2 Timothy 4

第4章

1 神のみまえと、生きている者と死んだ者とをさばくべきキリスト・イエスのみまえで、キリストの出現とその御国とを思い、おごそかに命じる。2 御言を宣べ伝えなさい。時が良くても悪くても、それを励み、あくまでも寛容な心でよく教えて、責め、戒め、勧めなさい。3 人々が健全な教に耐えられなくなり、耳ざわりのよい話をしてもらおうとして、自分勝手な好みにまかせて教師たちを寄せ集め、4 そして、真理からは耳をそむけて、作り話の方にそれていく時が来るであろう。5 しかし、あなたは、何事にも慎み、苦難を忍び、伝道者のわざをなし、自分の務を全うしなさい。6 わたしは、すでに自身を犠牲としてささげている。わたしが世を去るべき時はきた。7 わたしは戦いをりっぱに戦いぬき、走るべき行程を走りつくし、信仰を守りとおした。8 今や、義の冠がわたしを待っているばかりである。かの日には、公平な審判者である主が、それを授けて下さるであろう。わたしばかりではなく、主の出現を心から待ち望んでいたすべての人にも授けて下さるであろう。9 わたしの所に、急いで早くきてほしい。10 デマスはこの世を愛し、わたしを捨ててテサロニケに行ってしまい、クレスケンスはガラテヤに、テトスはダルマテヤに行った。11 ただルカだけが、わたしのもとにいる。マルコを連れて、一緒にきなさい。彼はわたしの務のために役に立つから。12 わたしはテキコをエペソにつかわした。13 あなたが来るときに、トロアスのカルポの所に残しておいた上着を持ってきてほしい。また書物も、特に、羊皮紙のを持ってきてもらいたい。14 銅細工人のアレキサンデルが、わたしを大いに苦しめた。主はそのしわざに対して、彼に報いなさるだろう。15 あなたも、彼を警戒しなさい。彼は、わたしたちの言うことに強く反対したのだから。16 わたしの第一回の弁明の際には、わたしに味方をする者はひとりもなく、みなわたしを捨てて行った。どうか、彼らが、そのために責められることがないように。17 しかし、わたしが御言を余すところなく宣べ伝えて、すべての異邦人に聞かせるように、主はわたしを助け、力づけて下さった。そして、わたしは、ししの口から救い出されたのである。18 主はわたしを、すべての悪のわざから助け出し、天にある御国に救い入れて下さるであろう。栄光が永遠から永遠にわたって主にあるように、アァメン。19 プリスカとアクラとに、またオネシポロの家に、よろしく伝えてほしい。20 エラストはコリントにとどまっており、トロピモは病気なので、ミレトに残してきた。21 冬になる前に、急いできてほしい。ユブロ、プデス、リノス、クラウデヤならびにすべての兄弟たちから、あなたによろしく。22 主が、あなたの霊と共にいますように。恵みが、あなたがたと共にあるように。

2 Timothy 4

Charge to Timothy Repeated

1 I solemnly charge you before God and Christ Jesus, who is going to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom:2 Preach the message,t be readyt whether it is convenient or not,t reprove, rebuke, exhortt with complete patience and instruction.3 For there will be a time when peoplet will not tolerate sound teaching. Instead, following their own desires,t they will accumulate teachers for themselves, because they have an insatiable curiosity to hear new things.t4 And they will turn away from hearing the truth, but on the other hand they will turn aside to myths.s5 You, however, be self-controlledt in all things, endure hardship, do an evangelist’s work, fulfill your ministry.6 For I am already being poured out as an offering, and the time for me to departt is at hand.7 I have competed well;s I have finished the race; I have kept the faith!

8 Finally the crown of righteousness is reserved for me. The Lord, the righteous Judge, will award it to me in that day – and not to me only, but also to all who have set their affection ont his appearing.

9 Make every effort to come to me soon.10 For Demas deserted me, since he lovedt the present age, and he went to Thessalonica.s Crescens went to Galatia and Titus to Dalmatia.11 Only Luke is with me. Get Mark and bring him with you, because he is a great helpt to me in ministry.t12 Now I have sent Tychicus to Ephesus.s13 When you come, bring with you the cloak I left in Troas with Carpas and the scrolls, especially the parchments.14 Alexander the coppersmith did me a great deal of harm.tThe Lord will repay him in keeping with his deeds.s15 You be on guard against himt too, because he vehemently opposed our words.16 At my first defense no one appeared in my support; instead they all deserted me – may they not be held accountable for it.17 But the Lord stood by me and strengthened me, so that through me the messaget would be fully proclaimedt for all the Gentiles to hear. And so I was delivered from the lion’s mouth!

18 The Lord will deliver me from every evil deed and will bring me safelyt into his heavenly kingdom. To himt be glory for ever and ever!t Amen.
