2 Coríntios 13

Conselhos finais e saudações

1 Esta é a terceira vez que vou visitá-los. Lembrem-se de que "Toda acusação tem que ser confirmada pela boca de duas ou três testemunhas"t.2 Quando estive com vocês pela segunda vez, eu avisei aqueles que tinham pecado, e a todos os outros; agora que estou longe de vocês, eu torno a avisar que não lhes pouparei.3 Eu vou fazer isso porque vocês estão procurando provas de que Cristo fala por meio de mim. Ele não é fraco para com vocês; ao contrário, Ele é poderoso entre vocês.

4 É verdade que Cristo estava fraco quando foi crucificado, contudo Ele agora vive pelo poder de Deus. É verdade também que nós somos fracos nele, mas nós viveremos com Ele pelo poder de Deus para o benefício de vocês.
5 Examinem a si mesmos para verem se ainda estão vivendo com fé; provem-se a vocês mesmos. Sem dúvida que vocês reconhecerão que Jesus Cristo está em vocês, a não ser que já estejam reprovados nestes exames.6 De qualquer maneira, nós temos a esperança de que vocês reconheçam que nós não estamos reprovados.7 Pedimos a Deus que vocês não façam nada que seja mau. Não para que simplesmente pareçamos aprovados, mas para que vocês façam o bem, mesmo que pareça que nós estamos reprovados.8 Porque não podemos fazer nada contra a verdade, mas somente a favor da verdade.9 Pois nos alegramos quando nós estamos fracos, e vocês fortes. E isto é o que pedimos: que vocês cheguem a ser perfeitos.

10 Portanto, eu escrevo estas coisas enquanto estou longe, para que, quando estiver presente, não tenha que ser duro com vocês ao usar a autoridade que o Senhor me deu. Esta autoridade é para fortalecer e não para destruir.

11 Quanto ao mais, irmãos, adeus! Procurem ser perfeitos e ajudem-se uns aos outros. Tenham o mesmo modo de pensar, vivam em paz, e o Deus de amor e de paz estará com vocês.
12 Cumprimentem-se uns aos outros com beijo de irmãos.

13 Todo o povo de Deus lhes manda lembranças.

14 A graçat do Senhor Jesus Cristo, o amor de Deus e a comunhão do Espírito Santot estejam com todos vocês.

Examine Yourselves

1 This is the third time I am coming to you. EVERY FACT IS TO BE CONFIRMED BY THE TESTIMONY OF TWO OR THREE WITNESSES.2 I have previously said when present the second time, and though now absent I say in advance to those who have sinned in the past and to all the rest as well, that if I come again I will not spare anyone, 3 since you are seeking for proof of the Christ who speaks in me, and who is not weak toward you, but mighty in you.4 For indeed He was crucified because of weakness, yet He lives because of the power of God. For we also are weak tin Him, yet we will live with Him because of the power of God directed toward you.

5 Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you-unless indeed you fail the test?6 But I trust that you will realize that we ourselves do not fail the test.7 Now we pray to God that you do no wrong; not that we ourselves may appear approved, but that you may do what is right, even though we may appear unapproved.8 For we can do nothing against the truth, but only for the truth.9 For we rejoice when we ourselves are weak but you are strong; this we also pray for, that you be made complete.10 For this reason I am writing these things while absent, so that when present I need not use severity, in accordance with the authority which the Lord gave me for building up and not for tearing down.

11 Finally, brethren, rejoice, be made complete, be comforted, be like-minded, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.12 Greet one another with a holy kiss.13 All the saints greet you.

14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all.
