1 CORINTIOS 15

¡Cristo ha resucitado!

1 Queridos hermanos, quiero recordarles la buena noticia que les di. Ustedes la recibieron con gusto y confiaron en ella.

2 Si continúan confiando firmemente en esa buena noticia, serán salvos. Pero si no, de nada les servirá haberla aceptado.
3 Lo primero que les enseñé fue lo mismo que yo aprendí: que Cristo murió en lugar de nosotros, que éramos pecadores. Tal como lo enseña la Biblia,4 fue sepultado y, después de tres días, Dios lo resucitó.5 Primero se le apareció a Pedro, y después a los doce apóstoles.6 Luego se les apareció a más de quinientos de sus seguidores a la vez. Algunos de ellos todavía viven, y otros ya murieron.7 Más tarde se apareció a Santiago, y luego a todos los apóstoles.

8 Por último, se me apareció a mí; a pesar de que lo conocí mucho tiempo después que los otros apóstoles.
Por eso me considero9 el menos importante de los apóstoles, y ni siquiera merezco que la gente me llame así, pues le hice mucho daño a la iglesia de Dios.10 Sin embargo, Dios fue bueno conmigo, y por eso soy apóstol. No desprecié el poder especial que me dio, y trabajé más que los otros apóstoles; aunque en realidad todo lo hice gracias a ese poder especial de Dios.

11 Pero ni yo ni los otros apóstoles importamos. Lo que sí importa es que todos nosotros hemos anunciado esa buena noticia, y que ustedes han creído en ella.

Nosotros también resucitaremos

12 La buena noticia que anunciamos es que Dios resucitó a Cristo. Pero entonces, ¿cómo es que algunos de ustedes dicen que los muertos no resucitan?13 Porque, si los muertos no resucitan, entonces Cristo tampoco resucitó.14 Y si Cristo no resucitó, esta buena noticia que anunciamos no sirve para nada, y de nada sirve tampoco que ustedes crean en Cristo.

15 Si fuera cierto que los muertos no resucitan, nosotros estaríamos diciendo una mentira acerca de Dios, pues afirmamos que él resucitó a Cristo.
16 Si en realidad los muertos no resucitan, entonces tampoco Cristo resucitó.17 Y si Cristo no resucitó, de nada sirve que ustedes crean en él, pues sus pecados aún no habrán sido perdonados.18 Y los que antes creyeron en Cristo y murieron, están totalmente perdidos.

19 Si nuestra esperanza es que Cristo nos ayude solamente en esta vida, no hay nadie más digno de lástima que nosotros.
20 Sin embargo, ¡Cristo resucitó! Esto nos enseña que también resucitarán los que murieron.21-22 Por el pecado de Adán todos fuimos castigados con la muerte; pero, gracias a Cristo, ahora podemos volver a vivir.23 Cada uno resucitará a su debido tiempo: primero Cristo; después, cuando él vuelva, resucitarán los que creyeron en él.

24 Luego vendrá el fin del mundo, cuando Cristo derrotará a todas las autoridades y a todos los poderes, y le entregará el reinado a Dios el Padre.
25 Cristo reinará hasta que haya vencido a todos sus enemigos.26 El último enemigo que Cristo vencerá es la muerte.27 Cuando la Biblia dice: «Dios puso todo bajo su dominio», la palabra «todo» no incluye a Dios, porque es Dios quien puso todo bajo la autoridad de Cristo.

28 Y cuando todo esté bajo el dominio del Hijo, él mismo se pondrá bajo la autoridad de Dios. Así, Dios estará sobre todas las cosas, pues él es quien puso todo bajo el dominio de Cristo.
29 Algunos se bautizan en lugar de alguien que ya ha muerto, y piensan que así lo salvarán. Pero, si en verdad los muertos no vuelven a vivir, ¿para qué bautizarse?30 ¿Y para qué poner en peligro nuestra vida en todo momento?31 Ustedes bien saben que todos los días estoy en peligro de muerte. Esto es tan cierto como la satisfacción que tengo de que ustedes creen en Cristo.

32 En Éfeso luché con hombres que parecían fieras salvajes. Pero, si es verdad que los muertos no vuelven a vivir, entonces ¿qué gané con eso? Mejor hagamos lo que algunos dicen: «Comamos y bebamos, que mañana moriremos.»
33 ¡No se dejen engañar! Bien dice el dicho, que «Las malas amistades echan a perder las buenas costumbres.»

34 Piensen bien lo que hacen, y no sigan desobedeciendo a Dios. Algunos de ustedes deberían sentir vergüenza de no conocerlo.

Cómo resucitarán los muertos

35 Tal vez alguien me pregunte: ¿Y cómo volverán los muertos a la vida? ¿Qué clase de cuerpo tendrán?36 ¡Qué preguntas más tontas! Para que una planta crezca, primero tiene que morir la semilla que fue sembrada.37 Lo que se siembra es una simple semilla de trigo, o de alguna otra cosa, muy distinta de la planta que va a nacer.38 A cada semilla Dios le da el cuerpo que él quiere darle.39 No todos los cuerpos son iguales. Los seres humanos tenemos una clase de cuerpo, y los animales tienen otra clase. Lo mismo pasa con los pájaros y los peces.40 Hay también cuerpos que viven en el cielo, y cuerpos que viven en la tierra. La belleza de los cuerpos del cielo no es como la de los cuerpos de la tierra.

41 El brillo del sol no es como el de la luna y las estrellas, y aun cada una de las estrellas tiene un brillo distinto.
42 Así pasará cuando los muertos vuelvan a la vida.43 Cuando alguien muere, se entierra su cuerpo, y ese cuerpo se vuelve feo y débil. Pero cuando esa persona vuelva a la vida, su cuerpo será hermoso y fuerte, y no volverá a morir.

44 Se entierra el cuerpo físico, pero resucita un cuerpo espiritual. Así como hay cuerpos físicos, hay también cuerpos espirituales.
45 La Biblia dice que Dios hizo a Adán, y que Adán fue el primer hombre con vida. Pero Cristo, a quien podemos llamar el último Adán, es un espíritu que da vida.46 Así que primero llegó a existir lo físico, y luego lo espiritual.47 El primer hombre fue hecho del polvo de la tierra. El segundo hombre vino del cielo.48 Todos los que vivimos en esta tierra tenemos un cuerpo como el de Adán, que fue hecho de tierra. Todos los que viven en el cielo tienen un cuerpo como el de Cristo.

49 Y así como nos parecemos al primer hombre, que fue sacado de la tierra, así también nos pareceremos a Cristo, que es del cielo.
50 Hermanos míos, lo que es de sangre y carne no tiene cabida en el reino de Dios, que es eterno.51 Les voy a contar algo que Dios tenía en secreto: No todos moriremos, pero todos seremos transformados.52 En un abrir y cerrar de ojos, cuando Cristo vuelva, se oirá el último toque de la trompeta, y los muertos volverán a vivir para no morir jamás. Y nosotros seremos transformados.53 Dios cambiará estos cuerpos nuestros, que mueren y se destruyen, por cuerpos que vivirán para siempre y que nunca serán destruidos.

54 Cuando esto suceda, se cumplirá lo que dice la Biblia:

«¡La muerte ha sido destruida!
55 ¿Dónde está ahora su victoria?
¿Dónde está su poder para herirnos?»
56 El pecado produce la muerte, y existe porque hay una ley.

57 ¡Pero gracias a Dios, podemos vencerlo por medio de nuestro Señor Jesucristo!

58 Por eso, mis queridos hermanos, manténganse firmes, y nunca dejen de trabajar más y más por el Señor Jesús. Y sepan que nada de lo que hacen para Dios es inútil.

1 Now I make known unto you brethren, the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye received, wherein also ye stand,2 by which also ye are saved, if ye hold fast the word which I preached unto you, except ye believed in vain.3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which also I received: that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;4 and that he was buried; and that he hath been raised on the third day according to the scriptures;5 and that he appeared to Cephas; then to the twelve;6 then he appeared to above five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain until now, but some are fallen asleep;7 then he appeared to James; then to all the apostles;8 and last of all, as to the child untimely born, he appeared to me also.9 For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not found vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.11 Whether then it be I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed.12 Now if Christ is preached that he hath been raised from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?13 But if there is no resurrection of the dead, neither hath Christ been raised:14 and if Christ hath not been raised, then is our preaching vain, your faith also is vain.15 Yea, we are found false witnesses of God; because we witnessed of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead are not raised.16 For if the dead are not raised, neither hath Christ been raised:17 and if Christ hath not been raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.18 Then they also that are fallen asleep in Christ have perished.19 If we have only hoped in Christ in this life, we are of all men most pitiable.20 But now hath Christ been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of them that are asleep.21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.22 For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.23 But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; then they that are Christ’s, at his coming.24 Then cometh the end, when he shall deliver up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have abolished all rule and all authority and power.25 For he must reign, till he hath put all his enemies under his feet.26 The last enemy that shall be abolished is death.27 For, He put all things in subjection under his feet. But when he saith, All things are put in subjection, it is evident that he is excepted who did subject all things unto him.28 And when all things have been subjected unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subjected to him that did subject all things unto him, that God may be all in all.29 Else what shall they do that are baptized for the dead? If the dead are not raised at all, why then are they baptized for them?30 Why do we also stand in jeopardy every hour?31 I protest by that glorifying in you, brethren, which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.32 If after the manner of men I fought with beasts at Ephesus, what doth it profit me? If the dead are not raised, let us eat and drink, for to-morrow we die.33 Be not deceived: Evil companionships corrupt good morals.34 Awake to soberness righteously, and sin not; for some have no knowledge of God: I speak this to move you to shame.35 But some one will say, How are the dead raised? and with what manner of body do they come?36 Thou foolish one, that which thou thyself sowest is not quickened except it die:37 and that which thou sowest, thou sowest not the body that shall be, but a bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other kind;38 but God giveth it a body even as it pleased him, and to each seed a body of its own.39 All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one flesh of men, and another flesh of beasts, and another flesh of birds, and another of fishes.40 There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for one star differeth from another star in glory.42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:43 it is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:44 it is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.45 So also it is written, The first man Adam became a living soul. The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.46 Howbeit that is not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; then that which is spiritual.47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is of heaven.48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We all shall not sleep, but we shall all be changed,52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.54 But when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.55 O death, where is thy victory? O death, where is thy sting?56 The sting of death is sin; and the power of sin is the law:57 but thanks be to God, who giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.58 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not vain in the Lord.
