El mensaje acerca de Cristo crucificado
1 Yo, hermanos, cuando fui a hablaros del designio secreto de Dios no lo hice con palabras cultas y elevadas. 2 Entre vosotros no quise saber de otra cosa que de Jesucristo y, más exactamente, de Jesucristo crucificado.t 3 Me presenté ante vosotros débil y temblando de miedo,t 4 y cuando os hablé y os prediqué el mensaje no utilicé palabras cultast para convenceros. Al contrario, os convencí por medio del Espíritu y del poder de Dios,t
5 para que vuestra fe dependiera del poder de Dios y no de la sabiduría de los hombres.La revelación de Dios por medio del Espíritu
6 Sin embargo, entre los que ya han alcanzado la madurez en la fe utilizamos el lenguaje de la sabiduría. Pero no de la sabiduría propia de este mundo y de quienes lo gobiernan,t que pronto van a desaparecer. 7 Se trata más bien de la sabiduría secreta de Dios, del secreto designio que Dios, desde antes de crear el mundo,t ha dispuesto para nuestra gloria. 8 Eso no lo han entendido los gobernantes de este mundo, pues si lo hubieran entendido no habrían crucificado al Señor de la gloria.t
9 Pero, como se dice en la Escritura:
“Dios ha preparado para los que le aman
cosas que nadie ha visto ni oído
y ni siquiera pensado.”t
10 Estas son las cosas que Dios nos ha manifestado por medio del Espíritu, pues el Espíritu lo examina todo, hasta las cosas más profundas de Dios.
11 ¿Quién entre los hombres puede saber lo que hay en el corazón del hombre, sino el espíritu que está en el interior del hombre? De la misma manera, solamente el Espíritu de Dios sabe lo que hay en Dios.t 12 Y nosotros no hemos recibido el espíritu del mundo sino el Espíritu que procede de Dios, para que entendamos las cosas que Dios en su bondad nos ha dado.t
13 Hablamos de estas cosas con palabras que el Espíritu de Dios nos ha enseñado, y no con palabras que hayamos aprendido por nuestra propia sabiduría. Y así explicamos las cosas espirituales con términos espirituales.t
14 El que no es espiritualt no acepta las cosas que son del Espíritu de Dios, porque para él son tonterías. Y tampoco las puede entender, porque son cosas que tienen que juzgarse espiritualmente.t 15 En cambio, aquel que tiene el Espíritu puede juzgar todas las cosas y nadie puede juzgarlo a él.t 16 Pues las Escrituras dicen: “¿Quién conoce la mente del Señor? ¿Quién podrá instruirle?”t Sin embargo, nosotros tenemos la mente de Cristo.
1 Corinthians 2
1 When I camet to you, brothers and sisters,t I did not come with superior eloquence or wisdom as I proclaimed the testimonys of God.2 For I decided to be concerned about nothingt among you except Jesus Christ, and him crucified.3 And I was with you in weakness and in fear and with much trembling.4 My conversation and my preaching were not with persuasive words of wisdom, but with a demonstration of the Spirit and of power,
5 so that your faith would not be based on human wisdom but on the power of God.
Wisdom from God
6 Now we do speak wisdom among the mature,t but not a wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are perishing.7 Instead we speak the wisdom of God, hidden in a mystery, that God determined before the ages for our glory.8 None of the rulers of this age understood it. If they had known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.9 But just as it is written, “Things that no eye has seen, or ear heard, or mind imagined,tare the things God has prepared for those who love him.”s10 God has revealed these to us by the Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.11 For who among men knows the things of a man except the man’s spirit within him? So too, no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.12 Now we have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things that are freely given to us by God.13 And we speak about these things, not with words taught us by human wisdom, but with those taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual things to spiritual people.t14 The unbelievert does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him. And he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.15 The one who is spiritual discernst all things, yet he himself is understoodt by no one.
16 For who has known the mind of the Lord, so as to advise him?s But we have the mind of Christ.
