1 János 5

1 Mindenki, aki hiszi, hogy Jézus a Krisztus, Istentől született, és mindenki, aki szereti az Atyát, a Fiút is szereti, aki tőle született.2 Abból ismerjük meg, hogy szeretjük Isten gyermekeit, hogyha Istent szeretjük, és parancsolatait megtartjuk.3 Mert az az Isten szeretete, hogy megtartjuk parancsolatait. Az ő parancsolatai pedig nem nehezek.4 Mindenki, aki Istentől született legyőzi a világot. A győzelem, amely legyőzte a világot: a mi hitünk.

5 Ki az, aki legyőzi a világot, ha nem az, aki hiszi, hogy Jézus az Isten Fia.
6 Ő az a Jézus Krisztus, aki víz és vér által jött el. Nemcsak vízzel, hanem vízzel és vérrel. A Lélek pedig bizonyságot tesz Róla, mert a Lélek az igazság.7 Hárman vannak, akik bizonyságot tesznek a mennyben: az Atya, az Ige és a Szentlélek és ez a három egy.8 És hárman vannak, akik bizonyságot tesznek a földön: a Lélek, a víz és a vér és ez a három is egy.9 Ha elfogadjuk az emberek bizonyságtételét, Isten bizonyságtétele nagyobb, mert Isten bizonyságtétele az, amellyel Fiáról tesz bizonyságot.10 Aki hisz Isten Fiában, abban megvan ez a bizonyságtétel. Aki nem hisz Istennek, hazuggá teszi őt, mert nem hisz abban a bizonyságtételben, amellyel Isten bizonyságot tett Fiáról.11 Ez a bizonyságtétel pedig az, hogy örök életet adott nekünk Isten. Ez az élet pedig az ő Fiában van.

12 Akié a Fiú, azé az élet. Akiben nincs meg Isten Fia, az élet sincs meg abban.
13 Ezeket azért írtam nektek, akik hisztek Isten Fiának nevében, hogy tudjátok meg: örök életetek van.14 Az az iránta való bizodalmunk, hogy ha kérünk valamit az ő akarata szerint, meghallgat minket.

15 Ha pedig tudjuk, hogy meghallgat bennünket, bármit kérünk, azt is tudjuk, hogy meg is adja azt, amit tőle kérünk.
16 Ha valaki látja, hogy atyjafia nem halálos bűnt követ el, könyörögjön érte, és életet fog adni annak, aki nem halálos bűnt követ el. Van halálos bűn. Nem az ilyen esetre mondom, hogy könyörögjön.

17 Minden gonoszság bűn, de van nem halálos bűn is.
18 Tudjuk, hogy aki Istentől született nem vétkezik, hanem aki Istentől született vigyáz magára, és a gonosz meg sem érinti.19 Tudjuk, hogy Istentől vagyunk, és az egész világ gonoszságban vesztegel.20 De tudjuk azt is, hogy az Isten Fia eljött és képességet adott nekünk arra, hogy megismerjük az Igazat, és hogy mi az Igazban, az ő Fiában, a Jézus Krisztusban vagyunk. Ő az igaz Isten és az örök élet.

21 Gyermekeim, oltalmazzátok meg magatokat a bálványoktól. Ámen.

1 Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christt has been fatheredt by God, and everyone who loves the fathers loves the child fathered by him.s2 By thist we know that we love the children of God: whenever we love God and obey his commandments.3 Fort this is the love of God:t that we keep his commandments.t And his commandments do not weigh us down,

4 becauset everyonet who has been fathered by Gods conquerst the world.s
Thist is the conquering powert that has conqueredt the world: our faith.

Testimony About the Son

5 Now who is the person who has conquered the world except the one who believes thatt Jesus is the Son of God?6 Jesus Christ is the one who came by water and blood – not by the water only, but by the water and the blood. And the Spirit is the one who testifies, becauset the Spirit is the truth.7 Fort there are three that testify,sss

8 the Spirit and the water and the blood, and these three are in agreement.
9 If we accept the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater, becauset thist is the testimony of God thatt he has testified concerning his Son.10 (The one who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself; the one who does not believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has testified concerning his Son.)s11 And this is the testimony: Godt has given us eternal life,s and this life is in his Son.

12 The one who has the Sons has thist eternalt life; the one who does not have the Son of God does not have thist eternalt life.

Assurance of Eternal Life

13 I have written these thingst to you who believet in the name of the Son of God so thatt you may know that you have eternal life.
14 And this is the confidence that we have before him: thatt whenevert we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.15 And if we knowt that he hears us in regard to whatever we ask, then we know that we have the requests that we have asked from him.16 Ift anyone sees his fellow Christiant committing a sin not resulting in death,t he should ask, and Godt will grantt life to the person who commits a sin not resulting in death.t There is a sin resulting in death.t I do not say that he should ask about that.

17 All unrighteousnesst is sin, but there is sin not resulting in death.t
18 We know that everyone fatheredt by God does not sin, but Godt protectst the one he has fathered, and the evil one cannot touch him.19 We know that we are from God,t and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.20 And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us insight to knowt him who is true, and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. This ones is the true God and eternal life.

21 Little children, guard yourselves from idols.ss
