فساد اخلاقی در كلیسا
1 در حقیقت گفته شده است كه در میان شما یکنوع رابطهٔ جنسی نامشروع وجود دارد و این عمل آنقدر زشت است كه حتّی در میان كافران هم پیدا نمیشود، زیرا میشنوم كه شخصی با زن پدر خود میخوابد. 2 چرا به عوض اینكه خجل گشته و مقصّر را از میان خود بیرون كنید، افتخار هم میکنید؟ 3 اگرچه من جسماً از شما دور هستم، ولی روحاً حاضرم و چنان شخص مجرم را در نام خداوند عیسی محكوم ساختم كه گویی خودم در آنجا حضور داشتم. 4 پس وقتیکه شما بهخاطر این مرد جمع شوید، من هم روحاً در میان شما هستم، با قدرت خداوند ما عیسی،
5 این شخص را به شیطان تسلیم كنید تا طبیعت نفسانی او نابود شده و در روز خداوند یعنی روز داوری روحش نجات یابد.
6 فخر شما در این مورد بیجاست. مگر نمیدانید كه با كمی خمیرمایه مقدار زیادی خمیر ور میآید؟ 7 پس اگر میخواهید خمیر تازه (فطیر) باشید (چنانکه هستید) باید خمیرمایهٔ كهنه را تماماً از میان بردارید، زیرا مسیح كه «قربانی عید فصح» ماست، ذبح شده است.
8 بنابراین، عید فصح را نه با خمیرمایهٔ ترش و كهنه که خمیرمایهٔ بدخواهی و شرارت است، بلكه با نان فطیر كه نان صمیمیّت و صداقت است، نگاه داریم.
9 در نامهای به شما نوشتم كه با اشخاص شهوتران معاشرت نكنید. 10 ولی منظور من این نبود كه با تمام اشخاص شهوتران این جهان یا طمعكاران و كلاهبرداران و یا بتپرستان كاری نداشته باشید، زیرا در این صورت مجبور میشوید این دنیا را ترک كنید.
11 بلكه مقصود من این بود كه با کسانیکه خود را مسیحی میدانند ولی مرتكب زنا، طمع، بتپرستی، ناسزاگویی، مستی و یا كلاهبرداری میگردند، معاشرت نكنید حتّی با چنین اشخاصی غذا هم نخورید.
12 زیرا من با افراد خارج از كلیسا چهکار دارم كه دربارهٔ آنها قضاوت كنم؟ وظیفهٔ شما این است كه نسبت به اهل كلیسا داوری كنید 13 و داوری افرادی كه خارج از كلیسا هستند با خدا خواهد بود. آن مرد شریر را از میان خود برانید!

Immoral Followers
1 t I have heard terrible things about some of you. In fact, you are behaving worse than Gentiles. A man is even sleeping with his own stepmother.t
2 You are proud, when you ought to feel bad enough to chase away anyone who acts like this.
3-4 I am with you only in my thoughts. But in the name of our Lord Jesus I have already judged this man, as though I were with you in person. So when you meet together and the power of the Lord Jesus is with you, I will be there too.
5 You must then hand that man over to Satan. His body will be destroyed, but his spirit will be saved when the Lord Jesus returns.
6 t Stop being proud! Don't you know how a little yeast can spread through the whole batch of dough? 7 t Get rid of the old yeast! Then you will be like fresh bread made without yeast, and this is what you are. Our Passover lamb is Christ, who has already been sacrificed.
8 t So don't celebrate the festival by being evil and sinful, which is like serving bread made with yeast. Be pure and truthful and celebrate by using bread made without yeast.
9 In my other lettert I told you not to have anything to do with immoral people. 10 But I wasn't talking about the people of this world. You would have to leave this world to get away from everyone who is immoral or greedy or who cheats or worships idols. 11 I was talking about your own people who are immoral or greedy or worship idols or curse others or get drunk or cheat. Don't even eat with them! 12 Why should I judge outsiders? Aren't we supposed to judge only church members? 13 t God judges everyone else. The Scriptures say, “Chase away any of your own people who are evil.”
