2 Kuna Timoti mwanakomana wangu chaiye pakutenda:

3 Sezvandakakumbira zvikuru kwauri pandakaenda kuMasedhonia, gara paEfeso kuitira kuti ugorayira vamwe varume kuti varege kudzidzisa dzidziso dzenhema,4 kana kuzvipira kungano nokunhoroondo dzamazita amadzitateguru dzisingaperi. Izvi zvinongomutsa nharo panzvimbo yebasa raMwari rinoitwa nokutenda.5 Chinovavarirwa nomurayiro uyu ndirwo rudo runobva pamwoyo wakachena, hana yakanaka nokutenda kwechokwadi.6 Vamwe vakarasika kubva pazvinhu izvi uye vakatsaukira mukutaura kusina maturo.7 Vanoda kuva vadzidzisi vomurayiro, asi havazivi zvavari kutaura pamusoro pazvo kana izvo zvavari kushingira kusimbisa.
8 Tinoziva kuti murayiro wakanaka kana munhu achiushandisa zvakanaka.9 Tinozivawo kuti murayiro hauna kuitirwa vakarurama asi vanodarika murayiro navanomukira, vasina umwari navatadzi, vasiri vatsvene navasina chinamato; vaya vanouraya vanababa vavo kana vanamai vavo, vanouraya vanhu,10 mhombwe navanopomba navamwe varume, navanotengesa vanhu kuti vave varanda, varevi venhema, navanopika nhema, uye kana chimwe chipi zvacho chinopesana nedzidziso yechokwadi

11 inosimbisa vhangeri rokubwinya, raMwari akaropafadzwa, iro raakapa kwandiri.

12 Ndinovonga Kristu Jesu Ishe wedu, akandipa simba, akati ndakatendeka, akandiisa pabasa rake.13 Kunyange zvazvo ndaimbomhura Mwari ndiri mutambudzi nomunhu wokumanikidza, ndakaitirwa ngoni nokuti ndakazviita mukusaziva uye nomukusatenda.14 Nyasha zhinji dzaIshe wedu dzakadururwa pamusoro pangu, pamwe chete nokutenda norudo zviri muna Kristu Jesu.
15 Herino shoko rezvokwadi rinofanira kutendwa kwazvo: Kristu Jesu akauya munyika kuti aponese vatadzi, ini ndiri mukuru wavo.16 Asi nokuda kwechikonzero ichochi ndakaitirwa ngoni kuitira kuti mandiri ini mutadzi mukuru, Kristu Jesu aratidze mwoyo murefu wake usingaperi kuti ndive muenzaniso kuna avo vachatenda kwaari uye vagowana upenyu husingaperi.17 Zvino iye Ishe asingaperi, asingafi, asingaonekwi, iye Mwari oga, ngaave nokukudzwa nokubwinya nokusingaperi-peri.

20 Vamwe vavo ndiHimenio naArekizanda, avo vandakaisa kuna Satani kuti vadzidziswe kuti varege kumhura Mwari.

1 Timothy 1

Salutation

1 From Paul,t an apostle of Christ Jesus by the command of God our Saviors and of Christ Jesus our hope,

2 to Timothy, my genuine child in the faith. Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord!

Timothy’s Task in Ephesus

3 As I urged you when I was leaving for Macedonia, stay on in Ephesuss to instructt certain people not to spread false teachings,t4 nor to occupy themselves with myths and interminable genealogies.s Such things promote useless speculations rather than God’s redemptive plansts that operates by faith.5 But the aim of our instructiont is love that comes from a pure heart, a good conscience, and a sincere faith.t6 Some have strayed from these and turned away to empty discussion.

7 They want to be teachers of the law, but they do not understand what they are saying or the things they insist on so confidently.t
8 But we know that the law is good if someone uses it legitimately,9 realizing that laws is not intended for a righteous person, but for lawless and rebellious people, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers,10 sexually immoral people, practicing homosexuals,t kidnappers, liars, perjurers – in fact, for any who live contrary to sound teaching.

11 Thist accords with the glorious gospel of the blessed Godt that was entrusted to me.t
12 I am grateful to the one who has strengthened me, Christ Jesus our Lord, because he considered me faithful in putting me into ministry,13 even though I was formerly a blasphemer and a persecutor, and an arrogantt man. But I was treated with mercy because I acted ignorantly in unbelief,14 and our Lord’s grace was abundant, bringing faith and love in Christ Jesus.t15 This sayingt is trustworthy and deserves full acceptance: “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” – and I am the worst of them!t16 But here is why I was treated with mercy: so thatt in me as the worst,t Christ Jesus could demonstrate his utmost patience, as an example for those who are going to believe in him for eternal life.

17 Now to the eternal king,t immortal, invisible, the onlys God, be honor and glory forever and ever!t Amen.
18 I put this charges before you, Timothy my child, in keeping with the prophecies once spoken about you,s in order that with such encouragementt you may fight the good fight.19 To do thist you must hold firmly to faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and so have suffered shipwreck in regard to the faith.

20 Among these are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I handed over to Satans to be taught not to blaspheme.
