1 Korintierne 3
1 Og jeg, brødre, kunde ikke tale til eder som til åndelige, men bare som til kjødelige, som til småbarn i Kristus.2 Jeg gav eder melk å drikke og ikke fast føde; for I tålte den enda ikke. Ja, I tåler den ikke ennu,
3 I er jo ennu kjødelige. For når det er avind og trette iblandt eder, er I da ikke kjødelige og vandrer på menneskelig vis?
4 For når en sier: Jeg holder mig til Paulus, og en annen: Jeg til Apollos, er I da ikke mennesker?
5 Hvad er da Apollos? eller hvad er Paulus? Tjenere ved hvem I kom til troen, og det efter som Herren gav enhver.6 Jeg plantet, Apollos vannet, men Gud gav vekst;7 derfor er hverken den noget som planter, eller den som vanner, men Gud som gir vekst.8 Men den som planter, og den som vanner, er ett; dog skal enhver av dem få sin egen lønn efter sitt eget arbeid.9 For vi er Guds medarbeidere; I er Guds akerland, Guds bygning.
10 Efter den Guds nåde som er mig gitt, har jeg lagt grunnvoll som en vis byggmester, og en annen bygger videre; men enhver se til hvorledes han bygger videre!
11 For ingen kan legge en annen grunnvoll enn den som er lagt, det er Jesus Kristus.12 Men om nogen på denne grunnvoll bygger med gull, sølv, kostelige stener, tre, høi, strå,13 da skal enhvers verk bli åpenbart; for dagen skal vise det, for den åpenbares med ild, og hvordan enhvers verk er, det skal ilden prøve.14 Om det verk som en har bygget, står sig, da skal han få lønn;
15 om ens verk brenner op, da skal han tape lønnen, men selv skal han bli frelst, dog således som gjennem ild.
16 Vet I ikke at I er Guds tempel, og at Guds Ånd bor i eder?
17 Om nogen ødelegger Guds tempel, ham skal Gud ødelegge; for Guds tempel er hellig, og det er I.
18 Ingen dåre sig selv! Om nogen iblandt eder tykkes sig å være vis i denne verden, han bli en dåre, forat han kan bli vis;19 for denne verdens visdom er dårskap for Gud. For det er skrevet: Han fanger de vise i deres kløkt,
20 og atter: Herren kjenner de vises tanker, at de er tomme.
21 Derfor rose ingen sig av mennesker! for alt hører eder til,22 enten det er Paulus eller Apollos eller Kefas, enten det er verden eller liv eller død, enten det er det som nu er, eller det som komme skal(-)alt hører eder til,
23 men I hører Kristus til, og Kristus hører Gud til.
1 CORINTHIANS 3
Working Together for God
1 My friends, you are acting like the people of this world. That's why I could not speak to you as spiritual people. You are like babies as far as your faith in Christ is concerned. 2 t So I had to treat you like babies and feed you milk. You could not take solid food, and you still cannot,
3 because you are not yet spiritual. You are jealous and argue with each other. This proves you are not spiritual and you are acting like the people of this world.
4 t Some of you say you follow me, and others claim to follow Apollos. Isn't this how ordinary people behave? 5 Apollos and I are merely servants who helped you to have faith. It was the Lord who made it all happen. 6 t I planted the seeds, Apollos watered them, but God made them sprout and grow. 7 What matters isn't those who planted or watered, but God who made the plants grow. 8 The one who plants is just as important as the one who waters. And each one will be paid for what they do.
9 Apollos and I work together for God, and you are God's garden and God's building.Only One Foundation
10 God treated me with undeserved grace and let me become an expert builder. I laid a foundation on which others have built. But we must each be careful how we build, 11 because Christ is the only foundation. 12-13 Whatever we build on this foundation will be tested by fire on the day of judgment. Then everyone will find out if we have used gold, silver, and precious stones, or wood, hay, and straw. 14 We will be rewarded if our building is left standing.
15 But if it is destroyed by the fire, we will lose everything. Yet we ourselves will be saved, like someone escaping from flames.
16 t All of you surely know you are God's temple and his Spirit lives in you.
17 Together you are God's holy temple, and God will destroy anyone who destroys his temple.
18 Don't fool yourselves! If any of you think you are wise in the things of this world, you will have to become foolish before you can be truly wise. 19 t This is because God considers the wisdom of this world to be foolish. It is just as the Scriptures say, “God catches the wise when they try to outsmart him.” 20 t The Scriptures also say, “The Lord knows that the plans made by wise people are useless.” 21-22 So stop bragging about what anyone has done. Paul and Apollos and Petert all belong to you. In fact, everything is yours, including the world, life, death, the present, and the future. Everything belongs to you, 23 and you belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God.
