1 Pedro 5

O rebanho de Deus

1 Agora, dirijo-me aos presbíterost que estão entre vocês. Falo não só como presbítero que sou, assim como vocês, mas também como testemunha dos sofrimentos de Cristo e como participante da glória que vai ser revelada. Eu lhes peço isto:2 Pastoreiem o rebanho de Deus que há entre vocês, e tomem conta dele com muito cuidado. Porém, não façam isso como que por obrigação, mas sim espontaneamente, como Deus quer. Não pastoreiem, tampouco, por ambição ao dinheiro, mas sim de boa vontade.3 Não procurem dominar sobre aqueles que foram confiados a vocês, mas, pelo contrário, tornem-se exemplos para o rebanho.

4 Assim, quando o Supremo Pastor voltar, vocês receberão a coroa que é gloriosa e que jamais perderá a sua beleza.
5 Peço também aos mais jovens que sejam submissos aos presbíterost e que todos tratem uns aos outros com humildade pois, como dizem as Escriturast:Deus se opõe aos que são orgulhosos,mas concede a sua graçat aos que são humildes.t

6 Portanto, humilhem-se sob a poderosa mão de Deus, para que Ele os exalte no momento certo.7 Lancem sobre Ele toda a sua ansiedade, pois Ele cuida de vocês.8 Tenham domínio próprio e estejam sempre alerta! O Diabo, o adversário de vocês, anda ao redor como um leão que ruge, procurando alguém para devorar.

9 Resistam-lhe e estejam firmes na fé, pois vocês sabem que no mundo inteiro seus irmãos estão passando pelos mesmos sofrimentos.
10 Mas depois de vocês terem sofrido um pouco, Deus os fará perfeitos e firmes, fortalecendo-os e dando-lhes estabilidade. Ele é a fonte de todas as bênçãos e os chamou para que vocês participem de sua eterna glória em Cristo.

11 A Ele seja o poder para sempre. Amém.

12 Eu lhes escrevi esta pequena carta com a ajuda de Silas, que é para mim um irmão fiel. Eu escrevi para encorajá-los e para testificar que esta é a genuína graçat de Deus. Permaneçam firmes nela.
13 A igreja que está em Babilônia e que também foi escolhida por Deus, assim como vocês, manda lembranças. Marcos, meu filho, também manda lembranças.

Serve God Willingly

1 Therefore, I exhort the elders among you, as your fellow elder and witness of the sufferings of Christ, and a partaker also of the glory that is to be revealed,2 shepherd the flock of God among you, exercising oversight not under compulsion, but voluntarily, according to the will of God; and not for sordid gain, but with eagerness;3 nor yet as lording it over those allotted to your charge, but proving to be examples to the flock.4 And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory.5 You younger men, likewise, be subject to your elders; and all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, for GOD IS OPPOSED TO THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE.

6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time,7 casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.8 Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.9 But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world.10 After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you.11 To Him be dominion forever and ever. Amen.

12 Through Silvanus, our faithful brother (for so I regard him ), I have written to you briefly, exhorting and testifying that this is the true grace of God. Stand firm in it!13 She who is in Babylon, chosen together with you, sends you greetings, and so does my son, Mark.

14 Greet one another with a kiss of love.
