4 เมื่อ_พระองค์_กำลัง_กิน_อาหาร_กับ_พวก_ศิษย์_เอก พระองค์_สั่ง_พวก_เขา_ว่า “ห้าม_ไป_ไหน ให้_คอย_อยู่_ที่_เมือง_เยรูซาเล็ม_ก่อน จน_กว่า_จะ_ได้_รับ_สิ่ง_ที่_พระ_บิดา_สัญญา_ไว้ ตาม_ที่_เรา_เคย_บอก_พวก_คุณ_แล้ว

5 ยอห์น_ทำ_พิธีจุ่ม_ให้_คน_ด้วย_น้ำ แต่_อีก_ไม่_กี่_วัน_พวก_คุณ_ก็_จะ_ได้_รับ_การ_จุ่ม_ด้วย_พระ_วิญญาณ_บริสุทธิ์”

พระ_เยซู_กลับ_สู่_สวรรค์

6 เมื่อ_พระ_เยซู_กับ_พวก_ศิษย์_เอก_มา_อยู่_กัน_พร้อม_หน้า พวก_ศิษย์_เอก_ถาม_พระองค์_ว่า “พระองค์_เจ้า_ข้า ตอน_นี้_พระองค์_กำลัง_จะ_คืน_แผ่นดิน_ให้_กับ_อิสราเอล_แล้ว_ใช่_ไหม_ครับ”

7 พระองค์_ตอบ_ว่า “มัน_ไม่_ใช่_เรื่อง_ของ_พวก_คุณ พระบิดา_เอง_ได้_ตัดสิน_วัน_เวลา_นั้น_ไว้_ก่อน_แล้ว

8 เมื่อ_พระ_วิญญาณ_บริสุทธิ์_มา_อยู่_กับ_พวก_คุณ พวก_คุณ_ก็_จะ_ได้_รับ_ฤทธิ์_เดช และ_จะ_เป็น_พยาน_เล่า_เรื่อง_ของ_เรา_ให้_คน_ฟัง ทั่ว_เมือง_เยรูซาเล็ม ใน_แคว้น_ยูเดีย ใน_แคว้น_สะมาเรีย และ_ทุก_หน_แห่ง_ใน_โลก_นี้”

9 เมื่อ_พระ_เยซู_พูด_เสร็จ พระเจ้า_ก็_ได้_รับ_พระองค์_ขึ้น_ไป_สวรรค์_ต่อหน้า_ต่อตา_พวก_เขา แล้ว_ก้อน_เมฆ_ก็_บัง_พระองค์_จาก_สายตา_ของ_พวก_เขา

10 ใน_ขณะ_ที่_พวก_เขา_กำลัง_เพ่ง_ดู_พระองค์_จาก_ไป_ใน_ท้องฟ้า_นั้น จู่ๆ_ก็_มี_ชาย_ชุด_ขาว_สอง_คน_มา_ยืน_อยู่_ข้างๆ_พวก_เขา

11 แล้ว_พูด_ว่า “ชาว_กาลิลี พวก_คุณ_ยัง_ยืน_เพ่ง_ดู_ท้องฟ้า_อยู่_ทำ_ไม พระเจ้า_รับ_พระ_เยซู_ขึ้น_ไป_บน_สวรรค์_แล้ว และ_พระองค์_จะ_กลับ_มา_อีก_ครั้ง เหมือน_อย่าง_ที่_พวก_คุณ_เห็น_พระองค์_ถูก_รับ_ขึ้น_ไป_นี่_แหละ”

เลือก_ศิษย์_คน_ใหม่_แทน_ยูดาส

12 จาก_นั้น_พวก_เขา_ก็_ลง_จาก_ภูเขา_มะกอกเทศ กลับ_ไป_ที่_เมือง_เยรูซาเล็ม ซึ่ง_อยู่_ห่าง_ออก_ไป_ประมาณ_หนึ่ง_กิโลเมตรt

13 เมื่อ_มา_ถึง_เมือง_เยรูซาเล็ม พวก_ศิษย์_ซึ่ง_มี_เปโตร ยอห์น ยากอบ_กับ_อันดรูว์ ฟีลิป_กับ_โธมัส บารโธโลมิว_กับ_มัทธิว ยากอบ_บุตร_ชาย_ของ_อัลเฟอัส ซีโมน_ผู้_มี_ใจ_จดจ่อ_กับ_พระเจ้า กับ_ยูดาส_ลูกชาย_ยากอบ ก็_ได้_ขึ้น_ไป_ห้อง_ชั้น_บน_ที่_พวก_เขา_เคย_อยู่

14 พวก_เขา_ทั้ง_สิบ_เอ็ด_คน รวม_ทั้ง_ผู้หญิง_บางคน_และ_มารีย์_แม่_ของ_พระ_เยซู ตลอด_จน_น้องๆ_ของ_พระองค์ ก็_มา_พบ_กัน_เพื่อ_อธิษฐาน_อยู่_เสมอ

15 มี_อยู่_วัน_หนึ่ง เปโตร_ยืน_ขึ้น_ใน_กลุ่ม_ศิษย์_ที่_มา_พบ_กัน ซึ่ง_มี_อยู่_ประมาณ_หนึ่ง_ร้อย_ยี่สิบ_คน แล้ว_เขา_พูด_ว่า

16 “พี่_น้อง_ทั้ง_หลาย ข้อ_ความ_ใน_พระคัมภีร์ จะ_ต้อง_เป็น_จริง_ตาม_ที่_พระ_วิญญาณ_บริสุทธิ์ ได้_พูด_ผ่าน_ทาง_ปาก_ของ_กษัตริย์_ดาวิด เมื่อ_นาน_มา_แล้ว_เกี่ยว_กับ_ยูดาส_ที่_นำ_คน_พวก_นั้น_ไป_จับ_พระ_เยซู

17 ยูดาส_เป็น_คน_หนึ่ง_ใน_กลุ่ม_ของ_พวก_เรา_และ_มี_ส่วนร่วม_ใน_การ_งาน_นี้_ด้วย”

18 (ยูดาส เอา_เงิน_ที่_ได้_จาก_การ_ทำ_ชั่ว_ครั้ง_นี้_ไป_ซื้อ_ที่ดิน_ไว้ แต่_เขา_หกล้ม_หัว_ฟาด_พื้น พุง_แตก_ไส้_ทะลัก_ตาย_บน_ที่ดิน_นั้น

19 เรื่อง_นี้_รู้_กัน_ทั่ว_เมือง_เยรูซาเล็ม พวก_เขา_จึง_เรียก_ที่ดิน_ตรง_นั้น_ตาม_ภาษา_ท้องถิ่น_ว่า อาเคลดามา ซึ่ง_หมายถึง “ที่ดิน_เลือด”)

20 เปโตร_พูด_ต่อว่า “เรื่อง_นี้_มี_เขียน_ไว้_แล้ว_ใน_หนังสือ_สดุดี_ว่า

‘ขอ_ให้_ที่_อยู่_ของ_เขา_รกร้าง_ว่างเปล่า
อย่า_มี_ใคร_เข้า_ไป_อยู่_เลย’ (สดุดี 69:25) และ
‘ให้_มี_คน_อื่น_มา_รับ_ตำแหน่ง_ผู้นำ_แทน_เขา_ด้วย’ (สดุดี 109:8)

21 ดัง_นั้น เรา_จำเป็น_จะ_ต้อง_เลือก_ชาย_คน_หนึ่ง_ขึ้น_มา_แทน_ยูดาส และ_เขา_จะ_ต้อง_เป็น_คน_ที่_อยู่_กับ_เรา_ตลอด_เวลา ใน_ช่วง_ที่_พวก_เรา_ติดสอย_ห้อยตาม_พระ_เยซู_ด้วย

22 เริ่ม_ตั้ง_แต่_ยอห์น_ทำ_พิธี_จุ่ม_น้ำ จน_ถึง_วัน_ที่_พระเจ้า_รับ_พระ_เยซู_ขึ้น_ไป_สวรรค์ คน_คน_นี้_จะ_ต้อง_เป็น_พยาน_ร่วม_กับ_พวก_เรา ที่_จะ_บอก_ให้_คน_อื่นๆ_รู้_ว่า พระ_เยซู_ฟื้น_จาก_ความ_ตาย_แล้ว”

23 พวก_เขา_จึง_ได้_เสนอ_ชื่อ_ชาย_สอง_คน_คือ โยเซฟ บารซับบาส (หรือ_ที่_รู้จัก_กัน_ว่า_ยุสทัส) และ_อีก_คน_คือ_มัทธีอัส

24 แล้ว_พวก_เขา_ก็_อธิษฐาน_ว่า “พระองค์_เจ้า_ข้า พระองค์_รู้จัก_จิต_ใจ_ของ_มนุษย์_ทุก_คน_ดี ช่วย_แสดง_ให้_พวก_เรา_เห็น_ว่า ใน_สอง_คน_นี้ พระองค์_ได้_เลือก_ใคร

25 ให้_มา_ทำ_หน้าที่_รับใช้_เป็น_ศิษย์_เอก_แทน_ยูดาส_คน_ที่_ละทิ้ง_หน้าที่ และ_ได้_ไป_อยู่_ใน_ที่_ที่_เขา_สมควร_ไป_อยู่_แล้ว”

26 แล้ว_พวก_เขา_ก็_จับ_สลาก_กัน และ_ได้_ชื่อ มัทธีอัส เขา_จึง_ถูก_นับ_รวม_เข้า_กับ_ศิษย์_เอก_ทั้ง_สิบ_เอ็ด_คน_นั้น_ด้วย

Acts 1

Introduction

1 The first account I composed, Theophilus, about all that Jesus began to do and teach,2 until the day when He was taken up to heaven, after He had by the Holy Spirit given orders to the apostles whom He had chosen.3 To these He also presented Himself alive after His suffering, by many convincing proofs, appearing to them over a period of forty days and speaking of the things concerning the kingdom of God.4 Gathering them together, He commanded them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for what the Father had promised, "Which," He said, "you heard of from Me;5 for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now."

6 So when they had come together, they were asking Him, saying, "Lord, is it at this time You are restoring the kingdom to Israel?"7 He said to them, "It is not for you to know times or epochs which the Father has fixed by His own authority;8 but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth."

The Ascension

9 And after He had said these things, He was lifted up while they were looking on, and a cloud received Him out of their sight.10 And as they were gazing intently into the sky while He was going, behold, two men in white clothing stood beside them.11 They also said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in just the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven."

The Upper Room

12 Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day's journey away.13 When they had entered the city, they went up to the upper room where they were staying; that is, Peter and John and James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon the Zealot, and Judas the son of James.14 These all with one mind were continually devoting themselves to prayer, along with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.

15 At this time Peter stood up in the midst of the brethren (a gathering of about one hundred and twenty persons was there together), and said,16 "Brethren, the Scripture had to be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit foretold by the mouth of David concerning Judas, who became a guide to those who arrested Jesus.17 For he was counted among us and received his share in this ministry."18 (Now this man acquired a field with the price of his wickedness, and falling headlong, he burst open in the middle and all his intestines gushed out.19 And it became known to all who were living in Jerusalem; so that in their own language that field was called Hakeldama, that is, Field of Blood.)

20 "For it is written in the book of Psalms,
'LET HIS HOMESTEAD BE MADE DESOLATE,
AND LET NO ONE DWELL IN IT';
and,
'LET ANOTHER MAN TAKE HIS OFFICE.'21 Therefore it is necessary that of the men who have accompanied us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us-22 beginning with the baptism of John until the day that He was taken up from us-one of these must become a witness with us of His resurrection."23 So they put forward two men, Joseph called Barsabbas (who was also called Justus), and Matthias.24 And they prayed and said, "You, Lord, who know the hearts of all men, show which one of these two You have chosen25 to occupy this ministry and apostleship from which Judas turned aside to go to his own place."26 And they drew lots for them, and the lot fell to Matthias; and he was added to the eleven apostles.
