1 Тимотей 1

1 Павел апостол Исус Христов, по повеление на Бога Спаса нашего и Господа Исуса Христа нашата надежда,2 на Тимотея собственото ми във вярата чадо: Благодат, милост, мир, от Бога Отца нашего, и Христа Исуса Господа нашего.3 Както те молих, когато отхождах в Македония да останеш в Ефес, за да заръчаш на някои си да не предават друго учение,4 нито да внимават на басни и безконечни родословия, които произвождат повече препирания, а не назидание Божие във вярата, така прави.5 А целта на заръчането е любов от чисто сърдце, от добра съвест, и от нелицемерна вяра;6 в които като погрешиха някои уклониха се в празднословие,7 и искат да са законоучители, без да разумяват нито което говорят нито за което потвърдяват.8 А ние знаем че законът е добър ако го употребява някой законно;9 като знае това, че законът не бе положен за праведния, но за беззаконните и непокорливите, за нечестивите и грешните, неправедните и скверните, за отцеубийците и майкоубийците, за человекоубийците,10 за блудниците, мъжеложниците, заробителите, лъжците, клетвопрестъпниците, и за всичко друго що е противно на здравото учение,11 по славното евангелие на блаженаго Бога което ми бе поверено.12 И благодаря Христу Исусу Господу нашему, който ми даде сила, че ме има за верен, и настани на службата мене13 който бях изпърво хулител и гонител и обезчестител. Но помилван бидох, понеже без да зная сторих това в неверие;14 и преумножи се благодатта на Господа нашего с вяра и любов в Христа Исуса.15 Верно и за всяко приимане достойно е словото, че Христос Исус дойде на света да спаси грешните, от които първий съм аз;16 но за това бидох помилван, да покаже Исус Христос първом в мене всичкото си дълготърпение, за пример на тези които щяха да повярват в него за живот вечен.17 А на Царя на вековете, на нетленнаго, невидимаго, едного премъдраго Бога, чест и слава във веки веков. Амин.18 Това заръчане ти предавам, чадо Тимотее, според станалите по-напред за тебе пророчества, да воинствуваш в тях доброто воинствуване,19 като имаш вяра и добра съвест, която като отхвърлиха някои отпаднаха от вярата;20 от които са Именей и Александър, които предадох на Сатана за да се научат да не богохулствуват.

1 Timothy 1

Salutation

1 From Paul,t an apostle of Christ Jesus by the command of God our Saviors and of Christ Jesus our hope,

2 to Timothy, my genuine child in the faith. Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord!

Timothy’s Task in Ephesus

3 As I urged you when I was leaving for Macedonia, stay on in Ephesuss to instructt certain people not to spread false teachings,t4 nor to occupy themselves with myths and interminable genealogies.s Such things promote useless speculations rather than God’s redemptive plansts that operates by faith.5 But the aim of our instructiont is love that comes from a pure heart, a good conscience, and a sincere faith.t6 Some have strayed from these and turned away to empty discussion.

7 They want to be teachers of the law, but they do not understand what they are saying or the things they insist on so confidently.t
8 But we know that the law is good if someone uses it legitimately,9 realizing that laws is not intended for a righteous person, but for lawless and rebellious people, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers,10 sexually immoral people, practicing homosexuals,t kidnappers, liars, perjurers – in fact, for any who live contrary to sound teaching.

11 Thist accords with the glorious gospel of the blessed Godt that was entrusted to me.t
12 I am grateful to the one who has strengthened me, Christ Jesus our Lord, because he considered me faithful in putting me into ministry,13 even though I was formerly a blasphemer and a persecutor, and an arrogantt man. But I was treated with mercy because I acted ignorantly in unbelief,14 and our Lord’s grace was abundant, bringing faith and love in Christ Jesus.t15 This sayingt is trustworthy and deserves full acceptance: “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” – and I am the worst of them!t16 But here is why I was treated with mercy: so thatt in me as the worst,t Christ Jesus could demonstrate his utmost patience, as an example for those who are going to believe in him for eternal life.

17 Now to the eternal king,t immortal, invisible, the onlys God, be honor and glory forever and ever!t Amen.
18 I put this charges before you, Timothy my child, in keeping with the prophecies once spoken about you,s in order that with such encouragementt you may fight the good fight.19 To do thist you must hold firmly to faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and so have suffered shipwreck in regard to the faith.

20 Among these are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I handed over to Satans to be taught not to blaspheme.
