1 พี่_น้อง_ทั้งหลาย พวก_เรา_ไม่_จำ_เป็น_ต้อง_เขียน_บอก_พวก_คุณ_เลย_ถึง_เรื่อง_วัน_และ_เวลา_นั้น
2 เพราะ_พวก_คุณ_ก็_รู้_ดี_อยู่_แล้ว_ว่า องค์_เจ้า_ชีวิต_จะ_มา_เหมือน_กับ_ขโมย_ที่_มา_ใน_เวลา_กลาง_คืน
3 เมื่อ_คน_พูด_ว่า “ทุก_อย่าง_สงบ_สุข_และ_ปลอดภัย_ดี_แล้ว” การ_ทำลาย_ล้าง_ก็_จะ_เกิด_ขึ้น_กับ_พวก_เขา_ทัน_ที_เหมือน_กับ_การ_ปวด_ท้อง_คลอด_ลูก และ_พวก_เขา_ก็_หนี_ไป_ไหน_ไม่_พ้น_ด้วย
4 แต่_พี่_น้อง_ครับ วันนั้น_จะ_ไม่จู่_โจม_เข้า_ใส่_พี่_น้องอย่าง_ไม่ทัน_ตั้งตัว_เหมือน_ขโมย_มา เพราะ_พวก_คุณ_ไม่_ได้_อยู่_ใน_ความ_มืด
5 เพราะ_พวก_คุณ_ทุก_คน_เป็น_ของ_ความ_สว่าง และ_เป็น_ของ_กลาง_วัน พวก_เรา_ไม่_ได้_เป็น_ของ_กลาง_คืน_หรือ_ของ_ความ_มืด
6 ดัง_นั้น อย่า_นอน_หลับ_เหมือน_คน_อื่นๆ_แต่_ให้_ตื่นตัว และ_มี_สติ_อยู่_เสมอ
7 เพราะ_คน_ที่_นอน_ก็_จะ_นอน_ใน_ตอน_กลาง_คืน และ_คน_ที่_เมา_ก็_จะ_เมา_ใน_ตอน_กลาง_คืน
8 แต่_พวก_เรา_เป็น_ของ_กลาง_วัน จึง_ต้อง_มี_สติ ให้_สวม_ใส่ความ_เชื่อ_และ_ความ_รัก_เป็น_เกราะ_ป้องกัน_อก_ของ_พวก_เรา และ_ให้_เอา_ความ_หวัง_ที่_พระเจ้า_จะ_ช่วย_พวก_เรา_ให้_รอด_นั้น_มา_ใส่_เป็น_หมวก_เหล็ก
9 เพราะ_พระเจ้า_ไม่_ได้_เลือก_พวก_เรา_ให้_มา_ถูก_พระองค์_ลงโทษ แต่_ให้_มา_รับ_ความ_รอด_ผ่าน_ทาง_พระ_เยซู_คริสต_เจ้า_ของ_พวก_เรา
10 พระ_เยซู_ตาย_เพื่อ_พวก_เรา ดัง_นั้น_เมื่อ_พระองค์_มา ไม่ว่า_พวก_เรา_จะ_ตื่นอยู่_หรือ_ล่วงหลับ_ไป_แล้ว พวก_เรา_ก็_จะ_มี_ชีวิต_อยู่_กับ_พระองค์
11 ฉะนั้น คอย_ให้_กำลัง_ใจ_ซึ่ง_กัน_และ_กัน และ_เสริม_สร้าง_ฝ่ายจิต_วิญญาณ_ซึ่ง_กัน_และ_กัน เหมือน_กับ_ที่_กำลัง_ทำ_กัน_อยู่_แล้ว_ใน_ตอน_นี้

13 ขอ_ให้_พวก_คุณ_เคารพ_นับถือ_พวก_เขา_อย่าง_สูง_ด้วย_ความ_รัก_เพราะ_งาน_ที่_พวก_เขา_ได้_ทำ และ_ขอ_ให้_พวก_คุณ_อยู่_กัน_อย่าง_สงบ_สุข
14 พวก_เรา_ขอ_หนุน_ใจ_พี่_น้อง_ทั้งหลาย_ให้_ตัก_เตือน_คน_ที่_ขี้เกียจ_หลังยาว ช่วย_ปลอบ_โยน_คน_ขี้กลัว ช่วย_เหลือ_คน_อ่อนแอ และ_ให้_อดทน_กับ_ทุก_คน
15 ระวัง_อย่า_ให้_ใคร_ทำ_ชั่ว_ตอบแทน_ความ_ชั่ว แต่_พยายาม_ทำ_ดี_ต่อ_กัน_และ_ต่อ_ทุก_คน_เสมอ
16 ขอ_ให้_พวก_คุณ_เบิก_บาน_แจ่ม_ใส_อยู่_ตลอด
17 ให้_อธิษฐาน_ตลอด_เวลา
18 และ_ให้_ขอบคุณ_พระเจ้า_ใน_ทุก_สถานการณ์ นี่_แหละ_เป็น_สิ่ง_ที่_พระเจ้า_อยาก_ให้_พวก_คุณ_ทำ_ใน_พระ_เยซูคริสต์
19 อย่า_ดับ_ไฟ_ของ_พระ_วิญญาณ
20 อย่า_ลบหลู่_คำ_พูด_ของ_ผู้_พูด_แทน_พระเจ้า
21 แต่_ให้_ทด_สอบ_ทุก_อย่าง_เพื่อ_ให้_แน่ใจ_ว่า_สิ่ง_นั้น_มา_จาก_พระเจ้า_จริง แล้ว_ยึด_มั่น_ใน_สิ่ง_ที่_ดี
22 หลีก_หนี_จาก_สิ่ง_ที่_ชั่ว_ร้าย_ทุก_ชนิด
23 ขอ_ให้_พระเจ้า_ผู้ที่_ให้_สันติสุข ทำ_ให้_พวก_คุณ_บริสุทธิ์_หมดจด_ใน_ทุก_เรื่อง_สำหรับ_พระองค์ และ_ขอ_ให้_จิต_วิญญาณ_ทั้งดวงt_ของ_พวก_คุณ_ทุก_คน_ถูก_เก็บ_รักษา_ไว้_ไม่_ให้_มี_ที่_ติ จน_กว่า_พระ_เยซู_คริสต์เจ้า_ของ_พวก_เรา_จะ_กลับ_มา
24 พระองค์_จะ_ทำ_อย่าง_นี้_แน่_นอน เพราะ_พระเจ้า_ที่_เรียก_พวก_คุณ_มา_นั้น_ซื่อ_สัตย์
25 พี่_น้อง_ทั้งหลาย อธิษฐาน_เผื่อ_พวก_เรา_ด้วย
26 ทักทาย_พี่_น้อง_ทุก_คน_ด้วย_จูบ_ที่_บริสุทธิ์
27 ให้_สัญญา_ต่อหน้า_องค์_เจ้า_ชีวิต_ว่า พวก_คุณ_จะ_อ่าน_จด_หมาย_ฉบับ_นี้_ให้_พี่_น้อง_ทุก_คนฟัง
28 ขอ_ให้_พระ_เยซู_คริสต์เจ้า_ของ_พวก_เรา มี_เมตตา_กรุณา_ต่อ_พวก_คุณ_เถิด
1 Thessalonians 5
The Day of the Lord
1 Now as to the times and the epochs, brethren, you have no need of anything to be written to you.2 For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night.3 While they are saying, "Peace and safety!" then destruction will come upon them suddenly like labor pains upon a woman with child, and they will not escape.4 But you, brethren, are not in darkness, that the day would overtake you like a thief;5 for you are all sons of light and sons of day. We are not of night nor of darkness;6 so then let us not sleep as others do, but let us be alert and tsober.7 For those who sleep do their sleeping at night, and those who get drunk get drunk at night.8 But since we are of the day, let us be tsober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation.9 For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,10 who died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep, we will live together with Him.11 Therefore encourage one another and build up one another, just as you also are doing.
Christian Conduct
12 But we request of you, brethren, that you appreciate those who diligently labor among you, and have charge over you in the Lord and give you instruction,13 and that you esteem them very highly in love because of their work. Live in peace with one another.14 We urge you, brethren, admonish the unruly, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with everyone.15 See that no one repays another with evil for evil, but always seek after that which is good for one another and for all people.16 Rejoice always;17 pray without ceasing;18 in everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.19 Do not quench the Spirit;20 do not despise prophetic tutterances.21 But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good;22 abstain from every tform of evil.
23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.24 Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass.
25 Brethren, pray for ust.
26 Greet all the brethren with a holy kiss.27 I adjure you by the Lord to have this letter read to all the brethren.
28 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
