テモテヘの第二の手紙 3

三

1 テモテよ。　これから書くことを、よく心にとめておきなさい。　終末の時代には、クリスチャンになることが非常にむずかしくなります。　2 自分だけを愛し、また、お金だけがすべてだと考える風潮が、はびこるからです。　高慢な者、大風呂敷を広げる者、神様をあざける者、両親にそっぽを向き、感謝することを知らない者、手がつけられない、ならず者が現われます。　3 また、頑固で、決して他人を理解しようとしない者、うそつきの常習犯で、問題ばかり起こし、頭はみだらな思いでいっぱい、といった連中が増えます。　彼らは乱暴で残忍な行動をし、善良であろうとする人をあざ笑います。　4 友を裏切り、怒りっぽく、すぐに思い上がり、神様を礼拝するひまがあったら、もっとおもしろいことをして過ごそうと考えます。　5 教会に出席する者がいたとしても、聞いたことを何一つ信じようとしないのです。　目をしっかり開けて、そんな人たちには近寄らないようにしなさい。
6 中には、うまく他人の家に入り込み、だらしのない愚かな女たちにつけ入って、新しい教えを吹き込む者がいます。　7 このような女は、目新しい教師にはすぐ飛びつきますが、いつまでたっても真理がわかりません。　8 また、こうした教師も、モーセに逆らった、ヤンネとヤンブレのように、真理に逆らっているのです。　その心は汚れ、ねじけていて、クリスチャンの信仰に刃向かってくるのです。
9 しかし、いつまでもそんなことが続くわけではありません。　ヤンネとヤンブレの罪がだれの目にも明らかになったように、いつかは、彼らの、うそでこり固まった行為も、明白になるのです。
10 私がそんな人間でないことは、わかってもらえるはずです。　あなたは、私が何を信じ、何を望み、どのように生活しているか、よく知っています。　キリスト様に対する私の信仰も、苦しみも、そして、あなたへの愛と忍耐も知っています。　11 神様の良い知らせを伝えたために、私がどれだけ痛めつけられたかも知っています。　アンテオケ、イコニオム、ルステラで受けた迫害の一部始終も、知っているはずです。　しかし主は、私を守ってくださいました。　12 確かに、キリスト・イエスのお考えにそって、神様を敬う生活を送ろうとする人はみな、敵対する者から苦しめられ、迫害されます。　13 しかし、大ぜいの人をだます悪人や偽教師は、自分も悪魔にだまされて、ますます悪の深みにはまり込むのです。
14 けれども、あなたは、真理を教えた私たちを信頼していなさい。　15 また、小さな子供のころから、自分がどのように聖書を教えられてきたか、覚えているでしょう。　この聖書こそ、キリスト・イエスを信じることによって救われるための知恵を、与えてくれたのです。16 全体が神様の霊感によって書かれた聖書は、何が真理であり、何が悪であるかをよく教えてくれます。　また、私たちの生活をまっすぐにし、正しいことを行なう力を与えてくれます。　17 こうして神様は、私たちをあらゆる点で整え、すべての人に善を行なう力を、十分に授けてくださるのです。

2 Timothy 3

1 But know this, that in the last days grievous times shall come.2 For men shall be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, haughty, railers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,3 without natural affection, implacable, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, no lovers of good,4 traitors, headstrong, puffed up, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God;5 holding a form of godliness, but having denied the power therefore. From these also turn away.6 For of these are they that creep into houses, and take captive silly women laden with sins, led away by divers lusts,7 ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.8 And even as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also withstand the truth. Men corrupted in mind, reprobate concerning the faith.9 But they shall proceed no further. For their folly shall be evident unto all men, as theirs also came to be.10 But thou didst follow my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, patience,11 persecutions, sufferings. What things befell me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured. And out of them all the Lord delivered me.12 Yea, and all that would live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.13 But evil men and impostors shall wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.14 But abide thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them.15 And that from a babe thou hast known the sacred writings which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.16 Every scripture inspired of God is also profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction which is in righteousness.17 That the man of God may be complete, furnished completely unto every good work.
