Ang Bakakon nga mga Magtutudlo

1  Klaro ang ginaingon sa Espiritu Santo nga sa kaulahiang mga adlaw ang uban mobiya sa ilang pagtuo sa Dios. Mamati sila sa mga pagtulon-an sa bakakon ug daotan nga mga espiritu.2 Kini nga mga pagtulon-an ginatudlo niadtong mga tawong limbongan ug bakakon nga wala hasola sa ilang konsensya tungod kay gigamhan sila ni Satanas.3 Ginatudlo nila nga daotan ang pagminyo, ug may mga pagkaon pa sila nga ginadili. Apan kini nga mga pagkaon gibuhat sa Dios aron kaonon nga may pagpasalamat niadtong mga tawong nagatuo ug nakahibalo gayod sa kamatuoran.4 Ang tanan nga gibuhat sa Dios maayo. Busa walay butang nga angay balibaran kon dawaton nga may pagpasalamat.

5 Kay gihinloan kini pinaagi sa pulong sa Dios ug sa pag-ampo.

Ang Maayo nga Alagad ni Cristo Jesus

6 Maayo ka nga alagad ni Cristo Jesus kon itudlo mo kini diha sa atong mga igsoon. Ug samtang nagatudlo ka kanila, mamatuto mo usab ang imong kaugalingon pinaagi sa mga kamatuoran mahitungod sa atong pagtuo, ug sa tinuod nga pagtulon-an nga imong gisunod.7 Apan likayi ang mga pagtulon-an nga wala maggikan sa Dios kay kana binuhat-buhat lang sa mga tawo. Bansaya ang imong kaugalingon sa diosnon nga pagkinabuhi.8 May kapuslanan ang pagpaugnat sa kusog, apan mas mahinungdanon gayod nga bansayon nato ang atong kaugalingon diha sa espirituhanon nga mga butang, tungod kay kon mao kini ang atong buhaton, magmapuslanon gayod ang atong kinabuhi karon ug sa umaabot.9 Tinuod kini ug angay gayod nga paminawon ug tuohan sa tanan.10  Mao kanay hinungdan nga manlimbasog gayod kita ug maningkamot nga matudlo kini ngadto sa mga tawo , tungod kay nagasalig kita sa buhi nga Dios nga mao ang Manluluwas sa tanan nga mga tawo, labi na gayod niadtong mga nagatuo.

11 Itudlo ug ipatuman kini.
12  Ayaw pasagdi nga tamayon ka tungod sa imong pagkabatan-on, hinuon paningkamoti nga mahimo kang panig-ingnan sa mga tumutuo ni Cristo : sa pagsulti, sa pamatasan, sa paghigugma, sa pagtuo, ug sa hinlo nga pagkinabuhi.13  Samtang wala pa ako diha, gamita ang imong panahon sa pagbasa sa Kasulatan ngadto sa mga panagtigom sa katawhan , sa pagwali, ug sa pagpanudlo.14 Ayaw pasagdi ang hiyas nga gihatag kanimo sa Espiritu Santo sumala sa panagna sa mga kadagkoan sa iglesia sa dihang gipandong nila ang ilang mga kamot kanimo.15 Buhata kini kanunay aron makita sa tanan ang imong pag-uswag.16 Pagmatngon sa imong kaugalingon nga kinabuhi ug sa imong ginatudlo. Padayona ang pagbuhat niana aron maluwas ka ingon man ang naminaw kanimo.

Timothy’s Ministry in the Later Times

1 Now the Spirit explicitly says that in the later times some will desert the faith and occupy themselvest with deceiving spirits and demonic teachings,t2 influenced by the hypocrisy of liarst whose consciences are seared.ts3 They will prohibit marriage and require abstinence from foods that God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.4 For every creation of God is good and no foodt is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving.

5 For it is sanctified by God’s word and by prayer.
6 By pointing out such things to the brothers and sisters,t you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, having nourished yourself on the words of the faith and of the good teaching that you have followed.s7 But reject those mythss fit only for the godless and gullible,t and train yourself for godliness.8 For “physical exerciset has some value, but godliness is valuable in every way. It holds promise for the present life and for the life to come.”9 This sayingts is trustworthy and deserves full acceptance.

10 In fact this is whyt we work hard and struggle,s because we have set our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all people,t especially of believers.
11 Command and teach these things.12 Let no one look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in your speech, conduct, love, faithfulness,t and purity.13 Until I come, give attention to the public reading of scripture,ts to exhortation, to teaching.14 Do not neglect the spiritual gift you have,t given to you and confirmed by prophetic wordsts when the elders laid hands on you.t15 Take pains with these things; be absorbed in them, so that everyone will see your progress.t

16 Be conscientious about how you live and what you teach.t Persevere in this, because by doing so you will save both yourself and those who listen to you.
