Vakuru naVaduku
1 Kuvakuru vari pakati penyu, ndinokumbira hangu somukuru pamwe chete nemi, nechapupu chamatambudziko aKristu, uye somumwewo achazogovana navo mukubwinya kuchazoratidzwa ndichiti:2 Ivai vafudzi veboka raMwari riri pasi penyu, muchibata savatariri, musingazviiti nokuroveredzwa, asi nokuda kwokuti munoda, sezvinodikanwa naMwari kuti muve; musingakariri mari, asi muchishingaira pakushanda;3 musingaremedzi vaya vakaiswa kwamuri, asi muve muenzaniso kuboka.4 Uye mufudzi mukuru paachaonekwa, muchapiwa korona yokubwinya isingaori.
5 Saizvozvo, imi majaya, muzviise pasi pavaya vari vakuru. Imi mose, pfekai kuzvininipisa kuno mumwe nomumwe, nokuti,
“Mwari anodzivisa vanozvikudza
asi anopa nyasha kuna vanozvininipisa.”
6 Naizvozvo, muzvininipise, pasi poruoko rune simba rwaMwari, kuti agokusimudzirai munguva yakafanira.7 Kandai pamusoro pake kufunganya kwenyu kwose nokuti anokuchengetai.
8 Muzvidzore uye musvinure. Muvengi wenyu dhiabhori anofamba-famba achiomba seshumba inotsvaka waingadya.9 Mumudzivise, mumire makasimba mukutenda, nokuti munoziva kuti hama dzenyu munyika yose dziri kutambudzika saizvozvo.
10 Uye Mwari wenyasha dzose, akakudanirai kukubwinya kwake kusingaperi muna Kristu, mushure mokumbotambudzika kwechinguva chiduku, achakuponesai uye achakusimbisai, agokumisai zvakasimba uye agokutsigisai.
11 Ngaave nesimba nokusingaperi-peri. Ameni.

12 Ndakakunyorerai muchidimbu ndi-chibatsirwa naSirasi hama yangu yakatendeka, ndichikukurudzirai uye ndichipupura kuti idzi ndidzo nyasha dzaMwari dzechokwadi. Mirai makasimba madziri.
13 Kereke iri muBhabhironi, yakasanangurwa pamwe chete nemi, inokukwazisai, uye mwanakomana wangu Mako anokukwazisaiwo.14 Kwazisanai nokutsvodana kworudo.

Leading and Living in God’s Flock
1 So as your fellow elder and a witness of Christ’s sufferings and as one who shares in the glory that will be revealed, I urge the elders among you:2 Give a shepherd’s care tot God’s flock among you, exercising oversights not merely as a dutyt but willingly under God’s direction,t not for shameful profit but eagerly.3 And do not lord it overt those entrusted to you,t but be examples to the flock.
4 Thent when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that never fades away.
5 In the same way, you who are younger,s be subject to the elders. And all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.s6 And God will exalt you in due time,t if you humble yourselves under his mighty handt7 by castingts all your carest on him because he cares for you.8 Be sober and alert. Your enemy the devil, like a roaring lion,s is on the prowl looking for someones to devour.9 Resist him,t strong in your faith, because you knowt that your brothers and sisterst throughout the worldt are enduringt the same kinds of suffering.t10 And, after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace who called you to his eternal glory in Christs will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.t
11 To him belongst the power forever. Amen.

12 Through Silvanus,s whom I know to be a faithful brother,t I have written to you briefly, in order to encourage you and testifyt that this is the true grace of God. Stand fast in it.t13 The churcht in Babylon,s chosen together with you,t greets you, and so does Mark, my son.
