Răutatea oamenilor în zilele din urmă

1 Să știi că în zilele de pe urmă vor fi vremuri grele.2 Căci oamenii vor fi iubitori de sine, iubitori de bani, lăudăroși, aroganți, blasfemiatori, neascultători de părinți, nemulțumitori, lipsiți de sfințenie,3 fără afecțiune, neînduplecați, acuzatori, neînfrânați, sălbatici, neiubitori de bine,4 trădători, nechibzuiți, încrezuți, iubitori mai degrabă de plăceri decât de Dumnezeu,5 având doar o formă de evlavie, dar negându-i puterea. Îndepărtează-te de astfel de oameni!6 Între aceștia sunt cei care se furișează în case, pun stăpânire pe femeile ușuratice, împovărate de păcate și călăuzite de diferite pofte,7 care întotdeauna învață, dar nu pot ajunge la cunoașterea adevărului.8 Așa cum Iane și Iambret i s-au împotrivit lui Moise, tot astfel și acești oameni cu minți pervertite se împotrivesc adevărului, fiind descalificați în ce privește credința.9 Dar ei nu vor mai înainta mult, pentru că, la fel ca în cazul celor doi, nebunia lor va fi arătată tuturor.

Îndemnuri pentru Timotei

10 Însă tu ai urmărit îndeaproape învățătura mea, purtarea mea, scopul meu în viață, credința mea, răbdarea mea, dragostea mea, fermitatea mea,11 persecuțiile și suferințele, lucrurile care mi s-au întâmplat în Antiohia, în Iconia, în Listra – toate persecuțiile pe care le-am îndurat; dar Domnul m-a scăpat din toate.12 Toți cei ce vor să trăiască o viață evlavioasă în Cristos Isus vor fi persecutați,13 în timp ce oamenii răi și înșelători vor merge din rău în mai rău, înșelându-i pe alții și înșelându-se pe ei înșiși.14 Însă tu să rămâi în lucrurile pe care le-ai învățat și de care ești deplin încredințat, fiindcă știi de la cine le-ai învățat.15 Din copilărie cunoști Sfintele Scripturi, care-ți pot da înțelepciunea ce duce la mântuire prin credința în Cristos Isus.16 Toată Scriptura este inspirată de Dumnezeu și de folos pentru învățătură, pentru mustrare, pentru îndreptare, pentru instruire în dreptate,17 pentru ca omul lui Dumnezeu să fie desăvârșit și pe deplin echipat pentru orice lucrare bună.

What People Will Be Like //in the Last Days

1 You can be certain that in the last days there will be some very hard times. 2 People will love only themselves and money. They will be proud, stuck-up, rude, and disobedient to their parents. They will also be ungrateful, godless, 3 heartless, and hateful. Their words will be cruel, and they will have no self-control or pity. These people will hate everything good. 4 They will be sneaky, reckless, and puffed up with pride. Instead of loving God, they will love pleasure.

5 Even though they will make a show of being religious, their religion won't be real. Don't have anything to do with such people.
6 Some men fool whole families, just to get power over those women who are slaves of sin and are controlled by all sorts of desires. 7 These women always want to learn something new, but they never can discover the truth. 8 t Just as Jannes and Jambrest opposed Moses, these people are enemies of the truth. Their minds are sick, and their faith isn't real.

9 But they won't get very far with their foolishness. Soon everyone will know the truth about them, just as Jannes and Jambres were found out.

Paul's Last Instructions //to Timothy

13 But evil people who pretend to be what they are not will become worse than ever, as they fool others and are fooled themselves.
14 Keep on being faithful to what you were taught and to what you believed. After all, you know who taught you these things. 15 Since childhood, you have known the Holy Scriptures that are able to make you wise enough to have faith in Christ Jesus and be saved. 16 Everything in the Scriptures is God's Word. All of it is useful for teaching and helping people and for correcting them and showing them how to live. 17 The Scriptures train God's servants to do all kinds of good deeds.
