Psalm 18

1 I love thee, O Jehovah, my strength.2 Jehovah is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer;3 I will call upon Jehovah, who is worthy to be praised:4 The cords of death compassed me,5 The cords of Sheol were round about me;6 In my distress I called upon Jehovah,7 Then the earth shook and trembled;8 There went up a smoke out of his nostrils,9 He bowed the heavens also, and came down;10 And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly;11 He made darkness his hiding-place, his pavilion round about him,12 At the brightness before him his thick clouds passed,13 Jehovah also thundered in the heavens,14 And he sent out his arrows, and scattered them;15 Then the channels of waters appeared,16 He sent from on high, he took me;17 He delivered me from my strong enemy,18 They came upon me in the day of my calamity;19 He brought me forth also into a large place;20 Jehovah hath rewarded me according to my righteousness;21 For I have kept the ways of Jehovah,22 For all his ordinances were before me,23 I was also perfect with him,24 Therefore hath Jehovah recompensed me according to my righteousness,25 With the merciful thou wilt show thyself merciful;26 With the pure thou wilt show thyself pure;27 For thou wilt save the afflicted people;28 For thou wilt light my lamp:29 For by thee I run upon a troop;30 As for God, his way is perfect:31 For who is God, save Jehovah?32 The God that girdeth me with strength,33 He maketh my feet like hinds’ feet:34 He teacheth my hands to war;35 Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation;36 Thou hast enlarged my steps under me,37 I will pursue mine enemies, and overtake them;38 I will smite them through, so that they shall not be able to rise:39 For thou hast girded me with strength unto the battle:40 Thou hast also made mine enemies turn their backs unto me,41 They cried, but there was none to save;42 Then did I beat them small as the dust before the wind;43 Thou hast delivered me from the strivings of the people;44 As soon as they hear of me they shall obey me;45 The foreigners shall fade away,46 Jehovah liveth; and blessed be my rock;47 Even the God that executeth vengeance for me,48 He rescueth me from mine enemies;49 Therefore I will give thanks unto thee, O Jehovah, among the nations,50 Great deliverance giveth he to his king,

Psalm 19

1 The heavens declare the glory of God;2 Day unto day uttereth speech,3 There is no speech nor language;4 Their line is gone out through all the earth,5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber,6 His going forth is from the end of the heavens,

7 The law of Jehovah is perfect, restoring the soul:8 The precepts of Jehovah are right, rejoicing the heart:9 The fear of Jehovah is clean, enduring for ever:10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold;11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned:12 Who can discern his errors?13 Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins;14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart

Psalm 20

1 Jehovah answer thee in the day of trouble;2 Send thee help from the sanctuary,3 Remember all thy offerings,

4 Grant thee thy heart’s desire,5 We will triumph in thy salvation,6 Now know I that Jehovah saveth his anointed;7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses;8 They are bowed down and fallen;9 Save, Jehovah:
