Psalm 86

1 Bow down thine ear, O Jehovah, and answer me;2 Preserve my soul; for I am godly:3 Be merciful unto me, O Lord;4 Rejoice the soul of thy servant;5 For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive,6 Give ear, O Jehovah, unto my prayer;7 In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee;8 There is none like unto thee among the gods, O Lord;9 All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord;10 For thou art great, and doest wondrous things:11 Teach me thy way, O Jehovah; I will walk in thy truth:12 I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with my whole heart;13 For great is thy lovingkindness toward me;14 O God, the proud are risen up against me,15 But thou, O Lord, art a God merciful and gracious,16 Oh turn unto me, and have mercy upon me;17 Show me a token for good,

Psalm 87

1 His foundation is in the holy mountains.2 Jehovah loveth the gates of Zion3 Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God.

4 I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon as among them that know me:5 Yea, of Zion it shall be said, This one and that one was born in her;6 Jehovah will count, when he writeth up the peoples,

1 O Jehovah, the God of my salvation,2 Let my prayer enter into thy presence;3 For my soul is full of troubles,4 I am reckoned with them that go down into the pit;5 Cast off among the dead,6 Thou hast laid me in the lowest pit,7 Thy wrath lieth hard upon me,

8 Thou hast put mine acquaintance far from me;9 Mine eye wasteth away by reason of affliction:10 Wilt thou show wonders to the dead?

11 Shall thy lovingkindness be declared in the grave?12 Shall thy wonders be known in the dark?13 But unto thee, O Jehovah, have I cried;14 Jehovah, why castest thou off my soul?15 I am afflicted and ready to die from my youth up:16 Thy fierce wrath is gone over me;17 They came round about me like water all the day long;18 Lover and friend hast thou put far from me,
