1 โครินธ์ 12

1 พี่น้องทั้งหลาย บัดนี้ข้าพเจ้าอยากให้ท่านเข้าใจเรื่องของประทานฝ่ายจิตวิญญาณนั้น2 ท่านรู้แล้วว่า แต่ก่อนท่านยังเป็นคนไม่เชื่อนั้น ท่านถูกชักนำให้หลงไปนับถือรูปเคารพซึ่งพูดไม่ได้ตามแต่ท่านจะถูกนำไป3 เหตุฉะนั้นข้าพเจ้าจึงบอกท่านทั้งหลายให้ทราบว่า ไม่มีผู้ใดซึ่งพูดโดยพระวิญญาณของพระเจ้าจะเรียกพระเยซูว่า ผู้ที่ถูกสาปแช่ง และไม่มีผู้ใดอาจพูดว่าพระเยซูเป็นองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า นอกจากผู้ที่พูดโดยพระวิญญาณบริสุทธิ์4 แล้วของประทานนั้นมีต่างๆกัน แต่มีพระวิญญาณองค์เดียวกัน5 งานรับใช้มีต่างๆกัน แต่มีองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าองค์เดียวกัน6 กิจกรรมมีต่างๆกัน แต่มีพระเจ้าองค์เดียวกันที่ทรงกระทำสารพัดในทุกคน7 การสำแดงของพระวิญญาณนั้นมีแก่ทุกคนเพื่อประโยชน์ร่วมกัน8 ด้วยพระวิญญาณทรงโปรดประทานให้คนหนึ่งมีถ้อยคำประกอบด้วยสติปัญญา และให้อีกคนหนึ่งมีถ้อยคำอันประกอบด้วยความรู้ แต่เป็นโดยพระวิญญาณองค์เดียวกัน9 และให้อีกคนหนึ่งมีความเชื่อ แต่เป็นโดยพระวิญญาณองค์เดียวกัน และให้อีกคนหนึ่งมีความสามารถรักษาคนป่วยได้ แต่เป็นโดยพระวิญญาณองค์เดียวกัน10 และให้อีกคนหนึ่งทำการอัศจรรย์ต่างๆ และให้อีกคนหนึ่งพยากรณ์ได้ และให้อีกคนหนึ่งรู้จักสังเกตวิญญาณต่างๆ และให้อีกคนหนึ่งพูดภาษาต่างๆ และให้อีกคนหนึ่งแปลภาษานั้นๆได้11 สิ่งสารพัดเหล่านี้ พระวิญญาณองค์เดียวกันทรงบันดาลและประทานแก่แต่ละคนตามชอบพระทัยพระองค์12 ถึงกายนั้นเป็นกายเดียว ก็ยังมีอวัยวะหลายส่วน และบรรดาอวัยวะต่างๆของกายเดียวนั้นแม้จะมีหลายส่วนก็ยังเป็นกายเดียวกันฉันใด พระคริสต์ก็ทรงเป็นฉันนั้น13 เพราะว่าถึงเราจะเป็นพวกยิวหรือพวกต่างชาติ เป็นทาสหรือมิใช่ทาสก็ตาม เราทั้งหลายได้รับบัพติศมาโดยพระวิญญาณองค์เดียวเข้าเป็นกายอันเดียวกัน และเราทั้งหลายได้เต็มล้นอยู่ด้วยพระวิญญาณองค์เดียวนั้น14 เพราะว่าร่างกายมิได้ประกอบด้วยอวัยวะเดียวแต่ด้วยหลายอวัยวะ15 ถ้าเท้าจะพูดว่า "เพราะข้าพเจ้ามิได้เป็นมือ ข้าพเจ้าจึงไม่ได้เป็นอวัยวะของร่างกายนั้น" เท้าจะไม่เป็นอวัยวะของร่างกายเพราะเหตุนั้นหรือ16 และถ้าหูจะพูดว่า "เพราะข้าพเจ้ามิได้เป็นตา ข้าพเจ้าจึงมิได้เป็นอวัยวะของร่างกายนั้น" หูจะไม่เป็นอวัยวะของร่างกายเพราะเหตุนั้นหรือ17 ถ้าอวัยวะทั้งหมดในร่างกายเป็นตา การได้ยินจะอยู่ที่ไหน ถ้าทั้งร่างกายเป็นหู การดมกลิ่นจะอยู่ที่ไหน18 แต่บัดนี้พระเจ้าได้ทรงตั้งอวัยวะทุกส่วนไว้ในร่างกายตามชอบพระทัยของพระองค์19 ถ้าอวัยวะทั้งหมดเป็นอวัยวะเดียว ร่างกายจะมีที่ไหน20 แต่บัดนี้มีหลายอวัยวะแต่ก็ยังเป็นร่างกายเดียวกัน21 และตาจะว่าแก่มือว่า "ข้าพเจ้าไม่ต้องการเจ้า" ก็ไม่ได้ หรือศีรษะจะว่าแก่เท้าว่า "ข้าพเจ้าไม่ต้องการเจ้า" ก็ไม่ได้22 แต่ยิ่งกว่านี้อวัยวะของร่างกายที่เราเห็นว่าอ่อนแอ เราก็ขาดเสียไม่ได้23 และอวัยวะของร่างกายที่เราถือว่ามีเกียรติน้อย เราก็ยังทำให้มีเกียรติยิ่งขึ้น และอวัยวะที่ไม่น่าดูนั้น เราก็ทำให้น่าดูยิ่งขึ้น24 เพราะว่าอวัยวะที่น่าดูแล้ว ก็ไม่จำเป็นที่จะต้องตกแต่งอีก แต่พระเจ้าได้ทรงให้อวัยวะของร่างกายเสมอภาคกัน ทรงให้อวัยวะที่ต่ำต้อยเป็นที่นับถือมากขึ้น25 เพื่อไม่ให้มีการแก่งแย่งกันในร่างกาย แต่ให้อวัยวะทุกส่วนมีความห่วงใยซึ่งกันและกัน26 ถ้าอวัยวะอันหนึ่งเจ็บ อวัยวะทั้งหมดก็พลอยเจ็บด้วย ถ้าอวัยวะอันหนึ่งได้รับเกียรติ อวัยวะทั้งหมดก็พลอยชื่นชมยินดีด้วย27 บัดนี้ฝ่ายท่านทั้งหลายเป็นกายของพระคริสต์ และต่างก็เป็นอวัยวะของพระกายนั้น28 และพระเจ้าได้ทรงโปรดตั้งบางคนไว้ในคริสตจักร คือหนึ่งอัครสาวก สองผู้พยากรณ์ สามครูบาอาจารย์ แล้วต่อจากนั้นก็มีการอัศจรรย์ ของประทานในการรักษาโรค การช่วยเหลือ การครอบครอง การพูดภาษาต่างๆ29 ทุกคนเป็นอัครสาวกหรือ ทุกคนเป็นผู้พยากรณ์หรือ ทุกคนเป็นครูบาอาจารย์หรือ ทุกคนกระทำการอัศจรรย์หรือ30 ทุกคนได้รับของประทานให้รักษาโรคหรือ ทุกคนพูดภาษาต่างๆหรือ ทุกคนแปลได้หรือ31 แต่ท่านทั้งหลายจงกระตือรือร้นอย่างจริงจังบรรดาของประทานอันดีที่สุดนั้น และข้าพเจ้ายังคงแสดงทางที่ยอดเยี่ยมกว่าแก่ท่านทั้งหลาย

Spiritual Gifts

1 My friends, you asked me about spiritual gifts. 2 I want you to remember that before you became followers of the Lord, you were led in all the wrong ways by idols that cannot even talk.

3 Now I want you to know that if you are led by God's Spirit, you will say that Jesus is Lord, and you will never curse Jesus.
4  t There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but they all come from the same Spirit. 5 There are different ways to serve the same Lord,

6 and we can each do different things. Yet the same God works in all of us and helps us in everything we do.
7 The Spirit has given each of us a special way of serving others. 8 Some of us can speak with wisdom, while others can speak with knowledge, but these gifts come from the same Spirit. 9 To others the Spirit has given great faith or the power to heal the sick 10 or the power to work mighty miracles. Some of us are prophets, and some of us recognize when God's Spirit is present.t Others can speak different kinds of languages, and still others can tell what these languages mean.

11 But it is the Spirit who does all this and decides which gifts to give to each of us.

One Body with Many Parts

13 Some of us are Jews, and others are Gentiles. Some of us are slaves, and others are free. But God's Spirit baptized each of us and made us part of the body of Christ. Now we each drink from that same Spirit.t
14 Our bodies don't have just one part. They have many parts. 15 Suppose a foot says, “I'm not a hand, and so I'm not part of the body.” Wouldn't the foot still belong to the body? 16 Or suppose an ear says, “I'm not an eye, and so I'm not part of the body.” Wouldn't the ear still belong to the body? 17 If our bodies were only an eye, we couldn't hear a thing. And if they were only an ear, we couldn't smell a thing.

18 But God has put all parts of our body together in the way that he decided is best.
19 A body isn't really a body, unless there is more than one part. 20 It takes many parts to make a single body. 21 That's why the eyes cannot say they don't need the hands. That's also why the head cannot say it doesn't need the feet. 22 In fact, we cannot get along without the parts of the body that seem to be the weakest. 23 We take special care to dress up some parts of our bodies. We are modest about our personal parts,

24 but we don't have to be modest about other parts.
God put our bodies together in such a way that even the parts that seem the least important are valuable. 25 He did this to make all parts of the body work together smoothly, with each part caring about the others.

26 If one part of our body hurts, we hurt all over. If one part of our body is honored, the whole body will be happy.
27 Together you are the body of Christ. Each one of you is part of his body. 28 t First, God chose some people to be apostles and prophets and teachers for the church. But he also chose some to work miracles or heal the sick or help others or be leaders or speak different kinds of languages. 29 Not everyone is an apostle. Not everyone is a prophet. Not everyone is a teacher. Not everyone can work miracles. 30 Not everyone can heal the sick. Not everyone can speak different kinds of languages. Not everyone can tell what these languages mean. 31 I want you to desire the best gifts.t So I will show you a much better way.
