Deficiencias de la iglesia de Corinto
1 Yo, hermanos, no pude hablaros entonces como a gente guiada por el Espíritu, sino como a personas con criterios puramente humanos, como a niños en la fe de Cristo. 2 Os di una enseñanza sencilla, igual que a un niño de pecho se le da leche en vez de alimento sólido,t porque todavía no podíais digerir la comida fuerte. ¡Y ni siquiera podéis digerirla ahora, 3 pues aún mantenéis criterios puramente humanos! Mientras haya entre vosotros envidias y discordiast es que seguís manteniendo criterios puramente humanos y conduciéndoos como lo hace todo el mundo.
4 Porque cuando uno afirma: “Yo soy de Pablo”, y otro: “Yo soy de Apolos”,t estáis manteniendo criterios puramente humanos.3. Qué significa ser apóstol (3.5–4.5)
5 A fin de cuentas, ¿quién es Pablo, o quién es Apolos? Simples servidores, por medio de los cuales habéis creído en el Señor. Cada uno de nosotros hizo el trabajo que el Señor le había encomendado: 6 yo plantét y Apolos regó,t pero es Dios quien hizo crecer a la planta. 7 De manera que ni el que planta ni el que riega son nada, sino que Dios lo es todo, pues Dios es quien hace que la planta crezca. 8 Los que plantan y los que riegan son iguales, aunque Dios pagará a cada cual de acuerdo con su trabajo. 9 Somos compañeros de trabajo al servicio de Dios,t y vosotros sois el campo que Dios trabaja, el edificio que Dios construye.t 10 Yo soy el maestro albañil al que Dios permitió poner los fundamentos, y otrot es el que está construyendo sobre ellos. Pero cada uno debe tener cuidado de cómo construye, 11 pues nadie puede poner otro fundamento que el que ya está puesto: Jesucristo.t 12 Sobre este fundamento se puede construir con oro, plata y piedras preciosas, o con madera, paja y cañas; 13 pero el trabajo de cada cual se mostrará claramente el día del juicio, porque ese día vendrá con fuego, y el fuego probará el valor del trabajo de cada uno.t 14 Si alguien construyó un edificio resistente al fuego, recibirá su pago;
15 pero si lo que construyó llega a arder, lo perderá todo, aunque él mismo logre salvarse como quien escapa del fuego.
16 ¿Acaso no sabéis que sois templo de Dios y que el Espíritu de Dios vive en vosotros?t
17 Si alguien destruye el templo de Dios, Dios le destruirá a él, porque el templo de Dios es santo. Ese templo sois vosotros mismos.t
18 Que nadie os engañe: si alguno de vosotros se cree sabio según la sabiduría de este mundo, vuélvase como un ignorante a fin de llegar a ser verdaderamente sabio; 19 pues la sabiduría de este mundo es para Dios pura tontería. Como dice la Escritura: “Dios atrapa a los sabios en su propia astucia.”t 20 Y dice también: “El Señor sabe que los pensamientos de los sabios son tonterías.”t 21 Por eso, nadie debe gloriarse de ser seguidor de hombre alguno, pues todas las cosas son vuestras: 22 Pablo, Apolos, Cefas, el mundo, la vida, la muerte, el presente y el futuro. Todo es vuestro, 23 y vosotros sois de Cristo, y Cristo es de Dios.t

Immaturity and Self-deception
1 So, brothers and sisters,t I could not speak to you as spiritual people, but instead as people of the flesh,t as infants in Christ.2 I fed you milk,s not solid food, for you were not yet ready. In fact, you are still not ready,3 for you are still influenced by the flesh.t For since there is still jealousy and dissension among you, are you not influenced by the flesh and behaving like unregenerate people?t
4 For whenever someone says, “I am with Paul,” or “I am with Apollos,” are you not merely human?t
5 What is Apollos, really? Or what is Paul? Servants through whom you came to believe, and each of us in the ministry the Lord gave us.t6 I planted,s Apollos watered, but God caused it to grow.7 So neither the one who plants counts for anything,t nor the one who waters, but God who causes the growth.8 The one who plants and the one who waters work as one,t but each will receive his reward according to his work.9 We are coworkers belonging to God.t You are God’s field, God’s building.10 According to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled master-builder I laid a foundation, but someone else builds on it. And each one must be careful how he builds.11 For no one can lay any foundation other than what is being laid, which is Jesus Christ.12 If anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw,s13 each builder’st work will be plainly seen, for the Dayts will make it clear, because it will be revealed by fire. And the firess will test what kind of work each has done.14 If what someone has built survives, he will receive a reward.
15 If someone’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss.t He himself will be saved, but only as through fire.
16 Do you not know that you are God’s temples and that God’s Spirit lives in you?
17 If someone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him. For God’s temple is holy, which is what you are.
18 Guard against self-deception, each of you.t If someone among you thinks he is wise in this age, let him become foolish so that he can become wise.19 For the wisdom of this age is foolishness with God. As it is written, “He catches the wise in their craftiness.”s20 And again, “The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile.”s21 So then, no more boasting about mere mortals!t For everything belongs to you,22 whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present or the future. Everything belongs to you,
23 and you belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God.
