2. Korinther 13
1 Zum drittenmal will ich jetzt zu euch kommen.t Durch die Aussage zweier oder dreier Zeugen soll jede Sache entschieden werden.t2 Was ich bei meiner zweiten Anwesenheit denen, die noch in ihren alten Sünden stecken, und allen anderen (Widerspenstigen) erklärt habe, das wiederhole ich jetzt in meiner Abwesenheit: Bei meiner Rückkehr will ich keine Schonung üben.3 Ihr wünscht ja zu erfahren, daß Christus durch mich redet: er zeigt sich gegen euch nicht schwach;t nein, er ist mächtig unter euch.t4 Denn ist er auch in (menschlicher) Schwachheit gekreuzigt worden, so lebt er nun durch Gottes Kraft. Wir sind auch schwach wie er; doch in seiner Gemeinschaft werden wir durch Gottes Kraft voll Leben sein, und das sollt ihr erfahren!5 Seht zu, ob ihr im Glauben steht; prüft euch selbst! Oder merkt ihr nicht, daß Jesus Christus in euch wohnt? Ihr wärt sonst nicht echt (im Glauben).6 Daß wir echt sind und die Probe bestehen, das sollt ihr hoffentlich erfahren.7 Wir beten aber zu Gott, er möge euch vor allem Bösen bewahren. Uns liegt ja nicht daran, daß wir erprobt erscheinen,t sondern daß ihr das Gute tut, — dann wollen wir gern als solche gelten, die die Probe nicht bestehen.t8 Denn wir vermögen nichts gegen die Wahrheit, wir wollen nur die Wahrheit fördern.t9 Ja wir freuen uns, wenn wir schwach sind und ihr stark seid.t Und daß ihr euch wieder zurechtbringen laßt —, das ist es ja, was wir (von Gott) erflehen.10 Gerade deshalb schreibe ich euch diesen Brief aus der Ferne, damit ich bei meiner Anwesenheit nicht mit Strenge aufzutreten brauche in der Ausübung der Macht, die mir der Herr verliehen hat zur Erbauung und nicht zur Zerstörung.11 Im übrigen, Brüder, freut euch, laßt euch wieder zurechtbringen, nehmt Ermahnung an, seid einträchtig und lebt in Frieden! Dann wird der Gott der Liebe und des Friedens mit euch sein.12 Grüßt einander mit dem heiligen Kuß! Es grüßen euch alle Heiligen.t14 Die Gnade des Herrn Jesus Christus, die Liebe Gottes und die Gemeinschaft des Heiligen Geistest sei mit euch allen!

1 This is the third time I am coming to you. At the mouth of two witnesses or three shall every word established.2 I have said beforehand, and I do say beforehand, as when I was present the second time, so now, being absent, to them that have sinned heretofore, and to all the rest, that, if I come again, I will not spare;3 seeing that ye seek a proof of Christ that speaketh in me; who to you-ward is not weak, but is powerful in you:4 for he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth through the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him through the power of God toward you.5 Try your own selves, whether ye are in the faith; prove your own selves. Or know ye not as to your own selves, that Jesus Christ is in you? unless indeed ye be reprobate.6 But I hope that ye shall know that we are not reprobate.7 Now we pray to God that ye do no evil; not that we may appear approved, but that ye may do that which is honorable, though we be as reprobate.8 For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.9 For we rejoice, when we are weak, and ye are strong: this we also pray for, even your perfecting.10 For this cause I write these things while absent, that I may not when present deal sharply, according to the authority which the Lord gave me for building up, and not for casting down.11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfected; be comforted; be of the same mind; live in peace: and the God of love and peace shall be with you.12 Salute one another with a holy kiss.13 All the saints salute you.14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit, be with you all.
