2 Тимотей 1

1 Павел, с волята Божия апостол Исус Христов по обещанието на живота който е в Христа Исуса,2 на Тимотея, възлюбленото чадо: Благодат, милост, мир от Бога Отца и Христа Исуса Господа нашего.3 Благодаря Богу, комуто от прародители още служа с чиста съвест, че непрестанно те поменувам в молбите си ден и нощ,4 и като помня сълзите ти желая да те видя за да се изпълня с радост;5 понеже си докарвам на памет нелицемерната в тебе вяра, която изпърво обитаваше в баба ти Лоида и в майка ти Евникия, а уверен съм че и в тебе.6 По тази причина ти напомням да разпаляш Божието дарование което е в тебе от възлагането на моите ръце.7 Защото Бог не даде нам дух на боязън, но дух на сила и любов и целомъдрие.8 И тъй, не се срамувай от свидетелството на Господа нашего, нито от мене неговия узник, но стани участник в злостраданията на евангелието по силата от Бога,9 който е спасил нас и призвал със свето призвание, не според делата ни, но по своето предложение и по дадената нам преди вечните времена благодат в Христа Исуса,10 а която се откри нине чрез явлението на Спаса нашего Исуса Христа, който унищожи смъртта, и осия живота и безсмъртието чрез евангелието;11 на което бидох поставен аз проповедник и апостол и учител на езичниците;12 за която причина и страдам това. Но не се срамувам; защото зная в кого съм повярвал, и уверен съм че е силен да упази залога мой до онзи ден.13 Дръж примера на здравите думи които си чул от мене във вяра и любов която е в Христа Исуса.14 Добрия залог упази чрез Духа Светаго който живее в нас.15 Ти знаеш това, че всички които са в Азия отвърнаха се от мене, от които е Фигел и Ермоген.16 Господ да даде милост на дома Онисифоров; защото много пъти ме упокои, и не се усрами от оковите ми,17 но когато дойде в Рим потърси ме с по-голямо старание и намери ме.18 Господ да му даде да намери милост пред Господа в онзи ден; а колко ми послужи в Ефес, ти знаеш твърде добре.

Salutation

1 From Paul,t an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, to further the promiset of life in Christ Jesus,

2 to Timothy, my dear child. Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord!

Thanksgiving and Charge to Timothy

3 I am thankful to God, whom I have served with a clear conscience as my ancestors did,t when I remember you in my prayers as I do constantly night and day.t4 As I remember your tears, I long to see you,t so that I may be filled with joy.

5 I recallt your sincere faitht that was alive first in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice, and I am suret is in you.
6 Because of this I remind you to rekindle God’s gift that you possesst through the laying on of my hands.7 For God did not give us a Spiritt of fear but of power and love and self-control.8 So do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lordt or of me, a prisoner for his sake, but byt God’s power accept your share of sufferingt for the gospel.9 He is the one who saved ust and called us with a holy calling, not based ont our works but on his own purpose and grace, granted to us in Christ Jesus before time began,t10 but now made visible through the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus. Het has broken the power of death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel!11 For this gospelt I was appointed a preacher and apostle and teacher.s12 Because of this, in fact, I suffer as I do.t But I am not ashamed, because I know the one in whom my faith is sett and I am convinced that he is able to protect what has been entrusted to mes until that day.s13 Hold to the standardt of sound words that you heard from me and do so with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.ts

14 Protect that good things entrusted to you, through the Holy Spirit who lives within us.
15 You know that everyone in the province of Asiat deserted me, including Phygelus and Hermogenes.16 May the Lord grant mercy to the family of Onesiphorus, because he often refreshed me and was not ashamed of my imprisonment.t17 But when he arrived in Rome,s he eagerly searched for me and found me.

18 May the Lord grant him to find mercy from the Lord on that day!s And you know very well all the ways he served me in Ephesus.ts
