دوم تسالونیکیان 1
مقدّمه
1 از طرف پولس و سیلوانس و تیموتاؤس به كلیسای تسالونیكیان كه به پدر ما خدا و عیسی مسیح خداوند تعلّق دارد.
2 خدای پدر و عیسی مسیح خداوند، فیض و آرامش به شما عنایت فرمایند.عقوبت در وقت آمدن مسیح
3 ای برادرانt، ما موظّفیم همواره خدا را بهخاطر شما سپاس گوییم. آری، شایسته است چنین كنیم؛ زیرا ایمان شما به طور عجیبی رشد میکند و محبّت شما به یكدیگر روز افزون است.
4 ما در كلیساهای خدا بهخاطر بردباری و ایمانتان در تحمّل آزارها و رنجها به وجود شما افتخار میکنیم.
5 این آزارها ثابت میکند كه خدا از روی انصاف داوری میکند و میخواهد كه شما شایستهٔ پادشاهی خدا كه بهخاطر آن رنج میبرید، بشوید. 6 خدا عادل است و به کسانیکه به شما آزار میرسانند، جزا خواهد داد 7 و به شما كه رنج و آزار میبینید و همچنین به ما آسودگی خواهد بخشید. این كار در روزی كه عیسی خداوند از آسمان با فرشتگان توانای خود 8 در آتشی فروزان ظهور كند، انجام خواهد گرفت و به آنانی كه خدا را نمیشناسند و انجیل خداوند ما عیسی را رد میکنند، كیفر خواهد داد. 9 آنان كیفر هلاكت جاودانی و دوری از حضور خداوند و محرومیّت از جلال قدرت او را خواهند دید.
10 در آن روزی كه او میآید، از مقدّسین خود جلال خواهد یافت و تمام ایمانداران از دیدن او متعجّب خواهند شد و شما نیز جزء آنها خواهید بود، زیرا به شهادت ما ایمان آوردید.
11 به این سبب است كه ما همیشه برای شما دعا میکنیم كه خدای ما، شما را شایستهٔ دعوت خود گرداند و همهٔ آرزوهای نیكوی شما را برآورد و فعالیّتهای شما را كه از ایمان سرچشمه میگیرد، با قدرت خود به كمال رساند، 12 تا نام خداوند ما عیسی مسیح در شما جلال یابد و شما نیز بر طبق فیض خدای ما و عیسی مسیح خداوند در او جلال یابید.
2 THESSALONIANS 1
1 t From Paul, Silas, t and Timothy.
To the church in Thessalonica, the people of God our Father and of the Lord Jesus Christ.
2 I pray that God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ will be kind to you and will bless you with peace!When Christ Returns
3 My dear friends, we always have good reason to thank God for you, because your faith in God and your love for each other keep growing all the time.
4 This is why we brag about you to all of God's churches. We tell them how patient you are and how you keep on having faith, even though you are going through a lot of trouble and suffering.
5 All this shows that God judges fairly and is making you fit to share in his kingdom for which you are suffering. 6 It is only right for God to punish everyone who is causing you trouble, 7 but he will give you relief from your troubles. God will do the same for us, when the Lord Jesus comes from heaven with his powerful angels
8 and with a flaming fire.
Our Lord Jesus will punish anyone who doesn't know God and won't obey his message. 9 t Their punishment will be eternal destruction, and they will be kept far from the presence of our Lord and his glorious strength.
10 This will happen on the day when the Lord returns to be praised and honored by all who have faith in him and belong to him. This includes you, because you believed what we said.
11 God chose you, and we keep praying that God will make you worthy of being his people. We pray for God's power to help you do all the good things you hope to do and your faith makes you want to do. 12 Then, because of the undeserved grace of God and our Lord Jesus Christ, you will bring honor to the name of our Lord Jesus, and he will bring honor to you.
