Psalm 44
1 We have heard with our ears, O God,2 Thou didst drive out the nations with thy hand;3 For they gat not the land in possession by their own sword,4 Thou art my King, O God:5 Through thee will we push down our adversaries:6 For I will not trust in my bow,7 But thou hast saved us from our adversaries,8 In God have we made our boast all the day long,
9 But now thou hast cast us off, and brought us to dishonor,10 Thou makest us to turn back from the adversary;11 Thou hast made us like sheep appointed for food,12 Thou sellest thy people for nought,13 Thou makest us a reproach to our neighbors,14 Thou makest us a byword among the nations,15 All the day long is my dishonor before me,16 For the voice of him that reproacheth and blasphemeth,17 All this is come upon us;18 Our heart is not turned back,19 That thou hast sore broken us in the place of jackals,20 If we have forgotten the name of our God,21 Will not God search this out?22 Yea, for thy sake are we killed all the day long;23 Awake, why sleepest thou, O Lord?24 Wherefore hidest thou thy face,25 For our soul is bowed down to the dust:26 Rise up for our help,
Psalm 45
1 My heart overfloweth with a goodly matter;2 Thou art fairer than the children of men;3 Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O mighty one,4 And in thy majesty ride on prosperously,5 Thine arrows are sharp;6 Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever:7 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated wickedness:8 All thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia;9 Kings’ daughters are among thy honorable women:10 Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear;11 So will the king desire thy beauty;12 And the daughter of Tyre shall be there with a gift;13 The king’s daughter within the palace is all glorious:14 She shall be led unto the king in broidered work:15 With gladness and rejoicing shall they be led:16 Instead of thy fathers shall be thy children,17 I will make thy name to be remembered in all generations:
Psalm 46
1 God is our refuge and strength,2 Therefore will we not fear, though the earth do change,3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled,
4 There is a river, the streams whereof make glad the city of God,5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved:
6 The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved:7 Jehovah of hosts is with us;
8 Come, behold the works of Jehovah,9 He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth;10 Be still, and know that I am God:11 Jehovah of hosts is with us;
