Elkarte-arduradunak

1 Zuen arteko arduraduneit nik, beraiek bezala arduradun eta Kristoren sufrimenduen testigut eta gero agertuko den aintzaren partaide naizen honek, arren eskatzen diet: 2 larra ezazue Jainkoak zuen esku jarri duen artaldeat; zaindu, ez gogoz kontra, gogo onez baizik, Jainkoak nahi bezala; ez irabazi zikinari begira, bihotz-zabaltasunez baizik; 3 ez zaintzeko egokitu zaizkizuenen gain agintea ezarrizt, artaldearentzat eredu izanez baizik.

4 Horrela, artzaint nagusia agertzean, inoiz zimelduko ez den aintzazko koroa jasoko duzue.

Izan apal eta egon erne

7 Utzi Jainkoari zeuen kezka guztiak, bera baita zuetaz arduratzent.
8 Izan zaitezte neurritsu eta egon ernet. Zuen etsaia, deabrua, zuen inguruan dabil, goseak dagoen lehoia bezala, nor irentsiko. 9 Egiozue aurre fedean sendot, munduan zabaldurik diren beste senideak ere zuek bezalakoxe sufrimenduak jasaten ari direla jakinik. 10 Eta pixka batean sufritu ondoren, dohain guztien iturri den Jainkoak, Kristoren bidez bere betiko aintzara deitut zaituztenak, berak bizkortuko zaituzte, sendo egin eta finko ezarriko.

11 Berari dagokio ahalmenat menderen mendetan. Amen.

13 Babilonia honetan bizi den eta zuek bezalaxe Jainkoak aukeratuat den eliz elkarteak agurtzen zaituzte, baita nire seme Markosekt ere.
14 Agur ezazue elkar, maitasunez besarkatuzt t. Bakea Kristorenak zareten guztioi.

Leading and Living in God’s Flock

1 So as your fellow elder and a witness of Christ’s sufferings and as one who shares in the glory that will be revealed, I urge the elders among you:2 Give a shepherd’s care tot God’s flock among you, exercising oversights not merely as a dutyt but willingly under God’s direction,t not for shameful profit but eagerly.3 And do not lord it overt those entrusted to you,t but be examples to the flock.

4 Thent when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that never fades away.
5 In the same way, you who are younger,s be subject to the elders. And all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.s6 And God will exalt you in due time,t if you humble yourselves under his mighty handt7 by castingts all your carest on him because he cares for you.8 Be sober and alert. Your enemy the devil, like a roaring lion,s is on the prowl looking for someones to devour.9 Resist him,t strong in your faith, because you knowt that your brothers and sisterst throughout the worldt are enduringt the same kinds of suffering.t10 And, after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace who called you to his eternal glory in Christs will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.t

11 To him belongst the power forever. Amen.

12 Through Silvanus,s whom I know to be a faithful brother,t I have written to you briefly, in order to encourage you and testifyt that this is the true grace of God. Stand fast in it.t13 The churcht in Babylon,s chosen together with you,t greets you, and so does Mark, my son.

14 Greet one another with a loving kiss.t Peace to all of you who are in Christ.s
