コリント人への第一の手紙 2

二

1 愛する皆さん。　私が初めて皆さんのところへ行った時、神様からのことばを伝えるのに、程度の高い、難しいことばづかいをしたり、りっぱな理論をふりまわしたりはしませんでした。　2 なぜなら、イエス・キリストと、その十字架上の死以外は語るまい、と決心したからです。　3 私は弱々しく、おずおずと、震えおののきながら、あなたがたのところへ行きました。　4 また私の説教も、雄弁な説得力あることばや、人間的な知恵にはほど遠く、全く単純そのものでした。　しかし、そのことばには神様の力がこもっていて、聞く人々は、それが神様からのことばだとわかったのです。　5 私がそうしたのは、あなたがたの信仰が、人間のすぐれた思想にではなく、神様に根ざしてほしかったからです。
6 とはいえ、成長したクリスチャンの間では、私はすぐれた知恵のことばを語ります。　しかしそれは、この地上の知恵ではなく、また、滅ぶべき運命にある、この世のお偉方の気に入る知恵でもありません。　7 私たちのことばに知恵があるのは、それが神様から出た教えで、天の栄光に導く、神様の知恵に満ちた計画を告げるものだからです。　この特別の計画は、以前は隠されていましたが、世界の始まる前から、私たちのために備えられていたものです。　8 しかし、この世の偉い人々は、このことを理解しませんでした。　もし理解していたら、まさか栄光の主を十字架につけるようなまねは、しなかったでしょう。
9 まさに、旧約聖書の次のことばどおりです。
「普通の人が、これまで見聞きしたことも、
想像したこともないほどすばらしいことを、
神様は、ご自分を愛する人々のために
用意してくださった。」
10 しかし私たちには、このすばらしいことがわかっています。　神様がご自分の御霊を通して知らせてくださったからです。　神の御霊は、神様の最も奥深い秘密を探り出して、それを教えてくださるのです。　11 人が何を考えているか、その人が実際にどんな人間であるか、本人以外にはわかりません。　同様に、神様の考えを知りうるのは、神の御霊以外にありません。　12 事実、神様は私たちに、この世の霊ではなく、ご自分の御霊を与えてくださいました。　それは、神様からの、すばらしい恵みと祝福という贈り物を、私たちが知るためです。
13 この贈り物について話す時、私たちは、自分が人間として選んだことばではなく、聖霊様によって教えられたことばを使ってきました。　つまり、聖霊様のことを説明するには、聖霊様のことばを用いるのです。　14 しかし、クリスチャンでない人は、聖霊様が教えてくださる神様の思いを理解することも、受け入れることもできません。　彼には、ばからしく思えるのです。　というのは、自分のうちに聖霊様をいただいている人だけが、聖霊様のお考えを理解できるからです。　ほかの人にはそれが理解できません。　15 聖霊様をいただいている人は、すべてを見抜きます。　ところが、この世の人は彼を全く理解できないので、まごつき、とまどうのです。　16 どうして、この世の人にそれがわかるでしょう。　なぜなら、彼は、主の思いを知ったこともなく、それを主と論じ合ったこともなく、また、祈りによって神様の御手を動かしたこともないからです。　しかし、驚くべきことに、実際に私たちクリスチャンは、まさにキリスト様の思いと心の一部を共有しているのです。

1 Corinthians 2

1 And I, brethren, when I came unto you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of God.2 For I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.3 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.4 And my speech and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:5 that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.6 We speak wisdom, however, among them that are fullgrown: yet a wisdom not of this world, nor of the rulers of this world, who are coming to nought:7 but we speak God’s wisdom in a mystery, even the wisdom that hath been hidden, which God foreordained before the worlds unto our glory:8 which none of the rulers of this world hath known: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory:9 but as it is written, Things which eye saw not, and ear heard not, And which entered not into the heart of man, Whatsoever things God prepared for them that love him.

10 But unto us God revealed them through the Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.11 For who among men knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of the man, which is in him? even so the things of God none knoweth, save the Spirit of God.12 But we received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is from God; that we might know the things that were freely given to us of God.13 Which things also we speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Spirit teacheth; combining spiritual things with spiritual words.14 Now the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him; and he cannot know them, because they are spiritually judged.15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, and he himself is judged of no man.16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he should instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
