Первое послание к Тимофею 1

1 павел, посланник Иисус Христов по повелению Бога спаса нашего и Господа Иисуса Христа упования нашего,2 тимофею присному чаду в вере: благодать, милость, мир от Бога Отца нашего и Христа Иисуса Господа нашего.3 Якоже умолих тя пребыти во ефесе, идый в македонию, да завещаеши неким не инако учити,4 ниже внимати баснем и родословием безконечным, яже стязания творят паче, нежели Божие строение, еже в вере.5 Конец же завещания есть любы от чиста сердца и совести благия и веры нелицемерныя,6 в нихже нецыи погрешивше, уклонишася в суесловия,7 хотяще быти законоучителе, не разумеюще ни яже глаголют, ни о нихже утверждают.8 Вемы же, яко добр закон (есть), аще кто его законне творит,9 ведый сие, яко праведнику закон не лежит, но беззаконным и непокоривым, нечестивым (же) и грешником, неправедным и скверным, отца и матере досадителем, мужеубийцам,10 блудником, мужеложником, разбойником, (клеветником, скотоложником,) лживым, клятвопреступником, и аще что ино здравому учению противится,11 по благовестию славы блаженнаго Бога, еже мне уверено бысть.12 И благодарю укрепляющаго мя Христа Иисуса Господа нашего, яко верна мя непщева, положив (мя) в службу,13 бывша мя иногда хульника и гонителя и досадителя: но помилован бых, яко неведый сотворих в неверствии:14 упреумножися же благодать Господа нашего (Иисуса Христа) с верою и любовию яже о Христе Иисусе.15 Верно слово и всякаго приятия достойно, яко Христос Иисус прииде в мир грешники спасти, от нихже первый есмь аз.16 Но сего ради помилован бых, да во мне первем покажет Иисус Христос все долготерпение, за образ хотящих веровати ему в жизнь вечную.17 Царю же веков нетленному, невидимому, единому премудрому Богу, честь и слава во веки веков. Аминь.18 Сие же завещание предаю ти, чадо тимофее, по бывших на тя прежде пророчествиих, да воинствуеши в них доброе воинство,19 имея веру и благую совесть, юже нецыи отринувше, от веры отпадоша:20 от нихже есть именей и александр, ихже предах сатане, да накажутся не хулити.

1 Timothy 1

Salutation

1 From Paul,t an apostle of Christ Jesus by the command of God our Saviors and of Christ Jesus our hope,

2 to Timothy, my genuine child in the faith. Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord!

Timothy’s Task in Ephesus

3 As I urged you when I was leaving for Macedonia, stay on in Ephesuss to instructt certain people not to spread false teachings,t4 nor to occupy themselves with myths and interminable genealogies.s Such things promote useless speculations rather than God’s redemptive plansts that operates by faith.5 But the aim of our instructiont is love that comes from a pure heart, a good conscience, and a sincere faith.t6 Some have strayed from these and turned away to empty discussion.

7 They want to be teachers of the law, but they do not understand what they are saying or the things they insist on so confidently.t
8 But we know that the law is good if someone uses it legitimately,9 realizing that laws is not intended for a righteous person, but for lawless and rebellious people, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers,10 sexually immoral people, practicing homosexuals,t kidnappers, liars, perjurers – in fact, for any who live contrary to sound teaching.

11 Thist accords with the glorious gospel of the blessed Godt that was entrusted to me.t
12 I am grateful to the one who has strengthened me, Christ Jesus our Lord, because he considered me faithful in putting me into ministry,13 even though I was formerly a blasphemer and a persecutor, and an arrogantt man. But I was treated with mercy because I acted ignorantly in unbelief,14 and our Lord’s grace was abundant, bringing faith and love in Christ Jesus.t15 This sayingt is trustworthy and deserves full acceptance: “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” – and I am the worst of them!t16 But here is why I was treated with mercy: so thatt in me as the worst,t Christ Jesus could demonstrate his utmost patience, as an example for those who are going to believe in him for eternal life.

17 Now to the eternal king,t immortal, invisible, the onlys God, be honor and glory forever and ever!t Amen.
18 I put this charges before you, Timothy my child, in keeping with the prophecies once spoken about you,s in order that with such encouragementt you may fight the good fight.19 To do thist you must hold firmly to faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and so have suffered shipwreck in regard to the faith.

20 Among these are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I handed over to Satans to be taught not to blaspheme.
