Psalm 8
1 O Jehovah, our Lord, How excellent is thy name in all the earth,2 Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou established strength,3 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers,4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him?5 For thou hast made him but little lower than God,6 Thou makest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands;7 All sheep and oxen,8 The birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea,9 O Jehovah, our Lord,
Psalm 9
1 I will give thanks unto Jehovah with my whole heart;2 I will be glad and exult in thee;3 When mine enemies turn back,4 For thou hast maintained my right and my cause;5 Thou hast rebuked the nations, thou hast destroyed the wicked;6 The enemy are come to an end, they are desolate for ever;7 But Jehovah sitteth as king for ever:8 And he will judge the world in righteousness,9 Jehovah also will be a high tower for the oppressed,10 And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee;11 Sing praises to Jehovah, who dwelleth in Zion:12 For he that maketh inquisition for blood remembereth them;13 Have mercy upon me, O Jehovah;14 That I may show forth all thy praise.15 The nations are sunk down in the pit that they made:16 Jehovah hath made himself known, he hath executed judgment:
17 The wicked shall be turned back unto Sheol,18 For the needy shall not alway be forgotten,19 Arise, O Jehovah; let not man prevail:20 Put them in fear, O Jehovah:
Psalm 10
1 Why standest thou afar off, O Jehovah?2 In the pride of the wicked the poor is hotly pursued;3 For the wicked boasteth of his heart’s desire,4 The wicked, in the pride of his countenance, saith, He will not require it.5 His ways are firm at all times;6 He saith in his heart, I shall not be moved;7 His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and oppression:8 He sitteth in the lurking-places of the villages;9 He lurketh in secret as a lion in his covert;10 He croucheth, he boweth down,11 He saith in his heart, God hath forgotten;12 Arise, O Jehovah; O God, lift up thy hand:13 Wherefore doth the wicked contemn God,14 Thou hast seen it; for thou beholdest mischief and spite, to requite it with thy hand:15 Break thou the arm of the wicked;16 Jehovah is King for ever and ever:17 Jehovah, thou hast heard the desire of the meek:18 To judge the fatherless and the oppressed,
