1 tPaulo, mtume wa Kristo Yesu kwa mapenzi ya Mungu, na Timotheo, ndugu yetu,
2 tkwa ndugu watakatifu, waaminifu katika Kristo, walioko Kolosai. Neema na iwe kwenu, na amani, zitokazo kwa Mungu Baba yetu.Paulo Amshukuru Mungu kwa ajili ya Wakolosai
3 tTwamshukuru Mungu, Baba yake Bwana wetu Yesu Kristo, siku zote tukiwaombea; 4 ttangu tuliposikia habari za imani yenu katika Kristo Yesu, na upendo mlio nao kwa watakatifu wote; 5 tkwa sababu ya tumaini mlilowekewa akiba mbinguni; ambalo habari zake mlizisikia zamani kwa neno la kweli ya Injili; 6 tiliyofika kwenu, kama ilivyo katika ulimwengu wote, na kuzaa matunda na kukua, kama inavyokua kwenu pia, tangu siku mlipoisikia mkaifahamu sana neema ya Mungu katika kweli; 7 tkama mlivyofundishwa na Epafra, mjoli wetu mpenzi, aliye mhudumu mwaminifu wa Kristo kwa ajili yenu;
8 naye alitueleza upendo wenu katika Roho.
9 tKwa sababu hiyo sisi nasi, tangu siku ile tuliposikia, hatuachi kufanya maombi na dua kwa ajili yenu, ili mjazwe maarifa ya mapenzi yake katika hekima yote na ufahamu wa rohoni; 10 tmwenende kama ulivyo wajibu wenu kwa Bwana, mkimpendeza kabisa; mkizaa matunda kwa kila kazi njema, na kuzidi katika maarifa ya Mungu; 11 tmkiwezeshwa kwa uwezo wote, kwa kadiri ya nguvu ya utukufu wake, mpate kuwa na saburi ya kila namna na uvumilivu pamoja na furaha; 12 tmkimshukuru Baba, aliyewastahilisha kupokea sehemu ya urithi wa watakatifu katika nuru. 13 tNaye alituokoa katika nguvu za giza, akatuhamisha na kutuingiza katika ufalme wa Mwana wa pendo lake;
14 tambaye katika yeye tuna ukombozi, yaani, msamaha wa dhambi;Ukuu wa Kristo
15 tnaye ni mfano wa Mungu asiyeonekana, mzaliwa wa kwanza wa viumbe vyote. 16 tKwa kuwa katika yeye vitu vyote viliumbwa, vilivyo mbinguni na vilivyo juu ya nchi, vinavyoonekana na visivyoonekana; ikiwa ni vitu vya enzi, au usultani, au enzi, au mamlaka; vitu vyote viliumbwa kwa njia yake, na kwa ajili yake. 17 tNaye amekuwako kabla ya vitu vyote, na vitu vyote hushikana katika yeye. 18 tNaye ndiye kichwa cha mwili, yaani, cha kanisa; naye ni mwanzo, ni mzaliwa wa kwanza katika wafu, ili kwamba awe mtangulizi katika yote. 19 tKwa kuwa katika yeye ilipendeza utimilifu wote ukae; 20 tna kwa yeye kuvipatanisha vitu vyote na nafsi yake akiisha kufanya amani kwa damu ya msalaba wake; kwa yeye, ikiwa ni vitu vilivyo juu ya nchi, au vilivyo mbinguni. 21 tNa ninyi, mliokuwa hapo kwanza mmefarikishwa, tena adui katika nia zenu, kwa matendo yenu mabaya, amewapatanisha sasa; 22 tkatika mwili wa nyama yake, kwa kufa kwake, ili awalete ninyi mbele zake, watakatifu, wasio na mawaa wala lawama;
23 tmkidumu tu katika ile imani, hali mmewekwa juu ya msingi, mkawa imara; msipogeuzwa na kuliacha tumaini la Injili mliyosikia habari zake, iliyohubiriwa katika viumbe vyote vilivyo chini ya mbingu; ambayo mimi Paulo nalikuwa mhudumu wake.Nia ya Paulo kwa Wakolosai
24 tSasa nayafurahia mateso niliyo nayo kwa ajili yenu; tena nayatimiliza katika mwili wangu yale yaliyopungua ya mateso ya Kristo, kwa ajili ya mwili wake, yaani, kanisa lake; 25 tambalo nimefanywa mhudumu wake, sawasawa na uwakili wa Mungu, niliopewa kwa faida yenu, nilitimize neno la Mungu; 26 tsiri ile iliyofichwa tangu zamani zote na tangu vizazi vyote, bali sasa imefunuliwa kwa watakatifu wake; 27 tambao Mungu alipenda kuwajulisha jinsi ulivyo utajiri wa utukufu wa siri hii katika Mataifa, nao ni Kristo ndani yenu, tumaini la utukufu 28 tambaye sisi tunamhubiri habari zake tukimwonya kila mtu, na kumfundisha kila mtu katika hekima yote, tupate kumleta kila mtu mtimilifu katika Kristo. 29 tNami najitaabisha kwa neno lilo hilo, nikijitahidi kwa kadiri ya kutenda kazi kwake atendaye kazi ndani yangu kwa nguvu.
COLOSSIANS 1
1 From Paul, chosen by God to be an apostle of Christ Jesus, and from Timothy, who is also a follower.
2 To God's people who live in Colossae and are faithful followers of Christ.

3 Each time we pray for you, we thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. 4 We have heard of your faith in Christ and of your love for all God's people,
5 because what you hope for is kept safe for you in heaven. You first heard about this hope when you believed the true message, which is the good news.
6 The good news is spreading all over the world with great success. It has spread in this same way among you, ever since the first day you learned the truth about God's wonderful kindness 7 t from our good friend Epaphras. He works together with us for Christ and is a faithful worker for you.t
8 He is also the one who told us about the love that God's Spirit has given you.The Person and Work //of Christ
9 We have not stopped praying for you since the first day we heard about you. In fact, we always pray that God will show you everything he wants you to do and that you may have all the wisdom and understanding his Spirit gives. 10 Then you will live a life that honors the Lord, and you will always please him by doing good deeds. You will come to know God even better.
11 His glorious power will make you patient and strong enough to endure anything, and you will be truly happy.
12 I pray that you will be grateful to God for letting yout have part in what he has promised his people in the kingdom of light. 13 God rescued us from the dark power of Satan and brought us into the kingdom of his dear Son,
14 t who forgives our sins and sets us free.
15 t Christ is exactly like God,
who cannot be seen.
He is the first-born Son,
superior to all creation.
16 Everything was created by him,
everything in heaven
and on earth,
everything seen and unseen,
including all forces
and powers,
and all rulers
and authorities.
All things were created
by God's Son,
and everything was made
for him.
17 God's Son was before all else,
and by him everything
is held together.
18 t He is the head of his body,
which is the church.
He is the very beginning,
the first to be raised
from death,
so that he would be
above all others.
19 God himself was pleased
to live fully in his Son.
20 t And God was pleased
for him to make peace
by sacrificing his blood
on the cross,
so that all beings in heaven
and on earth
would be brought back to God.
21 You used to be far from God. Your thoughts made you his enemies, and you did evil things. 22 But his Son became a human and died. So God made peace with you, and now he lets you stand in his presence as people who are holy and faultless and innocent.
23 But you must stay deeply rooted and firm in your faith. You must not give up the hope you received when you heard the good news. It was preached to everyone on earth, and I myself have become a servant of this message.Paul's Service to the Church
24 I am glad I can suffer for you. I am pleased also that in my own body I can continuet the suffering of Christ for his body, the church. 25 God's plan was to make me a servant of his church and to send me to preach his complete message to you. 26 For ages and ages this message was kept secret from everyone, but now it has been explained to God's people.
27 God did this because he wanted you Gentiles to understand his wonderful and glorious mystery. And the mystery is that Christ lives in you, and he is your hope of sharing in God's glory.
28 We announce the message about Christ, and we use all our wisdom to warn and teach everyone, so all of Christ's followers will grow and become mature. 29 This is why I work so hard and use the mighty power he gives me.
