VI. LOS DONES ESPIRITUALES (12.1–14.40)
1 Hermanos, no quiero que estéis en ignorancia respecto de los dones espirituales.
2 Sabéis que cuando todavía no erais creyentes os dejabais arrastrar ciegamente tras los ídolos mudos.t
3 Por eso quiero ahora que sepáis que nadie puede decir: “¡Maldito sea Jesús!”,t si está hablando por el poder del Espíritu de Dios. Como tampoco puede decir nadie: “¡Jesús es Señor!”, si no está hablando por el poder del Espíritu Santo.tUnidad y diversidad de los dones
4 Los dones que recibimos son diversos,t pero el que los concede es un mismo Espíritu. 5 Hay diversas maneras de servir, pero todas lo son por encargo de un mismo Señor.t 6 Y hay diversos poderes para actuar, pero es un mismo Dios el que lo realiza todo en todos. 7 Dios da a cada uno alguna prueba de la presencia del Espíritu, para provecho de todos.t 8 Por medio del Espíritu, a unos les concede que hablen con sabiduría, y a otros, por el mismo Espíritu, les concede que hablen con profundidad de conocimiento. 9 Unos reciben fet por medio del mismo Espíritu y otros reciben el don de sanar enfermos. 10 Unos reciben poder para hacer milagros y otros tienen el don de profecía.t A unos, Dios les da la capacidad de distinguir entre los espíritus falsos y el Espíritu verdadero, y a otros les da la capacidad de hablar en lenguas;t y todavía a otros les da la de interpretar lo que en esas lenguas se haya dicho.t
11 Pero todas estas cosas las hace el mismo y único Espíritu, dando a cada cual lo que a él mejor le parece.tTodos pertenecemos a un solo cuerpo
12 El cuerpo humano, aunque está formado por muchas partes, es un solo cuerpo. Así también Cristo.t
13 De la misma manera, todos nosotros, judíos o no judíos, esclavos o libres, fuimos bautizados para formar un solo cuerpo por medio de un solo Espíritu; y a todos se nos dio a beber de ese mismo Espíritu.t
14 Un cuerpo no se compone de una sola parte, sino de muchas. 15 Si el pie dijera: “Como no soy mano, no soy del cuerpo”, no por eso dejaría de ser del cuerpo. 16 Y si dijese la oreja: “Como no soy ojo, no soy del cuerpo”, no por eso dejaría de ser del cuerpo. 17 Si todo el cuerpo fuera ojo no podríamos oir, y si todo el cuerpo fuera oído no podríamos oler. 18 Pero Dios ha puesto cada parte del cuerpo en el sitio que mejor le pareció. 19 Si todo fuera una sola parte, no habría cuerpo;
20 pero lo cierto es que las partes son muchas, aunque el cuerpo solo es uno.
21 El ojo no puede decirle a la mano: “No te necesito”, ni la cabeza puede decir a los pies: “No os necesito.” 22 Al contrario, las partes del cuerpo que parecen más débiles son las que más se necesitan, 23 y las partes del cuerpo que menos estimamos son las que vestimos con más cuidado. Y las que consideramos menos presentables son las que tratamos con mayor recato, 24 del cual no tienen necesidad las más presentables. Y es que Dios dispuso el cuerpo de tal manera que las partes menos estimadas reciban mayor honor, 25 para que no haya desunión en el cuerpo, sino que cada parte del cuerpo se preocupe de las otras.
26 Si una parte del cuerpo sufre, todas las demás sufren también; y si una parte recibe atención especial, todas las demás comparten su alegría.
27 Pues bien, vosotros sois el cuerpo de Cristo, y cada uno de vosotros es una parte de él, con su propia función. 28 Dios ha querido que en la iglesia haya, en primer lugar, apóstoles; en segundo lugar, profetas; en tercer lugar, maestros;t luego personas que hacen milagros y personas con poder para sanar enfermos, o que ayudan, o dirigen, o hablan en lenguas.t 29 No todos son apóstoles ni todos son profetas. No todos son maestros ni todos hacen milagros 30 ni todos tienen poder para sanar enfermos. Tampoco hablan todos en lenguas ni todos saben interpretarlas.
31 Vosotros debéis ambicionar los mejores dones.Supremacía del amor

Spiritual Gifts
1 With regard to spiritual gifts,t brothers and sisters,t I do not want you to be uninformed.t2 You know that when you were pagans you were often led astray by speechless idols, however you were led.
3 So I want you to understand that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus is cursed,” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.
4 Now there are different gifts, but the same Spirit.5 And there are different ministries, but the same Lord.6 And there are different results, but the same God who produces all of them in everyone.7 To each person the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the benefit of all.8 For one person is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, and another the message of knowledge according to the same Spirit,9 to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit,10 to another performance of miracles, to another prophecy, and to another discernment of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, and to another the interpretation of tongues.
11 It is one and the same Spirit, distributing as he decides to each person, who produces all these things.
Different Members in One Body
12 For just as the body is one and yet has many members, and all the members of the body – though many – are one body, so too is Christ.13 For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body. Whether Jews or Greeks or slavest or free, we were all made to drink of the one Spirit.14 For in fact the body is not a single member, but many.15 If the foot says, “Since I am not a hand, I am not part of the body,” it does not lose its membership in the body because of that.16 And if the ear says, “Since I am not an eye, I am not part of the body,” it does not lose its membership in the body because of that.17 If the whole body were an eye, what part would do the hearing? If the whole were an ear, what part would exercise the sense of smell?18 But as a matter of fact, God has placed each of the members in the body just as he decided.19 If they were all the same member, where would the body be?20 So now there are many members, but one body.21 The eye cannot say to the hand, “I do not need you,” nor in turn can the head say to the foot, “I do not need you.”22 On the contrary, those members that seem to be weaker are essential,23 and those members we consider less honorable we clothe with greater honor, and our unpresentable members are clothed with dignity,t24 but our presentable members do not need this. Instead, God has blended together the body, giving greater honor to the lesser member,25 so that there may be no division in the body, but the members may have mutual concern for one another.
26 If one member suffers, everyone suffers with it. If as member is honored, all rejoice with it.
27 Now you are Christ’s body, and each of you is a member of it.28 And God has placed in the church first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, gifts of healing, helps, gifts of leadership, different kinds of tongues.29 Not all are apostles, are they? Not all are prophets, are they? Not all are teachers, are they? Not all perform miracles, do they?30 Not all have gifts of healing, do they? Not all speak in tongues, do they? Not all interpret, do they?s
31 But you should be eager for the greater gifts.
And now I will show you a way that is beyond comparison.t
