Psalm 50
1 The Mighty One, God, Jehovah, hath spoken,2 Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty,3 Our God cometh, and doth not keep silence:4 He calleth to the heavens above,5 Gather my saints together unto me,6 And the heavens shall declare his righteousness;
7 Hear, O my people, and I will speak;8 I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices;9 I will take no bullock out of thy house,10 For every beast of the forest is mine,11 I know all the birds of the mountains;12 If I were hungry, I would not tell thee;13 Will I eat the flesh of bulls,14 Offer unto God the sacrifice of thanksgiving;15 And call upon me in the day of trouble;
16 But unto the wicked God saith,17 Seeing thou hatest instruction,18 When thou sawest a thief, thou consentedst with him,19 Thou givest thy mouth to evil,20 Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother;21 These things hast thou done, and I kept silence;22 Now consider this, ye that forget God,23 Whoso offereth the sacrifice of thanksgiving glorifieth me;
Psalm 51
1 Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness:2 Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity,3 For I know my transgressions;4 Against thee, thee only, have I sinned,5 Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity;6 Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts;7 Purify me with hyssop, and I shall be clean:8 Make me to hear joy and gladness,9 Hide thy face from my sins,10 Create in me a clean heart, O God;11 Cast me not away from thy presence;12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation;13 Then will I teach transgressors thy ways;14 Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation;15 O Lord, open thou my lips;16 For thou delightest not in sacrifice; else would I give it:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit:18 Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion:19 Then will thou delight in the sacrifices of righteousness,
Psalm 52
1 Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man?2 Thy tongue deviseth very wickedness,3 Thou lovest evil more than good,
4 Thou lovest all devouring words,5 God will likewise destroy thee for ever;
6 The righteous also shall see it, and fear,7 Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength,8 But as for me, I am like a green olive-tree in the house of God:9 I will give thee thanks for ever, because thou hast done it;
