IV.— CONSEJOS DIVERSOS (5,1-14)
A los dirigentes de la Iglesia
1 Esto es lo que les pido a quienes los dirigen,t yo, que comparto con ellos la tarea y soy testigo de la pasión de Cristo y partícipe de la gloria que está a punto de revelarse:t 2 apacienten el rebaño de Dios confiado a cargo de ustedes; cuídenlo*, no a la fuerza o por una rastrera ganancia, sino gustosamente y con generosidad, como Dios quieret;t 3 no como dictadores sobre quienes estén a cargo de ustedes, sino como modelos del rebaño.t
4 Y el día en que se manifieste el Pastor supremo recibirán ustedes el premiot imperecedero de la gloria.tA los fieles
5 En cuanto a ustedes, jóvenes, respeten a sus mayorest. Que la sencillez presida sus mutuas relaciones, pues Dios hace frente a los orgullosos y concede, en cambio, su favor a los humildes.t 6 Así que sométanse al poder de Dios, para que él los encumbre en el momento oportuno. 7 Confíenle todas sus preocupaciones, ya que él se preocupa de ustedes.t 8 No se dejen seducir ni sorprender. El diablo, que es el enemigo de ustedes, ronda como león rugiente buscando a quién devorar.t 9 Resístanlo firmes en la fe, conscientes de que los hermanos dispersos por el mundo soportan los mismos sufrimientos.t 10 Y Dios, fuente de todo bien, que los ha llamado a ustedes a compartir con Cristo su gloria eterna, después de estos breves padecimientos, los restablecerá, los confirmará, los fortalecerá y los colocará sobre una base inconmovible.t
11 Suyo es el poder para siempre. Amén.Saludos finales

Leading and Living in God’s Flock
1 So as your fellow elder and a witness of Christ’s sufferings and as one who shares in the glory that will be revealed, I urge the elders among you:2 Give a shepherd’s care tot God’s flock among you, exercising oversights not merely as a dutyt but willingly under God’s direction,t not for shameful profit but eagerly.3 And do not lord it overt those entrusted to you,t but be examples to the flock.
4 Thent when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that never fades away.
5 In the same way, you who are younger,s be subject to the elders. And all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.s6 And God will exalt you in due time,t if you humble yourselves under his mighty handt7 by castingts all your carest on him because he cares for you.8 Be sober and alert. Your enemy the devil, like a roaring lion,s is on the prowl looking for someones to devour.9 Resist him,t strong in your faith, because you knowt that your brothers and sisterst throughout the worldt are enduringt the same kinds of suffering.t10 And, after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace who called you to his eternal glory in Christs will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.t
11 To him belongst the power forever. Amen.

12 Through Silvanus,s whom I know to be a faithful brother,t I have written to you briefly, in order to encourage you and testifyt that this is the true grace of God. Stand fast in it.t13 The churcht in Babylon,s chosen together with you,t greets you, and so does Mark, my son.
