디모데전서 4

거짓 교사

1 성령께서 환히 말씀하십니다. 마지막 때에, 어떤 사람들은 믿음에서 떠나, 속이는 영과 악마의 교훈을 따를 것입니다. 2 그러한 교훈은, 그 양심에 낙인이 찍힌 거짓말쟁이의 속임수에서 나오는 것입니다. 3 이런 자들은 혼인을 금하고, 어떤 음식물을 먹지 말라고 할 것입니다. 그러나 그 음식물은, 하나님께서, 믿는 사람과 진리를 아는 사람이 감사하는 마음으로 먹게 하시려고 만드신 것입니다. 4 하나님께서 지으신 것은 모두 다 좋은 것이요, 감사하는 마음으로 받으면, 버릴 것이 하나도 없습니다. 5 모든 것은 하나님의 말씀과 기도로 거룩해집니다.

그리스도 예수의 좋은 일꾼

6 그대가 이런 교훈으로 t형제자매를 깨우치면, 그대는 믿음의 말씀과 그대가 지금까지 좇고 있는 좋은 교훈으로 양육을 받아 그리스도 예수의 좋은 t일꾼이 될 것입니다. 7 저속하고 헛된 꾸며낸 이야기들을 물리치십시오. 경건함에 이르도록 몸을 훈련하십시오. 8 몸의 훈련은 약간의 유익이 있으나, 경건 훈련은 모든 면에 유익하니, 이 세상과 장차 올 세상의 생명을 약속해 줍니다. 9 이 말은 참말이요, 모든 사람이 받아들일 만한 말입니다. 10 우리가 모든 사람 특히 믿는 사람의 구주이신 살아 계신 하나님께 소망을 두므로, 우리는 수고하며 애를 쓰고 있습니다. 11 그대는 이것들을 명령하고 가르치십시오. 12 아무도, 그대가 젊다고 해서, 그대를 업신여기지 못하게 하십시오. 도리어 그대는, 말과 행실과 사랑과 믿음과 순결에 있어서, 믿는 이들의 본이 되십시오. 13 내가 갈 때까지, t성경을 읽는 일과 권면하는 일과 가르치는 일에 전념하십시오. 14 그대 속에 있는 은사, 곧 그대가 장로들의 안수를 받을 때에 예언을 통하여 그대에게 주신 그 은사를 소홀히 여기지 마십시오. 15 이 일들을 명심하고 힘써 행하십시오. 그리하여 그대가 발전하는 모습을 모든 사람에게 나타나게 하십시오. 16 그대 자신과 그대의 가르침을 살피십시오. 이런 일을 계속하십시오. 이렇게 함으로써, 그대 자신도 구원하고, 그대의 말을 듣는 사람들도 구원할 것입니다.

1 TIMOTHY 4

People Will Turn from //Their Faith

1 God's Spirit clearly says that in the last days many people will turn from their faith. They will be fooled by evil spirits and by teachings that come from demons. 2 They will also be fooled by the false claims of liars whose consciences have lost all feeling. These liars 3 will forbid people to marry or to eat certain foods. But God created these foods to be eaten with thankful hearts by his followers who know the truth. 4 Everything God created is good. And if you give thanks, you may eat anything.

5 What God has said and your prayer will make it fit to eat.

Paul's Advice to Timothy

6 If you teach these things to other followers, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus. You will show you have grown up on the teachings about our faith and on the good instructions you have obeyed. 7 Don't have anything to do with worthless, senseless stories. Work hard to be truly religious.

8-9 As the saying goes,
“Exercise is good
for your body,
but religion helps you
in every way.
It promises life
now and forever.”
These words are worthwhile and should not be forgotten.

10 We have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of everyone, but especially of those who have faith. This is why we work and struggle so hard.t
11 Teach these things and tell everyone to do what you say.

12 Don't let anyone make fun of you, just because you are young. Set an example for other followers by what you say and do, as well as by your love, faith, and purity.
13 Until I arrive, be sure to keep on reading the Scriptures in worship, and don't stop preaching and teaching. 14 Use the gift you were given when the prophets spoke and the group of church leaderst blessed you by placing their hands on you. 15 Remember these things and think about them, so everyone can see how well you are doing. 16 Be careful about the way you live and about what you teach. Keep on doing this, and you will save not only yourself, but the people who hear you.
