2 แต่_เขา_แอบ_เก็บ_เงิน_เอา_ไว้_บาง_ส่วน และ_ภรรยา_ของ_เขา_ก็_เห็น_ด้วย จาก_นั้น_เขา_จึง_นำ_เงิน_ส่วน_ที่_เหลือ_มา_ให้_กับ_พวก_ศิษย์_เอก

3 เปโตร_ต่อว่า_อานาเนีย_ว่า “ทำ_ไม_คุณ_ถึง_ยอม_ให้_ซาตาน_ครอบงำ_จิต_ใจ คุณ_โกหก_ต่อ_พระ_วิญญาณ_บริสุทธิ์ และ_เก็บ_เงิน_ส่วน_หนึ่ง_ที่_ได้_จาก_การ_ขาย_ที่ดิน_เอา_ไว้_เอง_ด้วย

4 ที่ดิน_ผืน_นั้น ก็_เป็น_ของ_คุณ_อยู่_แล้ว_ก่อน_ที่_คุณ_จะ_ขาย_ไม่_ใช่_หรือ และ_หลัง_จาก_ที่_ขาย_แล้ว เงิน_นั้น_ก็_ยัง_อยู่_ใน_อำนาจ_ของ_คุณ_ไม่_ใช่_หรือ แล้ว_ทำ_ไม_คุณ_ถึง_คิด_ทำ_อย่าง_นี้ คุณ_กำลัง_โกหก_พระเจ้า ไม่_ได้_โกหก_พวก_เรา_หรอก”

5 เมื่อ_อานาเนีย_ได้_ยิน_อย่าง_นี้_ก็_ล้ม_ลง_ขาดใจ_ตาย คน_ที่_ได้_ยิน_เรื่อง_นี้_ต่าง_ก็_ตกใจ_กลัว_ยิ่ง_นัก

6 ชาย_หนุ่ม_หลาย_คน_มา_ห่อ_ศพ_ของ_อานาเนีย_แล้ว_หาม_ออก_ไป_ฝัง

7 หลัง_จาก_นั้น_อีก_ประมาณ_สาม_ชั่วโมง ภรรยา_ของ_อานาเนีย_ซึ่ง_ยัง_ไม่_รู้_ว่า_เกิด_อะไร_ขึ้น_ก็_เดิน_เข้า_มา

8 เปโตร_ถาม_เธอ_ว่า “บอก_หน่อย_ว่า คุณ_ขาย_ที่ดิน_ได้_เงิน_เท่า_นี้_หรือ” สัปฟีรา_ตอบ_ว่า “ใช่_แล้ว_ค่ะ”

9 แล้ว_เปโตร_ก็_ต่อว่า_เธอ_ว่า “ทำ_ไม_คุณ_สอง_คน_ถึง_ได้_สมคบ_กัน ลองดี_กับ_พระ_วิญญาณ_ของ_องค์_เจ้า_ชีวิต ดู_นั่น_สิ คน_พวก_นั้น_ที่_ไป_ฝัง_ศพ_สามี_คุณ_มา_อยู่_ที่_หน้า_ประตู_แล้ว และ_พวก_เขา_จะ_หาม_ศพ_ของ_คุณ_ออก_ไป_ด้วย_เหมือน_กัน”

10 สัปฟีรา_ก็_ล้ม_ลง_ตรง_เท้า_ของ_เปโตร แล้ว_ขาดใจ_ตาย_ทัน_ที เมื่อ_ชาย_หนุ่ม_พวก_นั้น_เดิน_เข้า_มา ก็_เห็น_ว่า_เธอ_ตาย_แล้ว พวก_เขา_จึง_หาม_ศพ_ของ_เธอ_ออก_ไป_ฝัง_ไว้_ข้างๆ_สามี_ของ_เธอ

11 ทั้ง_หมู่_ประชุม_ของ_พระเจ้า และ_ทุก_คน_ที่_ได้_ยิน_เรื่อง_นี้ ต่าง_ก็_เกิด_ความ_เกรง_กลัว_ยิ่ง_นัก

ศิษย์_เอก_ทำการ_อัศจรรย์

12 พวก_ศิษย์_เอก_ได้_ทำการ_อัศจรรย์ และ_ปาฏิหาริย์_หลาย_อย่าง_ใน_หมู่_ประชาชน และ_พวก_คน_ที่_เชื่อ_ก็_มา_ประชุม_กัน_ที่_ระเบียง_ซาโลมอน_อยู่_เรื่อยๆ

13 คน_อื่นๆ_ไม่_มี_ใคร_กล้า_ที่_จะ_ไป_รวม_กลุ่ม_กับ_พวก_เขา แต่_ก็_เคารพ_นับถือ_พวก_เขา_มาก

14 พระเจ้า_ได้_เพิ่ม_จำนวน_คน_ที่_เชื่อ_มาก_ขึ้น_เรื่อยๆ_ทั้ง_ชาย_และ_หญิง ให้_มา_เป็น_คน_ของ_องค์_เจ้า_ชีวิต

15 ดัง_นั้น ประชาชน_ต่าง_ก็_นำ_คน_เจ็บ_ป่วย_มา_วาง_บน_แคร่_หรือ_เสื่อ_แล้ว_นำ_ไป_ไว้_ข้าง_ถนน เพื่อ_ว่า_เวลา_ที่_เปโตร_เดิน_ผ่าน_ไป อย่าง_น้อย_เงา_ของ_ท่าน_อาจ_จะ_ได้_ทอด_ลง_มา_บน_ตัว_ของ_พวก_เขา_บ้าง

16 มี_ฝูงชน_ที่_มา_จาก_ชาน_เมือง_รอบๆ_เมือง_เยรูซาเล็ม_ด้วย พวก_เขา_ต่าง_ก็_พา_คน_ป่วย_และ_คน_ที่_ได้_รับ_ความ_ทุกข์_ทรมาน_จาก_ผี_ร้าย_เข้า_สิง_มา ซึ่ง_พวก_นี้_ก็_ได้_รับ_การ_รักษา_ให้_หาย_ทุก_คน

ผู้นำ_ชาว_ยิว_ขัด_ขวาง_พวก_ศิษย์_เอก

17 หัวหน้า_นักบวช_สูงสุด และ_พรรคพวก_ของ_เขา_ทุก_คน ซึ่ง_เป็น_กลุ่ม_สะดูสี ก็_เกิด_ความ_โกรธ_แค้น และ_อิจฉา_ริษยา

18 พวก_เขา_จึง_จับกุม_พวก_ศิษย์_เอก_ไป_ขัง_ไว้_ใน_คุก

19 แต่_ใน_คืน_นั้น_เอง ทูตสวรรค์_ของ_องค์_เจ้า_ชีวิต_ได้_มา_เปิด_ประตู_คุก แล้ว_พา_พวก_ศิษย์_เอก_ออก_ไป ทูตสวรรค์_ได้_สั่ง_ว่า

20 “ให้_ไป_ยืน_อยู่_ใน_วิหาร บอก_กับ_ประชาชน_ถึง_เรื่อง_ทั้ง_หมด_ที่_เกี่ยว_กับ_ชีวิต_ใหม่_นี้”

21 เมื่อ_พวก_ศิษย์_เอก_ได้_ยิน_อย่าง_นั้น พอ_รุ่งเช้า_พวก_เขา_ก็_เข้า_ไป_ใน_วิหาร และ_เริ่ม_สั่งสอน_ประชาชน เมื่อ_หัวหน้า_นักบวช_สูงสุด_และ_พรรคพวก_ของ_เขา_มา_ถึง_วิหาร ก็_เรียก_ประชุม_สมาชิก_สภา รวม_ทั้ง_สมาชิก_ผู้นำ_อาวุโส_ของ_อิสราเอล_ทั้ง_หมด และ_ใช้_เจ้าหน้าที่_ไป_คุม_ตัว_พวก_ศิษย์_เอก_ออก_มา_จาก_คุก

22 แต่_เมื่อ_เจ้าหน้าที่_ไป_ถึง_คุก กลับ_ไม่_พบ_พวก_ศิษย์_เอก_อยู่_ใน_นั้น พวก_เขา_กลับ_มา_ราย_งาน_ว่า

23 “พวก_เรา_เห็น_คุก_ปิด_ใส่_กุญแจ_แน่น_หนา และ_ยาม_ก็_ยัง_เฝ้า_อยู่_ที่_ประตู แต่_เมื่อ_เปิด_ประตู_เข้า_ไป_ก็_ไม่_เห็น_มี_ใคร_อยู่_ใน_นั้น_เลย”

24 เมื่อ_หัวหน้า_ยาม_ที่_เฝ้า_วิหาร และ_พวก_หัวหน้า_นักบวช_ได้_ยิน ก็_งุนงง_และ_สงสัย_ว่า_เกิด_อะไร_ขึ้น

25 จาก_นั้น_มี_คน_เข้า_มา_ราย_งาน_ว่า “พวก_คน_ที่_ท่าน_จับ_ไป_ขัง_ไว้_ใน_คุก_นั้น ตอน_นี้_กำลัง_ยืน_สั่งสอน_ประชาชน_อยู่_ใน_วิหาร”

26 จาก_นั้น_หัวหน้า_ยาม_กับ_เจ้าหน้าที่_ก็_ออก_ไป_นำ_ตัว_พวก_ศิษย์_เอก_กลับ_มา แต่_ไม่_ได้_ใช้_กำลัง_บังคับ เพราะ_กลัว_ประชาชน_จะ_เอา_หิน_ขว้าง_พวก_เขา

27 พวก_เขา_นำ_ตัว_พวก_ศิษย์_เอก_เข้า_มา_ยืน_อยู่_ต่อหน้า_สภา แล้ว_หัวหน้า_นักบวช_สูงสุด_ก็_ถาม_พวก_เขา_ว่า

28 “พวก_เรา_สั่ง_ห้าม_อย่าง_เด็ด_ขาด_แล้ว_ไม่_ให้_พูด_ถึง_เยซู_เวลา_ที่_สั่งสอน แต่_พวก_แก_ก็_ยัง_เผยแพร่_คำ_สอน_นี้_ไป_ทั่ว_เมือง_เยรูซาเล็ม แล้ว_ยัง_โทษ_พวก_เรา ว่า_ทำ_ให้_มัน_ต้อง_ตาย_อีก_ด้วย”

29 เปโตร_และ_พวก_ศิษย์_เอก_คน_อื่นๆ_ก็_ตอบ_ว่า “พวก_เรา_ต้อง_เชื่อ_ฟัง_พระเจ้า_มาก_กว่า_เชื่อ_ฟัง_มนุษย์

30 พระเจ้า_ของ_บรรพบุรุษ_เรา_ทำ_ให้_พระ_เยซู คน_ที่_ท่าน_ได้_ตรึง_ที่_ไม้_กางเขน_นั้น_ฟื้น_ขึ้น_มา_อีก

31 พระเจ้า_ได้_ยก_พระ_เยซู_ไว้_ให้_อยู่_ที่_ด้าน_ขวา_ของ_พระองค์ ใน_ฐานะ_เจ้าฟ้า_ชาย_และ_ผู้ช่วย_ให้_รอด เพื่อ_ที่_ชนชาติ_อิสราเอล_จะ_ได้_กลับ_ตัว_กลับ_ใจ_เสียใหม่ และ_ได้_รับ_การ_ยกโทษ_จาก_ความ_ผิด_บาป_ของ_เขา_ผ่าน_ทาง_พระ_เยซู

32 พวก_เรา_เป็น_พยาน_ใน_เรื่อง_นี้ และ_พระ_วิญญาณ_บริสุทธิ์ ที่_พระเจ้า_มอบ_ให้_กับ_ทุก_คน_ที่_เชื่อ_ฟัง_พระองค์_ก็_เป็น_พยาน_ด้วย_เหมือน_กัน”

33 เมื่อ_พวก_สมาชิก_ใน_สภา_ได้_ยิน_อย่าง_นั้น ก็_โกรธ_แค้น_มาก และ_ต้อง_การ_ฆ่า_ศิษย์_เอก_พวก_นี้

34 แต่_มี_สมาชิก_สภา_คน_หนึ่ง เป็น_ฟาริสี ชื่อ_กามาลิเอล และ_เป็น_ครู_สอน_กฎ_ปฏิบัติ_เป็น_คน_ที่_ประชาชน_ทุก_คน_ให้_ความ_เคารพ_นับถือ ได้_ลุก_ขึ้น_ยืน_และ_สั่ง_ให้_พา_พวก_ศิษย์_เอก_ออก_ไป_ข้าง_นอก_สักครู่_หนึ่ง

35 แล้ว_เขา_ก็_พูด_ว่า “ชาว_อิสราเอล_ทั้งหลาย ระวัง_ให้_ดี_ใน_สิ่ง_ที่_คุณ_จะ_ทำ_กับ_ชาย_พวก_นี้

36 จำ_ได้_ไหม ตอน_ที่_มี_คน_ชื่อ_ธุดาส_โผล่_มา แล้ว_อ้าง_ว่า_ตน_เอง_เป็น_ผู้_ยิ่ง_ใหญ่ มี_คน_ติด_ตาม_เขา_ประมาณ_สี่_ร้อย_คน เมื่อ_เขา_ถูก_ฆ่า พวก_ศิษย์_ของ_เขา_ก็_กระจัด_กระจาย_ไป_โดย_ไม่_มี_อะไร_เกิด_ขึ้น

37 หลัง_จาก_ธุดาส_แล้ว_ก็_มี_ยูดาส_ชาว_กาลิลี_โผล่_มา_อีก ใน_ช่วง_เวลา_ที่_ทำ_สำมะโนครัวt เขา_ได้_ชักจูง_ผู้คน_ให้_ติด_ตาม_เขา_ไป แต่_เขา_ก็_ถูก_ฆ่า_ตาย_ด้วย แล้ว_พวก_ศิษย์_ของ_เขา_ก็_กระจัด_กระจาย_กัน_ไป

38 ใน_ครั้ง_นี้_ก็_เหมือน_กัน ผม_ขอ_บอก_ให้_พวก_คุณ_อยู่_ห่าง_จาก_คน_พวก_นี้ อย่า_ไป_ยุ่ง_กับ_พวก_เขา_เลย เพราะ_ถ้า_แผนการ_หรือ_งาน_นี้_ของ_พวก_เขา_มา_จาก_มนุษย์ มัน_ก็_จะ_ล้มเหลว_ไป_เอง

39 แต่_ถ้า_แผนการ_นี้_มา_จาก_พระเจ้า_แล้ว_ละ_ก็ คุณ_ไม่_มี_ทาง_หยุด_ยั้ง_ได้_หรอก และ_คุณ_ก็_จะ_พบ_ว่า_ตัวเอง_กำลัง_ต่อสู้_อยู่_กับ_พระเจ้า” พวก_เขา_ก็_ยอม_ฟัง_คำ_แนะนำ_ของ_กามาลิเอล

40 พวก_เขา_จึง_เรียก_พวก_ศิษย์_เอก_เข้า_มา_แล้ว_เฆี่ยน_ตี สั่ง_ไม่_ให้_พูด_เรื่อง_ของ_พระ_เยซู_อีก แล้ว_จึง_ปล่อย_ตัว_ไป

41 พวก_ศิษย์_เอก_ออก_จาก_สภา_มา_ด้วย_ความ_ชื่นชม_ยินดี เพราะ_ถือ_ว่า_การ_ที่_พวก_เขา_ได้_รับ_ความ_อับอาย_จาก_การ_พูด_เรื่อง_ของ_พระ_เยซู_นั้น เป็น_เรื่อง_ที่_พระเจ้า_ให้_เกียรติ

42 และ_พวก_ศิษย์_เอก_ก็_ไม่_เคย_หยุด_สั่งสอน_และ_ประกาศ_ข่าว_ดี_ว่า_พระ_เยซู_คือ_กษัตริย์_ผู้_ยิ่ง_ใหญ่ ใน_วิหาร_และ_ตาม_บ้าน_เรือน_ของ_ผู้คน_ทุกๆ_วัน

Acts 5

Fate of Ananias and Sapphira

1 But a man named Ananias, with his wife Sapphira, sold a piece of property,2 and kept back some of the price for himself, with his wife's full knowledge, and bringing a portion of it, he laid it at the apostles' feet.3 But Peter said, "Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back some of the price of the land?4 While it remained unsold, did it not remain your own? And after it was sold, was it not under your control? Why is it that you have conceived this deed in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God."5 And as he heard these words, Ananias fell down and breathed his last; and great fear came over all who heard of it.6 The young men got up and covered him up, and after carrying him out, they buried him.

7 Now there elapsed an interval of about three hours, and his wife came in, not knowing what had happened.8 And Peter responded to her, "Tell me whether you sold the land for such and such a price?" And she said, "Yes, that was the price."9 Then Peter said to her, "Why is it that you have agreed together to put the Spirit of the Lord to the test? Behold, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out as well. "10 And immediately she fell at his feet and breathed her last, and the young men came in and found her dead, and they carried her out and buried her beside her husband.11 And great fear came over the whole church, and over all who heard of these things.

12 At the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were taking place among the people; and they were all with one accord in Solomon's portico.13 But none of the rest dared to associate with them; however, the people held them in high esteem.14 And all the more believers in the Lord, multitudes of men and women, were constantly added to their number, 15 to such an extent that they even carried the sick out into the streets and laid them on cots and pallets, so that when Peter came by at least his shadow might fall on any one of them.16 Also the people from the cities in the vicinity of Jerusalem were coming together, bringing people who were sick tor afflicted with unclean spirits, and they were all being healed.

Imprisonment and Release

17 But the high priest rose up, along with all his associates (that is the sect of the Sadducees), and they were filled with jealousy.18 They laid hands on the apostles and put them in a public jail.19 But during the night an angel of the Lord opened the gates of the prison, and taking them out he said,20 "Go, stand and speak to the people in the temple the whole message of this Life."

21 Upon hearing this, they entered into the temple about daybreak and began to teach.
Now when the high priest and his associates came, they called the Council together, even all the Senate of the sons of Israel, and sent orders to the prison house for them to be brought.22 But the officers who came did not find them in the prison; and they returned and reported back,23 saying, "We found the prison house locked quite securely and the guards standing at the doors; but when we had opened up, we found no one inside."24 Now when the captain of the temple guard and the chief priests heard these words, they were greatly perplexed about them as to what would come of this.25 But someone came and reported to them, "The men whom you put in prison are standing in the temple and teaching the people!"26 Then the captain went along with the officers and proceeded to bring them back without violence (for they were afraid of the people, that they might be stoned).

27 When they had brought them, they stood them before the Council. The high priest questioned them,28 saying, "We gave you strict orders not to continue teaching in this name, and yet, you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching and intend to bring this man's blood upon us."29 But Peter and the apostles answered, "We must obey God rather than men.30 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom you had put to death by hanging Him on a cross.31 He is the one whom God exalted to His right hand as a Prince and a Savior, to grant repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.32 And we are witnesses tof these things; and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey Him."

Gamaliel's Counsel

33 But when they heard this, they were cut to the quick and intended to kill them.34 But a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the Law, respected by all the people, stood up in the Council and gave orders to put the men outside for a short time.35 And he said to them, "Men of Israel, take care what you propose to do with these men.36 For some time ago Theudas rose up, claiming to be somebody, and a group of about four hundred men joined up with him. But he was killed, and all who followed him were dispersed and came to nothing.37 After this man, Judas of Galilee rose up in the days of the census and drew away some people after him; he too perished, and all those who followed him were scattered.38 So in the present case, I say to you, stay away from these men and let them alone, for if this plan or action is of men, it will be overthrown;39 but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them; or else you may even be found fighting against God."

40 They took his advice; and after calling the apostles in, they flogged them and ordered them not to speak in the name of Jesus, and then released them.41 So they went on their way from the presence of the Council, rejoicing that they had been considered worthy to suffer shame for His name.42 And every day, in the temple and from house to house, they kept right on teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ.
