Kutenda muMwanakomana waMwari
1 Mumwe nomumwe anotenda kuti Jesu ndiye Kristu, akaberekwa naMwari, uye mumwe nomumwe anoda baba anodawo mwana wavo.2 Izvi ndizvo zvatinoziva nazvo kuti tinoda vana vaMwari: kana tichida Mwari uye tichiita mirayiro yake.3 Uku ndiko kuda Mwari: kuteerera mirayiro yake. Uye mirayiro yake hairemi,4 nokuti vose vakaberekwa naMwari vanokunda nyika. Uku ndiko kukunda kwakakunda nyika, iko kutenda kwedu.5 Ndianiko anokunda nyika? Ndiye chete anotenda kuti Jesu ndiye Mwanakomana waMwari.
6 Uyu ndiye akauya nemvura neropa, Jesu Kristu. Haana kuuya nemvura bedzi, asi nemvura neropa. Uye Mweya ndiye anopupura, nokuti Mweya ndiye chokwadi.7 Nokuti kune zvitatu zvinopupura zvinoti:8 Mweya, mvura, neropa; uye zvitatu izvi zvinotenderana.9 Tinogamuchira uchapupu hwavanhu, asi uchapupu hwaMwari hukuru nokuti ndihwo uchapupu hwaMwari, hwaakapa pamusoro poMwanakomana wake.10 Munhu mumwe nomumwe anotenda muMwanakomana waMwari anouchapupu uhu mumwoyo make. Munhu mumwe nomumwe asingatendi Mwari, akabva amuita murevi wenhema, nokuti haana kutenda kupupura kwa-Mwari kwaakaita pamusoro poMwanakomana wake.11 Uye uku ndiko kupupura kuti: Mwari akatipa upenyu husingaperi, uye upenyu uhu huri muMwanakomana wake.
12 Uyo ano Mwanakomana ano upenyu; uyo asina Mwanakomana waMwari haana upenyu.
Mashoko Okupedzisira
13 Ndanyora izvi kwamuri imi munotenda muzita roMwanakomana waMwari kuitira kuti muzive kuti mune upenyu husingaperi.14 Ndiko kusatya kwatinako mukuswedera kwedu kuna Mwari: kuti kana tichikumbira chinhu chipi nechipi nokuda kwake, anotinzwa.15 Uye kana tichiziva kuti anotinzwa pazvose zvatinokumbira, tinoziva kuti tava nazvo zvatakumbira kwaari.
16 Kana munhu akaona hama yake ichiita chivi chisingaurayisi, anofanira kunyengetera uye Mwari achamupa upenyu. Ndinoreva vaya vane chivi chisingaurayisi. Pane chivi chinourayisa. Handirevi kuti anyengetere pamusoro pacho.17 Kuita chakaipa kwose chivi, uye pane chivi chisingaurayisi.
18 Tinoziva kuti mumwe nomumwe akaberekwa naMwari haarambi achiita chivi; uyo akaberekwa naMwari anomuchengeta zvakanaka, uye akaipa haagoni kumukuvadza.19 Tinoziva kuti tiri vana vaMwari, uye kuti nyika yose iri pai powakaipa.20 Tinozivawo kuti Mwanakomana waMwari akauya akatipa kunzwisisa, kuitira kuti timuzive iye wechokwadi. Uye tiri maari iye wechokwadi, kunyange muMwanakomana wake Jesu Kristu. Ndiye Mwari wechokwadi noupenyu husingaperi.

1 John 5
1 Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christt has been fatheredt by God, and everyone who loves the fathers loves the child fathered by him.s2 By thist we know that we love the children of God: whenever we love God and obey his commandments.3 Fort this is the love of God:t that we keep his commandments.t And his commandments do not weigh us down,
4 becauset everyonet who has been fathered by Gods conquerst the world.s
Thist is the conquering powert that has conqueredt the world: our faith.
Testimony About the Son
5 Now who is the person who has conquered the world except the one who believes thatt Jesus is the Son of God?6 Jesus Christ is the one who came by water and blood – not by the water only, but by the water and the blood. And the Spirit is the one who testifies, becauset the Spirit is the truth.7 Fort there are three that testify,sss
8 the Spirit and the water and the blood, and these three are in agreement.
9 If we accept the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater, becauset thist is the testimony of God thatt he has testified concerning his Son.10 (The one who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself; the one who does not believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has testified concerning his Son.)s11 And this is the testimony: Godt has given us eternal life,s and this life is in his Son.
12 The one who has the Sons has thist eternalt life; the one who does not have the Son of God does not have thist eternalt life.
Assurance of Eternal Life
13 I have written these thingst to you who believet in the name of the Son of God so thatt you may know that you have eternal life.
14 And this is the confidence that we have before him: thatt whenevert we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.15 And if we knowt that he hears us in regard to whatever we ask, then we know that we have the requests that we have asked from him.16 Ift anyone sees his fellow Christiant committing a sin not resulting in death,t he should ask, and Godt will grantt life to the person who commits a sin not resulting in death.t There is a sin resulting in death.t I do not say that he should ask about that.
17 All unrighteousnesst is sin, but there is sin not resulting in death.t
18 We know that everyone fatheredt by God does not sin, but Godt protectst the one he has fathered, and the evil one cannot touch him.19 We know that we are from God,t and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.20 And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us insight to knowt him who is true, and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. This ones is the true God and eternal life.
21 Little children, guard yourselves from idols.ss
