การประกาศว่าพระคริสต์ทรงถูกตรึง
1 พี่น้องทั้งหลาย เมื่อข้าพเจ้ามาหาท่านเพื่อประกาศความล้ำลึกtของพระเจ้าแก่พวกท่านนั้น ข้าพเจ้าไม่ได้มาด้วยถ้อยคำหวานหูหรือด้วยความฉลาดปราดเปรื่องt 2 เพราะข้าพเจ้าตั้งใจว่าจะไม่แสดงความรู้เรื่องใดๆ ในหมู่พวกท่านเลย เว้นแต่เรื่องพระเยซูคริสต์และการที่พระองค์ทรงถูกตรึงที่กางเขน 3 และข้าพเจ้ามาหาท่านทั้งหลายด้วยความอ่อนแอ ด้วยความกลัวและความหวาดหวั่นมากt 4 คำพูดและคำเทศนาของข้าพเจ้าไม่ใช่เป็นการพูดชักชวนด้วยปัญญาแต่เป็นการสำแดงพระวิญญาณและฤทธานุภาพ 5 เพื่อความเชื่อของพวกท่านจะไม่ขึ้นกับปัญญาของมนุษย์ แต่ขึ้นกับฤทธิ์เดชของพระเจ้า
การสำแดงโดยพระวิญญาณของพระเจ้า
6 ถึงกระนั้นเรากล่าวถึงปัญญาในท่ามกลางคนที่เป็นผู้ใหญ่แล้ว แต่ไม่ใช่ปัญญาของยุคนี้ หรือของอำนาจครอบครองยุคนี้ ซึ่งกำลังเสื่อมสูญไป 7 แต่เรากล่าวถึงพระปัญญาของพระเจ้าซึ่งเป็นความล้ำลึก คือพระปัญญาที่ทรงซ่อนไว้นั้น และที่พระเจ้าทรงกำหนดไว้ก่อนปฐมกาล เพื่อการรับศักดิ์ศรีของเรา 8 ไม่มีอำนาจครอบครองใดๆ ในยุคนี้รู้จักพระปัญญานี้ เพราะว่าถ้ารู้จักแล้ว จะไม่เอาองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าแห่งพระสิริตรึงกางเขน 9 ดังที่มีเขียนไว้ว่า
“สิ่งที่ตาไม่เห็น หูไม่ได้ยิน
และสิ่งที่ใจมนุษย์คิดไม่ถึง
คือสิ่งที่พระเจ้าทรงจัดเตรียมไว้สำหรับคนทั้งหลายที่รักพระองค์”t
10 พระเจ้าได้ทรงสำแดงสิ่งเหล่านี้กับเราทางพระวิญญาณ เพราะว่าพระวิญญาณทรงหยั่งรู้ทุกสิ่งแม้เป็นความล้ำลึกของพระเจ้า 11 อันความคิดของมนุษย์นั้น จะมีใครหยั่งรู้ได้ถ้าไม่ใช่จิตวิญญาณของมนุษย์คนนั้นเอง พระดำริของพระเจ้าก็ไม่มีใครหยั่งรู้ได้เว้นแต่พระวิญญาณของพระเจ้าเช่นกัน 12 เราไม่ได้รับวิญญาณของโลก แต่ได้รับพระวิญญาณซึ่งมาจากพระเจ้า เพื่อจะได้รู้ถึงสิ่งต่างๆ ที่พระเจ้าประทานแก่เรา 13 และเรากล่าวถึงเรื่องเหล่านี้ด้วยถ้อยคำซึ่งไม่ใช่ปัญญาของมนุษย์สอนไว้ แต่พระวิญญาณทรงสอนไว้ คือเราได้อธิบายความหมายของเรื่องฝ่ายจิตวิญญาณ ให้คนฝ่ายจิตวิญญาณฟัง 14 แต่คนทั่วไปจะไม่รับสิ่งเหล่านี้ซึ่งเป็นของพระวิญญาณแห่งพระเจ้า เพราะว่าเขาเห็นว่าเป็นเรื่องโง่ และเขาไม่สามารถเข้าใจ เพราะจะเข้าใจสิ่งเหล่านี้ได้ก็ต้องวินิจฉัยโดยพึ่งพระวิญญาณ 15 แต่คนฝ่ายจิตวิญญาณวินิจฉัยสิ่งสารพัดได้ ทว่าไม่มีใครวินิจฉัยเขาได้ 16 เพราะว่า “ใครเล่ารู้พระทัยขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าt? เพื่อจะแนะนำสั่งสอนพระองค์ได้” t แต่เราก็มีพระทัยของพระคริสต์
1 Corinthians 2
1 And I, brethren, when I came unto you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of God.2 For I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.3 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.4 And my speech and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:5 that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.6 We speak wisdom, however, among them that are fullgrown: yet a wisdom not of this world, nor of the rulers of this world, who are coming to nought:7 but we speak God’s wisdom in a mystery, even the wisdom that hath been hidden, which God foreordained before the worlds unto our glory:8 which none of the rulers of this world hath known: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory:9 but as it is written, Things which eye saw not, and ear heard not, And which entered not into the heart of man, Whatsoever things God prepared for them that love him.
10 But unto us God revealed them through the Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.11 For who among men knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of the man, which is in him? even so the things of God none knoweth, save the Spirit of God.12 But we received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is from God; that we might know the things that were freely given to us of God.13 Which things also we speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Spirit teacheth; combining spiritual things with spiritual words.14 Now the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him; and he cannot know them, because they are spiritually judged.15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, and he himself is judged of no man.16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he should instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
