Des chrétiens encore tout petits
1 tQuant à moi, mes frères, ce n’est pas comme à des êtres spirituels que j’ai pu vous parler, mais comme à des êtres charnels, comme à des tout-petits dans le Christ. 2 tJe vous ai donné du lait ; non pas de la nourriture solide, car vous n’auriez pas pu la supporter ; d’ailleurs, maintenant même vous ne le pourriez pas, 3 tparce que vous êtes encore charnels. En effet, pour autant qu’il y a parmi vous des passions jalouses et des disputes, n’êtes-vous pas charnels ? Ne vous comportez-vous pas d’une manière tout humaine ?
4 tQuand l’un dit : « Moi, j’appartiens à Paul ! » et un autre : « Moi, à Apollos ! », êtes-vous autre chose que des humains ?Serviteurs de Dieu
5 tQu’est-ce donc qu’Apollos ? Qu’est-ce que Paul ? Des serviteurs, par l’entremise desquels vous êtes venus à la foi, selon ce que le Seigneur a accordé à chacun. 6 tMoi, j’ai planté, Apollos a arrosé, mais c’est Dieu qui faisait croître. 7 tAinsi, ce n’est pas celui qui plante qui importe, ni celui qui arrose, mais Dieu, qui fait croître. 8 tCelui qui plante et celui qui arrose ne sont qu’un, mais chacun recevra son propre salaire selon son propre travail.
9 tCar nous sommes des collaborateurs de Dieu. Vous êtes le champ de Dieu, la construction de Dieu.
10 tSelon la grâce de Dieu qui m’a été accordée, comme un sage maître d’œuvre, j’ai posé les fondations, et quelqu’un d’autre construit dessus. Mais que chacun prenne garde à la façon dont il construit. 11 tPersonne, en effet, ne peut poser d’autre fondation que celle qui est en place, à savoir Jésus-Christ. 12 tQue l’on construise sur ces fondations avec de l’or, de l’argent, des pierres précieuses, du bois, du foin ou du chaume, 13 tl’œuvre de chacun deviendra manifeste, car le jour la mettra en évidence ; en effet, c’est dans le feu qu’il se révélera, et l’épreuve du feu montrera ce que vaut l’œuvre de chacun. 14 tSi l’œuvre que quelqu’un a construite demeure, il recevra un salaire.
15 tSi l’œuvre de quelqu’un est brûlée, il en subira la perte ; lui, certes, il sera sauvé, mais comme au travers du feu.
16 tNe savez-vous pas que vous êtes le sanctuaire de Dieu, et que l’Esprit de Dieu habite en vous ?
17 tSi quelqu’un détruit le sanctuaire de Dieu, Dieu le détruira ; car le sanctuaire de Dieu est saint – c’est là ce que, vous, vous êtes.Tout vous appartient, mais vous, vous appartenez au Christ
18 tQue personne ne se trompe lui-même : si quelqu’un parmi vous se considère comme sage selon ce monde, qu’il devienne fou pour devenir sage. 19 tEn effet, la sagesse de ce monde est folie devant Dieu. Car il est écrit :Il prend les sages à leur propre ruse. 20 tEt encore :Le Seigneur connaît les raisonnements des sages,il sait qu’ils sont futiles. 21 tQue personne ne mette donc sa fierté dans des hommes ; car tout vous appartient, 22 tsoit Paul, soit Apollos, soit Céphas, soit le monde, soit la vie, soit la mort, soit le présent, soit l’avenir. Tout vous appartient ; 23 tmais vous, vous appartenez au Christ, et le Christ appartient à Dieu.
1 Corinthians 3
1 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, as unto babes in Christ.2 I fed you with milk, not with meat; for ye were not yet able to bear it: nay, not even now are ye able;3 for ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you jealousy and strife, are ye not carnal, and do ye not walk after the manner of men?4 For when one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not men?5 What then is Apollos? and what is Paul? Ministers through whom ye believed; and each as the Lord gave to him.6 I planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.7 So then neither is he that planteth anything, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.8 Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: but each shall receive his own reward according to his own labor.9 For we are God’s fellow-workers: ye are God’s husbandry, God’s building.10 According to the grace of God which was given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder I laid a foundation; and another buildeth thereon. But let each man take heed how he buildeth thereon.11 For other foundation can no man lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.12 But if any man buildeth on the foundation gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay, stubble;13 each man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it is revealed in fire; and the fire itself shall prove each man’s work of what sort it is.14 If any man’s work shall abide which he built thereon, he shall receive a reward.15 If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as through fire.16 Know ye not that ye are a temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?17 If any man destroyeth the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, and such are ye.18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man thinketh that he is wise among you in this world, let him become a fool, that he may become wise.19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He that taketh the wise in their craftiness:20 and again, The Lord knoweth the reasonings of the wise that they are vain.21 Wherefore let no one glory in men. For all things are yours;22 whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours;23 and ye are Christ’s; and Christ is God’s.
