าเป็นกายเดียวกัน และพระวิญญาณองค์เดียวกันเป็นเหมือนน้ำที่ประทานให้เราทุกคนได้ดื่ม
14 เพราะว่าร่างกายไม่ได้ประกอบด้วยอวัยวะเดียว แต่ด้วยหลายอวัยวะ 15 ถ้าเท้าจะพูดว่า “เพราะฉันไม่ได้เป็นมือ ฉันจึงไม่เป็นอวัยวะของร่างกาย” เท้าก็ไม่เป็นอวัยวะของร่างกายเพราะเหตุนี้ย่อมไม่ได้ 16 ถ้าหูจะพูดว่า “เพราะฉันไม่ได้เป็นตา ฉันจึงไม่เป็นอวัยวะของร่างกาย” หูก็ไม่เป็นอวัยวะของร่างกายเพราะเหตุนี้ย่อมไม่ได้ 17 ถ้าร่างกายทั้งหมดเป็นตา การได้ยินจะอยู่ที่ไหน? ถ้าร่างกายทั้งหมดเป็นหู การดมกลิ่นจะอยู่ที่ไหน? 18 แต่พระเจ้าทรงตั้งอวัยวะแต่ละอวัยวะไว้ในร่างกายตามชอบพระทัยของพระองค์ 19 ถ้าอวัยวะทั้งหมดเป็นอวัยวะเดียว ร่างกายจะมีที่ไหน? 20 ความจริงมีอวัยวะหลายอย่าง แต่ก็ยังเป็นร่างกายเดียวกัน 21 และตาก็ไม่สามารถพูดกับมือว่า “ฉันไม่ต้องการเธอ” หรือศีรษะจะพูดกับเท้าว่า “ฉันไม่ต้องการเธอ” 22 แต่หลายๆ อวัยวะของร่างกายที่เราคิดว่าอ่อนแอกว่า ก็ยังเป็นสิ่งจำเป็น 23 อวัยวะของร่างกายที่เราคิดว่าไร้เกียรติ เราก็ยังทำให้มีเกียรติยิ่งขึ้น และอวัยวะที่ควรปกปิด เราก็ทำด้วยความสุภาพเป็นพิเศษ 24 เพราะว่าอวัยวะที่น่าดูแล้ว ก็ไม่จำเป็นต้องตกแต่งอีก แต่พระเจ้าทรงจัดวางร่างกาย โดยการประทานเกียรติมากยิ่งขึ้นแก่อวัยวะที่ต่ำต้อย 25 เพื่อไม่ให้มีการแตกแยกกันในร่างกาย แต่ให้อวัยวะต่างๆ มีความห่วงใยแบบเดียวกันต่อกันและกัน 26 ถ้าอวัยวะหนึ่งทุกข์ อวัยวะทั้งหมดก็ร่วมทุกข์ด้วย ถ้าอวัยวะหนึ่งได้รับเกียรติ อวัยวะทั้งหมดก็ร่วมชื่นชมยินดีด้วย
27 ส่วนท่านทั้งหลายเป็นกายของพระคริสต์ และแต่ละอวัยวะก็เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของกายนั้น 28 พระเจ้าทรงตั้งบางคนไว้ในคริสตจักร คือหนึ่ง บรรดาอัครทูต สอง บรรดาผู้เผยพระวจนะ สาม บรรดาอาจารย์t ต่อจากนั้น ผู้ทำการด้วยฤทธานุภาพ ต่อจากนั้น ของประทานในการรักษาโรค พวกที่ให้ความช่วยเหลือ พวกผู้นำและพวกที่รู้ภาษาแปลกๆ 29 ทุกคนเป็นอัครทูตหรือ? ทุกคนเป็นผู้เผยพระวจนะหรือ? ทุกคนเป็นอาจารย์หรือ? ทุกคนทำการด้วยฤทธานุภาพหรือ? 30 ทุกคนมีของประทานในการรักษาโรคหรือ? ทุกคนพูดภาษาแปลกๆ หรือ? ทุกคนแปลได้หรือ? 31 แต่ท่านทั้งหลายจงขวนขวายของประทานต่างๆ ที่ยิ่งใหญ่กว่า
ความรัก
และข้าพเจ้าจะชี้ให้เห็นถึงทางที่ดีที่สุดแก่ท่านทั้งหลาย
1 Corinthians 12
1 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.2 Ye know that when ye were Gentiles ye were led away unto those dumb idols, howsoever ye might led.3 Wherefore I make known unto you, that no man speaking in the Spirit of God saith, Jesus is anathema; and no man can say, Jesus is Lord, but in the Holy Spirit.4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.5 And there are diversities of ministrations, and the same Lord.6 And there are diversities of workings, but the same God, who worketh all things in all.7 But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit to profit withal.8 For to one is given through the Spirit the word of wisdom; and to another the word of knowledge, according to the same Spirit:9 to another faith, in the same Spirit; and to another gifts of healings, in the one Spirit;10 and to another workings of miracles; and to another prophecy; and to another discernings of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; and to another the interpretation of tongues:11 but all these worketh the one and the same Spirit, dividing to each one severally even as he will.12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of the body, being many, are one body; so also is Christ.13 For in one Spirit were we all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether bond or free; and were all made to drink of one Spirit.14 For the body is not one member, but many.15 If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; it is not therefore not of the body.16 And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; it is not therefore not of the body.17 If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?18 But now hath God set the members each one of them in the body, even as it pleased him.19 And if they were all one member, where were the body?20 But now they are many members, but one body.21 And the eye cannot say to the hand, I have no need of thee: or again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.22 Nay, much rather, those members of the body which seem to be more feeble are necessary:23 and those parts of the body, which we think to be less honorable, upon these we bestow more abundant honor; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness;24 whereas our comely parts have no need: but God tempered the body together, giving more abundant honor to that part which lacked;25 that there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.26 And whether one member suffereth, all the members suffer with it; or one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and severally members thereof.28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondly prophets, thirdly teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, divers kinds of tongues.29 Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?30 have all gifts of healings? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?31 But desire earnestly the greater gifts. And moreover a most excellent way show I unto you.
