۱پطرس 4

1 لهذا چون مسیح بحسب جسم برای مازحمت کشید، شما نیز به همان نیت مسلح شوید زیرا آنکه بحسب جسم زحمت کشید، ازگناه بازداشته شده است.2 تا آنکه بعد از آن مابقی عمر را در جسم نه بحسب شهوات انسانی بلکه موافق اراده خدا بسر برد.3 زیرا که عمر گذشته کافی است برای عمل نمودن به خواهش امتها ودر فجور و شهوات و میگساری و عیاشی و بزمهاو بتپرستیهای حرام رفتار نمودن.4 و در این متعجب هستند که شما همراه ایشان به سوی همین اسراف اوباشی نمی شتابید و شما را دشنام میدهند.5 و ایشان حساب خواهند داد بدو که مستعد است تا زندگان و مردگان را داوری نماید.6 زیرا که از اینجهت نیز به مردگان بشارت داده شد تا بر ایشان موافق مردم بحسب جسم حکم شود و موافق خدا بحسب روح زیست نمایند.7 لکن انتهای همهچیز نزدیک است. پس خرداندیش و برای دعا هشیار باشید.8 و اول همه با یکدیگر بشدت محبت نمایید زیرا که محبت کثرت گناهان را میپوشاند.9 و یکدیگر را بدون همهمه مهمانی کنید.10 و هریک بحسب نعمتی که یافته باشد، یکدیگر را در آن خدمت نماید، مثل وکلاء امین فیض گوناگون خدا.11 اگر کسی سخن گوید، مانند اقوال خدا بگوید و اگر کسی خدمت کند، برحسب توانایی که خدا بدو داده باشد بکند تا در همهچیز، خدا بواسطه عیسی مسیح جلال یابد که او را جلال و توانایی تاابدالاباد هست، آمین.12 ای حبیبان، تعجب منمایید از این آتشی که در میان شماست و بجهت امتحان شما میآید که گویا چیزی غریب بر شما واقع شده باشد.13 بلکه بقدری که شریک زحمات مسیح هستید، خشنودشوید تا در هنگام ظهور جلال وی شادی و وجدنمایید.14 اگر بخاطر نام مسیح رسوایی میکشید، خوشابحال شما زیرا که روح جلال وروح خدا بر شما آرام میگیرد.15 پس زنهار هیچیکی از شما چون قاتل یا دزد یا شریر یا فضول عذاب نکشد.16 لکن اگر چون مسیحی عذاب بکشد، پس شرمنده نشود بلکه به این اسم خدا راتمجید نماید.17 زیرا این زمان است که داوری ازخانه خدا شروع شود؛ و اگر شروع آن از ماست، پس عاقبت کسانی که انجیل خدا را اطاعت نمی کنند چه خواهد شد؟18 و اگر عادل به دشواری نجات یابد، بیدین و گناهکار کجا یافت خواهد شد؟19 پس کسانی نیز که برحسب اراده خدا زحمت کشند، جانهای خود را در نیکوکاری به خالق امین بسپارند.

1 PETER 4

Being Faithful to God

1 Christ suffered here on earth. Now you must be ready to suffer as he did, because suffering shows that you have stopped sinning. 2 It means you have turned from your own desires and want to obey God for the rest of your life. 3 You have already lived long enough like people who don't know God. You were immoral and followed your evil desires. You went around drinking and partying and carrying on. In fact, you even worshiped disgusting idols. 4 Now your former friends wonder why you have stopped running around with them, and they curse you for it. 5 But they will have to answer to God, who judges the living and the dead.

6 The good news has even been preached to the dead, t so that after they have been judged for what they have done in this life, their spirits will live with God.

7 Everything will soon come to an end. So be serious and be sensible enough to pray.

8  t Most important of all, you must sincerely love each other, because love wipes away many sins.

9 Welcome people into your home and don't grumble about it.
10 Each of you has been blessed with one of God's many wonderful gifts to be used in the service of others. So use your gift well.

11 If you have the gift of speaking, preach God's message. If you have the gift of helping others, do it with the strength that God supplies. Everything should be done in a way that will bring honor to God because of Jesus Christ, who is glorious and powerful forever. Amen.

Suffering for Being //a Christian

13 Be glad for the chance to suffer as Christ suffered. It will prepare you for even greater happiness when he makes his glorious return.
14 Count it a blessing when you suffer for being a Christian. This shows that God's glorious Spirit is with you. 15 But you deserve to suffer if you are a murderer, a thief, a crook, or a busybody. 16 Don't be ashamed to suffer for being a Christian. Praise God that you belong to him.

17 God has already begun judging his own people. And if his judgment begins with us, imagine how terrible it will be for those who refuse to obey his message. The Scriptures say,

18  t “If good people barely escape,
what will happen to sinners
and to others
who don't respect God?”
19 If you suffer for obeying God, you must have complete faith in your faithful Creator and keep on doing right.
