۲تیموتائوس 1

1 پولس به اراده خدا رسول مسیح عیسی، برحسب وعده حیاتی که در مسیح عیسی است،2 فرزند حبیب خود تیموتاوس را.فیض و رحمت و سلامتی از جانب خدای پدرو خداوند ما عیسی مسیح باد.3 شکر میکنم آن خدایی را که از اجداد خودبه ضمیر خالص بندگی او را میکنم، چونکه دائم در دعاهای خود تو را شبانهروز یاد میکنم،4 و مشتاق ملاقات تو هستم چونکه اشکهای تورا بخاطر میدارم تا از خوشی سیر شوم.5 زیرا که یاد میدارم ایمان بیریای تو را که نخست درجده ات لوئیس و مادرت افنیکی ساکن میبود ومرا یقین است که در تو نیز هست.6 لهذا بیاد تومی آورم که آن عطای خدا را که بوسیله گذاشتن دستهای من بر تو است برافروزی.7 زیرا خداروح جبن را به ما نداده است بلکه روح قوت ومحبت و تادیب را.8 پس از شهادت خداوند ما عار مدار و نه ازمن که اسیر او میباشم، بلکه در زحمات انجیل شریک باش برحسب قوت خدا،9 که ما را نجات داد و به دعوت مقدس خواند نه به حسب اعمال ما بلکه برحسب اراده خود و آن فیضی که قبل ازقدیم الایام در مسیح عیسی به ما عطا شد.10 اماالحال آشکار گردید به ظهور نجاتدهنده ماعیسی مسیح که موت را نیست ساخت و حیات وبی فسادی را روشن گردانید بوسیله انجیل،11 که برای آن من واعظ و رسول و معلم امتها مقررشدهام.12 و از این جهت این زحمات را میکشم بلکه عار ندارم چون میدانم به که ایمان آوردم ومرا یقین است که او قادر است که امانت مرا تا به آن روز حفظ کند.13 نمونهای بگیر از سخنان صحیح که از من شنیدی در ایمان و محبتی که در مسیح عیسی است.14 آن امانت نیکو را بوسیله روحالقدس که در ما ساکن است، حفظ کن.15 از این آگاه هستی که همه آنانی که در آسیا هستند، از من رخ تافتهاند که از آنجمله فیجلس و هرموجنس میباشند.16 خداوند اهل خانه انیسیفورس را ترحم کناد زیرا که او بارها دل مرا تازه کرد و از زنجیر من عار نداشت،17 بلکه چون به روم رسید، مرا به کوشش بسیار تفحص کرده، پیدا نمود.18 (خداوند بدو عطا کناد که در آن روز در حضورخداوند رحمت یابد. ) و خدمتهایی را که درافسس کرد تو بهتر میدانی.

2 TIMOTHY 1

1 From Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus.
God himself chose me to be an apostle, and he gave me the promised life that Jesus Christ makes possible.

2  t Timothy, you are like a dear child to me. I pray that God our Father and our Lord Christ Jesus will be kind and merciful to you and will bless you with peace!

Do Not Be Ashamed //of the Lord

7 God's Spiritt doesn't make cowards out of us. The Spirit gives us power, love, and self-control.

8 Don't be ashamed to speak for our Lord. And don't be ashamed of me, just because I am in jail for serving him. Use the power that comes from God and join with me in suffering for telling the good news.

9 God saved us and chose us
to be his holy people.
We did nothing
to deserve this,
but God planned it
because he is so kind.
Even before time began
God planned for Christ Jesus
to show kindness to us.

10 Now Christ Jesus has come
to offer us God's gift
of undeserved grace.
Christ our Savior defeated death
and brought us
the good news.
It shines like a light
and offers life
that never ends.
11  t My work is to be a preacher, an apostle, and a teacher.t 12 This is why I am suffering now. But I am not ashamed! I know the one I have faith in, and I am sure he can guard until the last day what he has trusted me with.t 13 Now follow the example of the correct teaching I gave you, and let the faith and love of Christ Jesus be your model.

14 You have been trusted with a wonderful treasure. Guard it with the help of the Holy Spirit, who lives within us.

15 You know that everyone in Asia has turned against me, especially Phygelus and Hermogenes.
16 I pray that the Lord will be kind to the family of Onesiphorus. He often cheered me up and wasn't ashamed of me when I was put in jail. 17 Then after he arrived in Rome, he searched everywhere until he found me. 18 I pray that the Lord Jesus will ask God to show mercy to Onesiphorus on the day of judgment. You know how much he helped me in Ephesus.
