Las falsas doctrinas
1 Pero el Espíritu dice claramente que, en los últimos tiempos, algunos se apartarán de la fe para seguir a espíritus engañadores y enseñanzas que vienen de los demonios.t 2 Harán caso a gente hipócrita y mentirosa, cuya conciencia está marcada con el hierro de las malas acciones.t 3 Esa gente prohíbe casarse y comer ciertos alimentos que Dios ha creado para que, dándole gracias, los comant los creyentes y quienes conocen la verdad. 4 Pues todo lo que Dios ha creado es bueno,t y nada debe ser rechazado si lo comemos dando gracias a Dios,
5 porque la palabra de Dios y la oración lo hacen puro.tUn buen siervo de Jesucristo
6 Si enseñas estas cosas a los hermanos y te alimentas con las palabras de la fe y la buena enseñanza que has seguido, serás un buen servidor de Cristo Jesús.
7 Pero no hagas caso de cuentos mundanos y tontos.t Ejercítate en la devoción a Dios, 8 pues aunque el ejercicio del cuerpo sirva para algo, la devoción a Dios es útil para todo; ella nos trae provecho para esta vida y también para la vida futura. 9 Esto es muy cierto y todos deben creerlo.t
10 Por eso mismo trabajamos y luchamos,t porque hemos puesto nuestra esperanza en el Dios viviente, que es el salvador de todos y especialmente de los que creen.
11 Estas cosas tienes que mandar y enseñar. 12 Evita que te desprecien por ser joven;t más bien debes ser un ejemplo para los creyentes en tu modo de hablar y de portarte, y en amor, fe y pureza de vida. 13 Mientras llego, dedícate a leer en público las Escrituras, a animar a los hermanos y a instruirlos.t
14 No descuides los dones que Dios te concedió cuando, por inspiración suya, los ancianos de la iglesia te impusieron las manos.t
15 Pon toda tu atención en estas cosas, para que todos puedan ver cómo adelantas. 16 Ten cuidado de ti mismo y de lo que enseñas a otros, y sigue firme en todo. Si lo haces así, te salvarás tú y salvarás también a los que te escuchen.

Timothy’s Ministry in the Later Times
1 Now the Spirit explicitly says that in the later times some will desert the faith and occupy themselvest with deceiving spirits and demonic teachings,t2 influenced by the hypocrisy of liarst whose consciences are seared.ts3 They will prohibit marriage and require abstinence from foods that God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.4 For every creation of God is good and no foodt is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving.
5 For it is sanctified by God’s word and by prayer.
6 By pointing out such things to the brothers and sisters,t you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, having nourished yourself on the words of the faith and of the good teaching that you have followed.s7 But reject those mythss fit only for the godless and gullible,t and train yourself for godliness.8 For “physical exerciset has some value, but godliness is valuable in every way. It holds promise for the present life and for the life to come.”9 This sayingts is trustworthy and deserves full acceptance.
10 In fact this is whyt we work hard and struggle,s because we have set our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all people,t especially of believers.
11 Command and teach these things.12 Let no one look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in your speech, conduct, love, faithfulness,t and purity.13 Until I come, give attention to the public reading of scripture,ts to exhortation, to teaching.14 Do not neglect the spiritual gift you have,t given to you and confirmed by prophetic wordsts when the elders laid hands on you.t15 Take pains with these things; be absorbed in them, so that everyone will see your progress.t
16 Be conscientious about how you live and what you teach.t Persevere in this, because by doing so you will save both yourself and those who listen to you.
