۱۔پطرس 4
1 اب چونکہ مسیح نے جسمانی طور پر دُکھ اُٹھایا اِس لئے آپ بھی اپنے آپ کو اُس کی سی سوچ سے لیس کریں۔ کیونکہ جس نے مسیح کی خاطر جسمانی طور پر دُکھ سہہ لیا ہے اُس نے گناہ سے نپٹ لیا ہے۔2 نتیجے میں وہ زمین پر اپنی باقی زندگی انسان کی بُری خواہشات پوری کرنے میں نہیں گزارے گا بلکہ اللہ کی مرضی پوری کرنے میں۔3 ماضی میں آپ نے کافی وقت وہ کچھ کرنے میں گزارا جو غیرایمان دار پسند کرتے ہیں یعنی عیاشی، شہوت پرستی، نشہ بازی، شراب نوشی، رنگ رلیوں، ناچ رنگ اور گھنونی بُت پرستی میں۔4 اب آپ کے غیرایمان دار دوست تعجب کرتے ہیں کہ آپ اُن کے ساتھ مل کر عیاشی کے اِس تیز دھارے میں چھلانگ نہیں لگاتے۔ اِس لئے وہ آپ پر کفر بکتے ہیں۔5 لیکن اُنہیں اللہ کو جواب دینا پڑے گا جو زندوں اور مُردوں کی عدالت کرنے کے لئے تیار کھڑا ہے۔6 یہی وجہ ہے کہ اللہ کی خوش خبری اُنہیں بھی سنائی گئی جو اب مُردہ ہیں۔ مقصد یہ تھا کہ وہ اللہ کے سامنے روح میں زندگی گزار سکیں اگرچہ انسانی لحاظ سے اُن کے جسم کی عدالت کی گئی ہے۔7 تمام چیزوں کا خاتمہ قریب آ گیا ہے۔ چنانچہ دعا کرنے کے لئے چست اور ہوش مند رہیں۔8 سب سے ضروری بات یہ ہے کہ آپ ایک دوسرے سے لگاتار محبت رکھیں، کیونکہ محبت گناہوں کی بڑی تعداد پر پردہ ڈال دیتی ہے۔9 بڑبڑائے بغیر ایک دوسرے کی مہمان نوازی کریں۔10 اللہ اپنا فضل مختلف نعمتوں سے ظاہر کرتا ہے۔ فضل کا یہ انتظام وفاداری سے چلاتے ہوئے ایک دوسرے کی خدمت کریں، ہر ایک اُس نعمت سے جو اُسے ملی ہے۔11 اگر کوئی بولے تو اللہ کے سے الفاظ کے ساتھ بولے۔ اگر کوئی خدمت کرے تو اُس طاقت کے ذریعے جو اللہ اُسے مہیا کرتا ہے، کیونکہ اِس طرح ہی اللہ کو عیسیٰ مسیح کے وسیلے سے جلال دیا جائے گا۔ ازل سے ابد تک جلال اور قدرت اُسی کی ہو! آمین۔12 عزیزو، ایذا رسانی کی اُس آگ پر تعجب نہ کریں جو آپ کو آزمانے کے لئے آپ پر آن پڑی ہے۔ یہ مت سوچنا کہ میرے ساتھ کیسی غیرمعمولی بات ہو رہی ہے۔13 بلکہ خوشی منائیں کہ آپ مسیح کے دُکھوں میں شریک ہو رہے ہیں۔ کیونکہ پھر آپ اُس وقت بھی خوشی منائیں گے جب مسیح کا جلال ظاہر ہو گا۔14 اگر لوگ اِس لئے آپ کی بےعزتی کرتے ہیں کہ آپ مسیح کے پیروکار ہیں تو آپ مبارک ہیں۔ کیونکہ اِس کا مطلب ہے کہ اللہ کا جلالی روح آپ پر ٹھہرا ہوا ہے۔15 اگر آپ میں سے کسی کو دُکھ اُٹھانا پڑے تو یہ اِس لئے نہیں ہونا چاہئے کہ آپ قاتل، چور، مجرم یا فسادی ہیں۔16 لیکن اگر آپ کو مسیح کے پیروکار ہونے کی وجہ سے دُکھ اُٹھانا پڑے تو نہ شرمائیں بلکہ مسیح کے نام میں اللہ کی حمد و ثنا کریں۔17 کیونکہ اب وقت آ گیا ہے کہ اللہ کی عدالت شروع ہو جائے، اور پہلے اُس کے گھر والوں کی عدالت کی جائے گی۔ اگر ایسا ہے تو پھر اِس کا انجام اُن کے لئے کیا ہو گا جو اللہ کی خوش خبری کے تابع نہیں ہیں؟18 اور اگر راست باز مشکل سے بچیں گے تو پھر بےدین اور گناہ گار کا کیا ہو گا؟19 چنانچہ جو اللہ کی مرضی سے دُکھ اُٹھا رہے ہیں وہ نیک کام کرنے سے باز نہ آئیں بلکہ اپنی جانوں کو اُسی کے حوالے کریں جو اُن کا وفادار خالق ہے۔
1 Peter 4
1 Forasmuch then as Christ suffered in the flesh, arm ye yourselves also with the same mind; for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;2 that ye no longer should live the rest of your time in flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.3 For the time past may suffice to have wrought the desire of the Gentiles, and to have walked in lasciviousness, lusts, winebibbings, revellings, carousings, and abominable idolatries:4 wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them into the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:5 who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the living and the dead.6 For unto this end was the gospel preached even to the dead, that they might be judged indeed according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore of sound mind, and be sober unto prayer:8 above all things being fervent in your love among yourselves; for love covereth a multitude of sins:9 using hospitality one to another without murmuring:10 according as each hath received a gift, ministering it among yourselves, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God;11 if any man speaketh, speaking as it were oracles of God; is any man ministereth, ministering as of the strength which God supplieth: that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, whose is the glory and the dominion for ever and ever. Amen.12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial among you, which cometh upon you to prove you, as though a strange thing happened unto you:13 but insomuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings, rejoice; that at the revelation of his glory also ye may rejoice with exceeding joy.14 If ye are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are ye; because the Spirit of glory and the Spirit of God resteth upon you.15 For let none of you suffer as a murderer, or a thief, or an evil-doer, or as a meddler in other men’s matters:16 but if a man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God in this name.17 For the time is come for judgment to begin at the house of God: and if it begin first at us, what shall be the end of them that obey not the gospel of God?18 And if the righteous is scarcely saved, where shall the ungodly and sinner appear?19 Wherefore let them also that suffer according to the will of God commit their souls in well-doing unto a faithful Creator.
