1 Coríntios 5
Imoralidade na Igreja!
1 Por toda parte se ouve que há imoralidade entre vocês, imoralidade que não ocorre nem entre os pagãos, ao ponto de um de vocês possuir a mulher de seu pai. 2 E vocês estão orgulhosos! Não deviam, porém, estar cheios de tristeza e expulsar da comunhão aquele que fez isso? 3 Apesar de eu não estar presente fisicamente, estou com vocês em espírito. E já condenei aquele que fez isso, como se estivesse presente. 4 Quando vocês estiverem reunidos em nome de nosso Senhor Jesus, estando eu com vocês em espírito, estando presente também o poder de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, 5 entreguem esse homem a Satanás, para que o corpo seja destruído, e seu espírito seja salvo no dia do Senhor.
6 O orgulho de vocês não é bom. Vocês não sabem que um pouco de fermento faz toda a massa ficar fermentada? 7 Livrem-se do fermento velho, para que sejam massa nova e sem fermento, como realmente são. Pois Cristo, nosso Cordeiro pascal, foi sacrificado. 8 Por isso, celebremos a festa, não com o fermento velho, nem com o fermento da maldade e da perversidade, mas com os pães da sinceridade e da verdade.
9 Já lhes disse por carta que vocês não devem associar-se com pessoas imorais. 10 Com isso não me refiro aos imorais deste mundo, nem aos avarentos, aos ladrões ou aos idólatras. Se assim fosse, vocês precisariam sair deste mundo. 11 Mas agora estou lhes escrevendo que não devem associar-se com qualquer que, dizendo-se irmão, seja imoral, avarento, idólatra, caluniador, alcoólatra ou ladrão. Com tais pessoas vocês nem devem comer.
12 Pois, como haveria eu de julgar os de fora da igreja? Não devem vocês julgar os que estão dentro? 13 Deus julgará os de fora. “Expulsem esse perverso do meio de vocês.”

Immoral Followers
1 t I have heard terrible things about some of you. In fact, you are behaving worse than Gentiles. A man is even sleeping with his own stepmother.t
2 You are proud, when you ought to feel bad enough to chase away anyone who acts like this.
3-4 I am with you only in my thoughts. But in the name of our Lord Jesus I have already judged this man, as though I were with you in person. So when you meet together and the power of the Lord Jesus is with you, I will be there too.
5 You must then hand that man over to Satan. His body will be destroyed, but his spirit will be saved when the Lord Jesus returns.
6 t Stop being proud! Don't you know how a little yeast can spread through the whole batch of dough? 7 t Get rid of the old yeast! Then you will be like fresh bread made without yeast, and this is what you are. Our Passover lamb is Christ, who has already been sacrificed.
8 t So don't celebrate the festival by being evil and sinful, which is like serving bread made with yeast. Be pure and truthful and celebrate by using bread made without yeast.
9 In my other lettert I told you not to have anything to do with immoral people. 10 But I wasn't talking about the people of this world. You would have to leave this world to get away from everyone who is immoral or greedy or who cheats or worships idols. 11 I was talking about your own people who are immoral or greedy or worship idols or curse others or get drunk or cheat. Don't even eat with them! 12 Why should I judge outsiders? Aren't we supposed to judge only church members? 13 t God judges everyone else. The Scriptures say, “Chase away any of your own people who are evil.”
