1 Timotei 6
1 Toți cei ce sunt sub jugul sclaviei, să-și considere stăpânii vrednici de toată onoarea, pentru ca Numele lui Dumnezeu și învățătura noastră să nu fie batjocorite.2 Cei care au stăpâni credincioși să nu-i desconsidere sub motiv că sunt frați, ci să le slujească și mai mult, pentru că cei ce beneficiază de lucrarea lor bună sunt credincioși și preaiubiți. Învață -i pe alții și îndeamnă-i cu privire la aceste lucruri!
Iubirea de bani
3 Dacă cineva învață pe alții o altă doctrină și nu este de acord cu cuvintele sănătoase ale Domnului nostru Isus Cristos și cu învățătura care duce la evlavie,4 este plin de mândrie și nu înțelege nimic, ci are boala controverselor și a certurilor de cuvinte, din care apar invidia, cearta, blasfemiile, bănuielile rele5 și ciorovăielile permanente dintre oamenii cu mintea pervertită, lipsiți de adevăr și care cred că evlavia este un mijloc de îmbogățire.6 Evlavia este, într-adevăr, un mare câștig, dacă este însoțită de mulțumire.7 Căci noi n-am adus nimic în lume, astfel că nu putem lua nimic din ea.8 Dacă avem mâncare și îmbrăcăminte, acestea ne vor fi de ajuns.9 Cei care vor să se îmbogățească vor cădea în ispită, în capcană și în multe pofte nesăbuite și vătămătoare, care-i cufundă pe oameni în ruină și pierzare.10 Căci iubirea de bani este rădăcina tuturor relelor, iar unii, care au tânjit după ea, au rătăcit de la credință și s-au străpuns singuri cu multe dureri.
Îndemnuri pentru Timotei
11 Însă tu, om al lui Dumnezeu, fugi de aceste lucruri! Urmărește dreptatea, evlavia, credința, dragostea, răbdarea, blândețea!12 Luptă-te lupta cea bună a credinței! Apucă viața veșnică la care ai fost chemat și pentru care ai depus o bună mărturie înaintea multor martori!13 Îți poruncesc, înaintea lui Dumnezeu, Care dă viață tuturor lucrurilor, și înaintea lui Cristos Isus, Care a depus o bună mărturie înaintea lui Ponțiu Pilatt,14 să păzești fără pată și fără reproș această poruncă până la arătarea Domnului nostru Isus Cristos,15 pe care binecuvântatult și singurul Suveran, Împăratul împăraților și Domnul domnilor, o va descoperi la timpul potrivit,16 El, singurul Care are nemurirea, Care locuiește într-o lumină de care nimeni nu se poate apropia și pe Care nici un om nu L-a văzut și nici nu-L poate vedea. A Lui să fie onoarea și puterea veșnică! Amin.
17 Poruncește-le bogaților din veacul de acum să nu se îngâmfe, să nu-și pună nădejdea în bogățiile nesigure, ci în Dumnezeu, Care ne oferă din belșug toate lucrurile, ca să ne bucurăm.18 Spune-le să facă binele, să fie bogați în fapte bune, să fie generoși, gata să împartă cu alții ,19 adunându-și astfel drept comoară o bună temelie pentru viitor, ca să apuce adevărata viață.
20 Timotei, păzește ceea ce ți s-a încredințat! Evită flecărelile lumești și contradicțiile în legătură cu ceea ce, în mod fals, este numit „cunoaștere“t,
21 pe care unii au împărtășit-o și astfel au rătăcit de la credință.

1 TIMOTHY 6
1 If you are a slave, you should respect and honor your owner. This will keep people from saying bad things about God and about our teaching.
2 If any of you slaves have owners who are followers, you should show them respect. After all, they are also followers of Christ, and he loves them. So you should serve and help them the best you can.False Teaching and //True Wealth
These are the things you must teach and tell the people to do. 3 Anyone who teaches something different disagrees with the correct and godly teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ. 4 Those people who disagree are proud of themselves, but they don't really know a thing. Their minds are sick, and they like to argue over words. They cause jealousy, disagreements, unkind words, evil suspicions,
5 and nasty quarrels. They have wicked minds and have missed out on the truth.
These people think religion is supposed to make you rich. 6 And religion does make your life rich, by making you content with what you have. 7 We didn't bring anything into this world, and we won'tt take anything with us when we leave. 8 So we should be satisfied just to have food and clothes. 9 People who want to be rich fall into all sorts of temptations and traps. They are caught by foolish and harmful desires that drag them down and destroy them.
10 The love of money causes all kinds of trouble. Some people want money so much they have given up their faith and caused themselves a lot of pain.Fighting a Good Fight //for the Faith
11 Timothy, you belong to God, so keep away from all these evil things. Try your best to please God and to be like him. Be faithful, loving, dependable, and gentle. 12 Fight a good fight for the faith and claim eternal life. God offered it to you when you clearly told about your faith, while so many people listened. 13 t Now I ask you to make a promise. Make it in the presence of God, who gives life to all, and in the presence of Christ Jesus, who openly told Pontius Pilate about his faith.
14 Promise to obey completely and fully all that you have been told until our Lord Jesus Christ returns.
15 t The glorious God
is the only Ruler,
the King of kings
and Lord of lords.
At the time that God
has already decided,
he will send Jesus Christ
back again.
16 t Only God lives forever!
And he lives in light
that no one can come near.
No human has ever seen God
or ever can see him.
God will be honored,
and his power
will last forever. Amen.
17 Warn the rich people of this world not to be proud or to trust in wealth that is easily lost. Tell them to have faith in God, who is rich and blesses us with everything we need to enjoy life. 18 Instruct them to do as many good deeds as they can and to help everyone. Remind the rich to be generous and share what they have.
19 This will lay a solid foundation for the future, so they will know what true life is like.
20 Timothy, guard what God has placed in your care! Don't pay any attention to godless and stupid talk that sounds smart but really isn't.
21 Some people have even lost their faith by believing this talk.
