Los últimos días

1 Recuerda que en los últimos días llegarán tiempos difíciles.2 La gente se volverá egoísta, amante del dinero, fanfarrona y orgullosa. Se insultarán unos a otros, no obedecerán a sus padres, no darán ni las gracias y serán mundanos.3 No sentirán afecto por los demás ni estarán dispuestos a perdonarlos. Hablarán con maldad, estarán fuera de control, serán crueles y odiarán el bien.4 En esos mismos días, la gente traicionará a sus amigos, actuará sin pensar, se enorgullecerá de lo que sabe y en vez de amar a Dios, amará los placeres.

5 Parecerán ser muy religiosos, pero con su manera de vivir demostrarán que en realidad rechazan servir a Dios; no te metas con esa gente.
6 Algunos de ellos entran a las casas y convencen a mujeres débiles llenas de pecado, que se dejan llevar por toda clase de malos deseos.7 Aunque ellas siempre tratan de aprender, nunca terminan de entender la verdad.8 Ellos están en contra de la verdad, como Janes y Jambres,t quienes estaban en contra de Moisést. Tienen mentes retorcidas y han fracasado en la fe.

9 Pero no tendrán éxito en lo que hacen y así todos verán lo tontos que son, como pasó con Janes y Jambres.

Instrucciones finales

10 Pero tú me conoces, sabes lo que enseño y cómo vivo. Sabes también el propósito de mi vida, que tengo fe, paciencia y amor, y que no me doy por vencido ante11 la persecución ni el sufrimiento. Te enteraste de la clase de persecuciones que sufrí en Antioquía, Iconio y Listra y de cómo el Señor me salvó de todo eso.12 Pues todo el que pertenezca a Jesucristo y quiera vivir dedicado a Dios será perseguido,

13 pero los perversos y los engañadores irán de mal en peor, engañarán y serán engañados.
14 Pero tú sigue practicando las enseñanzas que has aprendido. Sabes que son ciertas porque conoces a quienes te las enseñaron.15 Desde niño conoces las Sagradas Escriturast que te pueden hacer sabio. Esa sabiduría te lleva a la salvación a través de la fe en Jesucristo.16 Toda la Escritura es un mensaje enviado por Dios, y es útil para enseñar, reprender, corregir y mostrar a la gente cómo vivir de la manera que Dios manda,

17 para que el siervo de Dios esté listo y completamente capacitado para toda buena obra.

2 Timothy 3

"Difficult Times Will Come"

1 But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come.2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,3 unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good,4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,5 holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these.6 For among them are those who enter into households and captivate weak women weighed down with sins, led on by various impulses,7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.8 Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men of depraved mind, rejected in regard to the faith.9 But they will not make further progress; for their folly will be obvious to all, just as Jannes's and Jambres's folly was also.

10 Now you followed my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, patience, love, perseverance,11 persecutions, and sufferings, such as happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium and at Lystra; what persecutions I endured, and out of them all the Lord rescued me!12 Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.13 But evil men and impostors will proceed from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.14 You, however, continue in the things you have learned and become convinced of, knowing from whom you have learned them, 15 and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.16 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;17 so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.
