1 Павел и Силуан и Тимотей до Солунската църква в Бога Отца нашего и Господа Исуса Христа:2 Благодат вам и мир от Бога Отца нашего и Господа Исуса Христа.3 Длъжни сме, братие, да благодарим Бога всякога за вас както е достойно, защото вярата ви превъзрастява, и умножава се любовта на всекиго едного към другиго помежду всички вас;4 така щото и сами ние се хвалим с вас в църквите Божии за вашето търпение и за вярата ви във всичките гонения ваши и притесненията които претърпявате,5 което е доказателство на праведната съдба Божия, за да се сподобите в царството Божие за което и страдате;6 понеже е праведно у Бога да въздаде скърб на тези които ви оскърбяват,7 а на вас оскърбяемите да даде отрада наедно с нас когато се яви Господ Исус от небето с ангелите на своята сила,8 в огън пламенен да даде отмъщение на тези които не познават Бога, и които се не покоряват на евангелието на Господа нашего Исуса Христа;9 които ще приемат наказание, вечна погибел, от лицето Господне и от славата на неговата сила10 когато дойде да се прослави в своите светии, и да се покаже чуден между всичките вярващи (понеже вие повярвахте в нашето свидетелство) в онзи ден.11 Заради това и винаги се молим за вас, да ви сподоби Бог наш на призванието, и да изпълни всяко благоволение на благостта и всяко дело на вярата в сила;12 за да се прослави във вас името на Господа нашего Исуса Христа, и вие в него по благодатта на Бога нашего и Господа Исуса Христа.

Salutation

1 From Pault and Silvanus and Timothy, to the church of the Thessalonianss in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Grace and peace to yout from God thes Father and the Lord Jesus Christ!

Thanksgiving

3 We ought to thank God always for you, brothers and sisters,t and rightly so,t because your faith flourishes more and more and the love of each one of you all for one another is ever greater.

4 As a result we ourselves boast about you in the churches of God for your perseverance and faith in all the persecutions and afflictions you are enduring.

Encouragement in Persecution

5 This is evidence of God’s righteous judgment, to make you worthyt of the kingdom of God, for which in fact you are suffering.6 For it is rightt for God to repay with affliction those who afflict you,7 and to you who are being afflicted to give rest together with us when the Lord Jesus is revealedt from heaven with his mighty angels.t8 With flaming fire he will mete outtpunishment on those who do not know Gods and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.9 Theyt will undergo the penalty of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his strength,ts10 when he comes to be glorified among his saints and admiredt on that day among all who have believed – and you did in fact believe our testimony.t11 And in this regard we pray for you always, that our God will make you worthy of his callingt and fulfill by his power your every desire for goodness and every work of faith,

12 that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according tot the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
