1 Corintios 15

Las buenas noticias sobre Cristo

1 Hermanos, ahora quiero que recuerden la buena noticiat de salvación que les anuncié. Han aceptado ese mensaje y están firmes en él.

2 Es el mensaje que los salva si siguen creyendo en lo que les anuncié. Si no, habrán creído en vano.
3 Les he comunicado el mensaje que recibí, del cual les he dicho lo más importante: que Cristo murió por nuestros pecados, tal como dicen las Escriturast.4 Que fue enterrado y al tercer día resucitó, como dicen las Escrituras.5 Y que se apareció a Pedrot, y luego a los doce.6 Después se apareció a más de quinientos hermanos al mismo tiempo. Muchos de ellos todavía están vivos, otros ya han muerto.7 Luego, Cristo se apareció a Santiago y de nuevo a los apóstoles.8 Por último, se me apareció a mí. Conmigo fue diferente, como a un bebé nacido a destiempo.9 Porque soy el menos importante de los apóstoles, y ni siquiera merezco ser llamado apóstol porque perseguí a la iglesiat de Dios.10 Pero lo soy porque Dios fue bondadoso conmigo, y esa bondad no ha sido desperdiciada. He trabajado más duro que el resto de los apóstoles. Aunque en realidad no he sido yo el que ha trabajado, sino la bondad de Dios que está conmigo.

11 Entonces, no importa si el que anuncia soy yo o los otros apóstoles. Todos anunciamos ese mismo mensaje que ustedes han creído.

Seremos resucitados

12 Ya que todos nosotros les anunciamos que Cristo fue resucitado de la muerte, ¿cómo es posible, entonces, que algunos de ustedes digan que no hay resurrección?13 Si no hay resurrección, entonces Cristo tampoco ha sido resucitado.14 Si Cristo no ha sido resucitado, entonces nuestro mensaje no tiene caso ni su fe tampoco.15 Si los muertos no resucitan, entonces somos culpables de mentir acerca de Dios, porque les dijimos a todos que él resucitó a Cristo, sin ser cierto.16 Si los muertos no resucitan, entonces Cristo tampoco ha resucitado.17 Si Cristo no ha resucitado, su fe no vale nada y todavía son culpables de su pecado.18 Los que murieron creyendo en Cristo también están perdidos.

19 Si nuestra esperanza en Cristo es sólo para esta vida, entonces somos los seres humanos más dignos de lástima.
20 Pero en realidad Cristo ha resucitado y fue el primero de todos los que serán resucitados de la muerte.21 Así como la muerte llegó a la humanidad por medio de un hombre, también por medio de un hombre llega la resurrección.22 Así como Adán trajo la muerte a todos, Cristo nos traerá vida a todos nosotros.23 Pero todos deben ser resucitados en cierto orden. Primero fue Cristo y luego, cuando Cristo regrese, serán resucitados también los que pertenecen a él.24 Después vendrá el fin, cuando Cristo acabará con todos los gobernantes, las autoridades y los poderes y entregará el reino a Dios Padre.25 Pues Cristo debe reinar hasta que todos los enemigos estén bajo su poder.t26 El último enemigo en ser destruido será la muerte,27 porque dice la Escriturat: «Dios puso todo bajo su poder».t Cuando dice que todo está bajo el poder de Cristo, es claro que esto no incluye a Dios, porque Dios fue quien puso todo bajo su poder.

28 Cuando todo esté dominado por él, entonces el Hijo mismo se pondrá bajo el poder de Dios, quien puso todo bajo el poder de Cristo, para que Dios tenga el control absoluto de todo.
29 De otra manera, ¿qué harían los que se bautizant por los muertos? Si los muertos no serán resucitados, ¿para qué se bautizan por ellos?30 ¿Y por qué nos arriesgamos a todas horas?31 Hermanos, yo muero todos los días. Esto es tan cierto como el orgullo que siento porque ustedes son creyentes en nuestro Señor Jesucristo.

32 Cuando luché contra las fieras en Éfeso, ¿qué hubiera ganado yo si lo hubiera hecho sólo por razones humanas? Si los muertos no resucitan, entonces «comamos y bebamos, que mañana moriremos».t
33 Pero no se dejen engañar: «Las malas compañías dañan las buenas costumbres».

34 ¡Reaccionen! Entren en razón y salgan del pecado, pues yo sé que algunos de ustedes no conocen a Dios y digo esto para que les dé vergüenza.

El cuerpo y la resurrección

35 Tal vez alguien preguntará: ¿Cómo van a ser resucitados los muertos? ¿Qué clase de cuerpo van a tener?36 ¡Qué pregunta tan tonta! La semilla no germina a menos que muera, ¿verdad?37 Y lo que siembras es una simple semilla que todavía no tiene la forma que ha de tener después, es decir que no tiene el mismo cuerpo, así se trate de trigo u otro grano.38 Dios le da a cada semilla la forma que él decide. Cada semilla recibe el cuerpo que le corresponde.39 No todos los cuerpos son iguales. Los hombres tienen un cuerpo y los animales tienen otro. Las aves tienen un cuerpo y los peces otro.40 Hay también cuerpos celestes y cuerpos terrestres. Pero los cuerpos celestes tienen un tipo de belleza, mientras que los cuerpos terrestres tienen otro.

41 El sol tiene un tipo de belleza, y la luna otro. Las estrellas tienen otro tipo de belleza, y cada una tiene una belleza diferente.
42 Así será la resurrección de los muertos. El cuerpo que se pone en la tierra se pudre. Pero el cuerpo que es resucitado nunca se pudre.43 El cuerpo que se entierra no tiene honor, pero el que resucita es glorioso. El cuerpo que se entierra es débil, pero el que resucita es fuerte.44 Lo que se entierra es el cuerpo físico, pero lo que resucita es el cuerpo espiritual. Pues así como hay cuerpos físicos, también hay cuerpos espirituales.45 Así está escrito: «El primer hombre, Adán, se convirtió en ser vivo».t El último Adánt se convirtió en Espíritu que da vida.46 Entonces, el hombre espiritual no apareció primero, sino el hombre físico, y luego el espiritual.47 El primer hombre viene del polvo de la tierra. En cambio, el segundo hombre viene del cielo.48 Los que pertenecen a la tierra son como el hombre que viene del polvo de la tierra, pero los que pertenecen al cielo son como el que viene del cielo.

49 Ahora somos como el hombre que viene del polvo de la tierra, pero luego seremos como el hombre que viene del cielo.
50 Les digo esto, hermanos: nuestro cuerpo de carne y hueso no puede tener parte en el reino de Diost. Pues lo que se pudre no puede ser parte de lo que nunca se pudre.51 Pero escuchen este secreto: No todos moriremos, pero todos seremos transformados.52 En un abrir y cerrar de ojos seremos transformados. Esto sucederá al toque final de la trompeta, pues la trompeta va a sonar, y los muertos serán resucitados con un cuerpo que nunca se pudre y todos seremos transformados.53 Nuestro cuerpo que se va a podrir, se vestirá con lo que nunca se pudre; y este cuerpo que va a morir, se vestirá con lo que nunca muere.54 Cuando lo que se pudre se vista con lo que nunca se pudre, y cuando lo que muere se vista con lo que nunca muere, entonces lo que dice la Escriturat se hará realidad:«La muerte ha sido devorada por la victoria.t

55 Muerte, ¿dónde está tu victoria?
Muerte, ¿dónde está tu aguijón?»t
56 El aguijón de la muerte es el pecado. El poder del pecado es la ley.

57 Pero demos gracias a Dios que nos ha dado la victoria a través de nuestro Señor Jesucristo.

58 Por lo tanto, hermanos, permanezcan firmes y no dejen que nada los haga cambiar. Dedíquense totalmente a trabajar para el Señor, bien saben que su trabajo no es en vano.

1 Corinthians 15

The Fact of Christ's Resurrection

1 Now I make known to you, brethren, the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received, in which also you stand,2 by which also you are saved, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain.

3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,4 and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,5 and that He appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.6 After that He appeared to more than five hundred brethren at one time, most of whom remain until now, but some have fallen asleep;7 then He appeared to James, then to all the apostles;8 and last of all, as to one untimely born, He appeared to me also.9 For I am the least of the apostles, and not fit to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me did not prove vain; but I labored even more than all of them, yet not I, but the grace of God with me.11 Whether then it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed.

12 Now if Christ is preached, that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?13 But if there is no resurrection of the dead, not even Christ has been raised;14 and if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is vain, your faith also is vain.15 Moreover we are even found to be false witnesses of God, because we testified against God that He raised tChrist, whom He did not raise, if in fact the dead are not raised.16 For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised;17 and if Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins.18 Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished.19 If we have hoped in Christ in this life only, we are of all men most to be pitied.

The Order of Resurrection

20 But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who are asleep.21 For since by a man came death, by a man also came the resurrection of the dead.22 For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.23 But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, after that those who are Christ's at His coming,24 then comes the end, when He hands over the kingdom to the God and Father, when He has abolished all rule and all authority and power.25 For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet.26 The last enemy that will be abolished is death.27 For HE HAS PUT ALL THINGS IN SUBJECTION UNDER HIS FEET. But when He says, "All things are put in subjection," it is evident that He is excepted who put all things in subjection to Him.28 When all things are subjected to Him, then the Son Himself also will be subjected to the One who subjected all things to Him, so that God may be all in all.

29 Otherwise, what will those do who are baptized for the dead? If the dead are not raised at all, why then are they baptized for them?30 Why are we also in danger every hour?31 I affirm, brethren, by the boasting in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.32 If from human motives I fought with wild beasts at Ephesus, what does it profit me? If the dead are not raised, LET US EAT AND DRINK, FOR TOMORROW WE DIE.33 Do not be deceived: "Bad company corrupts good morals."34 Become sober-minded as you ought, and stop sinning; for some have no knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame.

35 But someone will say, "How are the dead raised? And with what kind of body do they come?"36 You fool! That which you sow does not come to life unless it dies;37 and that which you sow, you do not sow the body which is to be, but a bare grain, perhaps of wheat or of something else.38 But God gives it a body just as He wished, and to each of the seeds a body of its own.39 All flesh is not the same flesh, but there is one flesh of men, and another flesh of beasts, and another flesh of birds, and another of fish.40 There are also heavenly bodies and earthly bodies, but the glory of the heavenly is one, and the glory of the earthly is another.41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for star differs from star in glory.

42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown a perishable body, it is raised an imperishable body; 43 it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power;44 it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. 45 So also it is written, "The first MAN, Adam, BECAME A LIVING SOUL." The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.46 However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural; then the spiritual.47 The first man is from the earth, earthy; the second man is from heaven.48 As is the earthy, so also are those who are earthy; and as is the heavenly, so also are those who are heavenly.49 Just as we have borne the image of the earthy, twe will also bear the image of the heavenly.

The Mystery of Resurrection

50 Now I say this, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.51 Behold, I tell you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed,52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.53 For this perishable must put on the imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality.54 But when this perishable will have put on the imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then will come about the saying that is written, "DEATH IS SWALLOWED UP in victory.55 O DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR VICTORY? O DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR STING?"56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law;57 but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord.
