۲۔تھسلنیکیوں 1
1 یہ خط پولس، سلوانس اور تیمُتھیُس کی طرف سے ہے۔ ہم تھسلُنیکیوں کی جماعت کو لکھ رہے ہیں، اُنہیں جو اللہ ہمارے باپ اور خداوند عیسیٰ مسیح پر ایمان لائے ہیں۔2 خدا ہمارا باپ اور خداوند عیسیٰ مسیح آپ کو فضل اور سلامتی بخشیں۔3 بھائیو، واجب ہے کہ ہم ہر وقت آپ کے لئے خدا کا شکر کریں۔ ہاں، یہ موزوں ہے، کیونکہ آپ کا ایمان حیرت انگیز ترقی کر رہا ہے اور آپ سب کی ایک دوسرے سے محبت بڑھ رہی ہے۔4 یہی وجہ ہے کہ ہم اللہ کی دیگر جماعتوں میں آپ پر فخر کرتے ہیں۔ ہاں، ہم فخر کرتے ہیں کہ آپ اِن دنوں میں کتنی ثابت قدمی اور ایمان دکھا رہے ہیں حالانکہ آپ بہت ایذا رسانیاں اور مصیبتیں برداشت کر رہے ہیں۔5 یہ سب کچھ ثابت کرتا ہے کہ اللہ کی عدالت راست ہے، اور نتیجے میں آپ اُس کی بادشاہی کے لائق ٹھہریں گے، جس کے لئے آپ اب دُکھ اُٹھا رہے ہیں۔6 اللہ وہی کچھ کرے گا جو راست ہے۔ وہ اُنہیں مصیبتوں میں ڈال دے گا جو آپ کو مصیبت میں ڈال رہے ہیں،7 اور آپ کو جو مصیبت میں ہیں ہمارے سمیت آرام دے گا۔ وہ یہ اُس وقت کرے گا جب خداوند عیسیٰ اپنے قوی فرشتوں کے ساتھ آسمان پر سے آ کر ظاہر ہو گا8 اور بھڑکتی ہوئی آگ میں اُنہیں سزا دے گا جو نہ اللہ کو جانتے ہیں، نہ ہمارے خداوند عیسیٰ کی خوش خبری کے تابع ہیں۔9 ایسے لوگ ابدی ہلاکت کی سزا پائیں گے، وہ ہمیشہ تک خداوند کی حضوری اور اُس کی جلالی قدرت سے دُور ہو جائیں گے۔10 لیکن اُس دن خداوند اِس لئے بھی آئے گا کہ اپنے مُقدّسین میں جلال پائے اور تمام ایمان داروں میں حیرت کا باعث ہو۔ آپ بھی اُن میں شامل ہوں گے، کیونکہ آپ اُس پر ایمان لائے جس کی گواہی ہم نے آپ کو دی۔11 یہ پیشِ نظر رکھ کر ہم لگاتار آپ کے لئے دعا کرتے ہیں۔ ہمارا خدا آپ کو اُس بلاوے کے لائق ٹھہرائے جس کے لئے آپ کو بُلایا گیا ہے۔ اور وہ اپنی قدرت سے آپ کی نیکی کرنے کی ہر خواہش اور آپ کے ایمان کا ہر کام تکمیل تک پہنچائے۔12 کیونکہ اِس طرح ہی ہمارے خداوند عیسیٰ کا نام آپ میں جلال پائے گا اور آپ بھی اُس میں جلال پائیں گے، اُس فضل کے مطابق جو ہمارے خدا اور خداوند عیسیٰ مسیح نے آپ کو دیا ہے۔
2 Thessalonians 1
1 Paul, and Silvanus, and Timothy, unto the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ;2 Grace to you and peace from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.3 We are bound to give thanks to God always to you, brethren, even as it is meet, for that your faith growth exceedingly, and the love of each one of you all toward one another aboundeth;4 so that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and in the afflictions which ye endure;5 which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God; to the end that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:6 if so be that it is a righteous thing with God to recompense affliction to them that afflict you,7 and to you that are afflicted rest with us, at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with the angels of his power in flaming fire,8 rendering vengeance to them that know not God, and to them that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus:9 who shall suffer punishment, even eternal destruction from the face of the Lord and from the glory of his might,10 when he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be marvelled at in all them that believed (because our testimony unto you was believed) in that day.11 To which end we also pray always for you, that our God may count you worthy of your calling, and fulfil every desire of goodness and every work of faith, with power;12 that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
